Quinlan has several venues and shops. This is the cheapest, but this is not noticeable either in the quality of the food, it is excellent!, or in the service, because the next day we were at the Mad Monk and there was the same waiter and cook.

The food was superb and fresh I love Ireland for this! Also, the atmosphere is clean, the setting is street-side drop-in, and the kitchen is in view of the dining area: the cooks are entertaining to watch. 😉

Someone recommended this place and it was a brilliant find. Atmosphere was great, location was great, prices were reasonable and food was great too. We also ordered the most popular fish & chips, seafood chowder and kids prawns meal. Although you cannot make humble fish & chips awesome but not messing it up is good enough for me. I would recommend this place for regular seafood. Nothing fancy, plain simple good food. On a side note, they do have washroom and you need to park at nearby public parking.

The Candle Room

27/03/2024: This place was wonderful. There are quirks associated with it being an older hotel, but they shouldn't bother anyone who can appreciate its central location. Simple example: you leave your room key with the front desk rather than have a swipe card. Security-wise, this is head-and-shoulders over just anyone potentially accessing your room. You can easily retrieve your key any time of day or night. The rooms were spacious, the linens immaculate, and the staff always available and very friendly. We had just left a modern hotel in Dublin with miserable HVAC and sealed windows, so the ability to open a window and get fresh air was literally refreshing. Yes, Killarney will start being noisy at 7:30AM as cleaning crews come through, but you hear nothing. Each time we needed anything at all, it was readily available.
26/03/2024: Lovely hotel Veronica was very nice on reception Laura who served us breakfast and dinner and the star of the show i think his name was tadhg We were there for our wedding anniversary so please god will go again next year great choice for breakfast

The Porter House

03/04/2024: The best place that I ate in Ireland (so far). First of all, you may want to book a reservation, I didn't and had to wait 15 minutes in the bar I order to sit. In the bar the bartender was helpful and suggested to me a couple of local beers to match with my food (also I couldn't help noticing the adroit way he poured the drinks). The rest of the stuff wasn't as nice as he was. The place looks really awesome, similar to an American burger house style/booth full with interesting frames and decoratives, I could keep my eyes from the walls. The food came early and it was really really good. (there is a whole vegan section on the menu with a couple of options from starters to burgers and main courses). I ordered the porterhouse plant based burger with black beans and the soup of the day (which was cauliflower soup) both were super tasty and the portions were more than satisfactioning (although the country potatoes sides to the burger was extra spicy, not the best to me). Prices were fine and I really liked the experience. I strongly recommend this place.
