We ate Valentia Harbour Chowder (a very delicious fish soup) and Pan Fried Salmon. We were satisfied. The place is small and has an open kitchen, so the inside of the restaurant smells a bit like frying. That's the only disadvantage.

Stopped here for lunch to try the fish and chips. The fish was quite good but the wild Atlantic squid was phenomenal! So glad we tried this spot!

It's a fiew years ago that a street seller pointed us to this bar. Still remember the experience. Best fish & chips on our whole four-week-trip. We shared a table with another couple because it was very busy. It was great company. So food & atmosphere are great!

This is far more than a fish and chips restaurant! The special was grilled John Dory on a bed of sumptuous couscous mixed with pine bits and roasted broccoli, so fresh and flavorful. Perfect with the Pinot Grigio. Went back for seconds!

It’s Easy to find good expensive restaurants. And one is drowning in pubs, pub food especially in tourist areas. But this place was fast, bit of a diner type setting with booths with great food and reasonably priced. Terrific service from the maitre de / waiters with a touch of charm and humor Highly recommend, and I travel frequently

09/06/2026: I wanted to love it, but several things fell short for us. We had a reservation, but the reception at the door was as if we were imposing a large group with no warning.... reservation was made weeks ago. Service was somewhat spotty with several staff attending- no consistency and some wait time. Bar manager seemed annoyed by our presence and our food allergy inquiries, and our musical requests to the band - odd feeling really. The food was just so so. Very little flavor in the salmon, the tarter sauce, the fish etc.... Nothing special. Didn't feel welcomed. Sorry, just wasn't a great experience.
02/06/2026: There were five of us at dinner and each of us had a different dish. We were all very satisfied. The atmosphere with the Irish music was also great.

19/05/2026: Great food, had a shared portion of chicken wings was a perfect portion for 2, also lovely pints of Murphys, our server was very friendly and helpful
25/04/2026: Bar none the best nachos I have ever had. Loads of chili and cheese etc on chips.
