Kitty O’Se’s in Killarney

As part of my birthday weekend, my hubby brought me here for dinner. We were late and almost lost our table (our own fault), just made it in time, despite this, the staff are very welcoming and friendly and very attentive. It’s obvious that this place is popular as every table was occupied. The waitress brought some bread to start with. I had sizzling prawns for starters and the seafood tagliatelle, my hubby had a caprese salad and hake fish. All of our dishes were tasty, my hubby said it was one of the best hake dishes he has had. By the end I was quite full so I wasn’t going to bother but my hubby insisted.. and then I knew why, when I heard the waiting staff singing “happy birthday” to me as they brought out my dessert which has a huge sparkler in the middle of the dessert, everyone joined in too, they even sang my name (I never experienced that before). I was definitely taken by surprise and just thought it was such a nice touch which added to the dining experience, despite not being regulars. It’s the little things that matter and count and I will share… Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the evening, ambience, food and service. It certainly lives up to the reviews and would highly recommend!! We will definitely return.

We ordered three different types of oyster plates, seafood chowder, fish and chips, calamari, and salmon. Everything was just great.

Everything was perfect, the atmosphere, the service and especially the food. We never had such excellent linguine with prawn and shrimps. We also had fresh Oysters which very also excellent. Thank you!

Great fish and chips and also good food for children

An amazing evening of food. Myself and my partner headed out for a lovely meal and I have to say the food was 10/10. Staff are incredibly friendly with one server helping in a couple of elderly ladies from down the road by holding their jackets and hands as well as cracking some jokes to welcome them in. Lovely atmosphere, fast service and just super friendly people will definitely be back again thanks guys

This restaurant was absolutely amazing. If you’re looking for a place where you can perfectly combine seafood and meat, this spot gets it for you !!! We ordered a surf and turf dish with both steak and seafood and We also tried a platter filled with a variety of different seafood!! Super delicious!! Definitely a mustvisit!

Everything about this place was great Sean was the best

Had a fantastic experience at Kitty O’Seas! We tried the Taligate and the Fish Curry Tahi—both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were amazing and everything tasted fresh. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food and a warm atmosphere!

Our family of four visited on October 26, 2025. This review is definitely overdue, but Kitty O’Sé’s Seafood and Grill in Killarney deserves the recognition. The restaurant itself is fairly small, but very welcoming and well put together. It has a noticeably upscale feel, which honestly made us hesitate a bit before walking in since we were coming straight from a long day of hiking and exploring, still dressed in our outdoor gear. Despite that, the staff treated us incredibly well from the moment we arrived. They were warm, friendly, and made us feel completely comfortable, which immediately set the tone for a great lunch. That kind of hospitality goes a long way, especially when you’re traveling with family. One of the things we were most excited about while visiting Ireland was finding some truly great seafood, and Kitty O’Sé’s absolutely delivered. In fact, the fish and chips here were hands down the best we had anywhere in Ireland. My daughter and I both agreed on that without hesitation. The fish was perfectly cooked, the batter was crisp and light, and everything on the plate just worked. Our family of four enjoyed every single dish as it was excellent. It’s not often that everyone at the table is equally happy with their meal, but that was definitely the case here. If you’re visiting Killarney and looking for a great seafood dinner with genuinely friendly service, this place is absolutely worth a stop.
