Kitty O’Se’s in Killarney

Born and raised in coastal New England. Best chowder I’ve ever had. Went twice in a 3 day span for it. Might ruin chowder for me going forward!!

Seafood chowder was amazing, fish and chips were delicious. Small restaurant in a great location with free parking from 6:30 pm. Friendly staff, fast service, quality food.

Reservations recommended. Delicious local seafood for people who dont want to spend a premium on it. Threw together the local stone crab claw starter and seafood tagliatelle. Asked for some lemon wedges to wrangle the richness of the cream sauce. Enjoy!

Wow! Just wow! With gluten and dairy allergies in our group, they did AMAZING. 🤩 Their menu is not marked but they have a lovely little website that lists all their allergens. You just scan the QR code with your phone and can filter based on your allergies and the food type you’re looking for. The staff was knowledgeable about my intolerances and did their best to make sure I was taken care of. They even had gluten free beer, bread, and dessert! So pleased and surprised. High-quality dishes, excellent products

We had the early dinner special, 29 euro for 2 courses, or 37 euro for 3 courses. You must order by 6:30pm for the special on a weekdays. The food is excellent. Safer to make a reservation to assure seating.

Service by Julie was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their dinners, even a non fish eater!

One of my favorite meals of our trip. The seafood was fresh and delicious. The service was wonderful and friendly. We luckily got a table walking in, but I would recommend a reservation to be sure you can enjoy this experience.

As part of my birthday weekend, my hubby brought me here for dinner. We were late and almost lost our table (our own fault), just made it in time, despite this, the staff are very welcoming and friendly and very attentive. It’s obvious that this place is popular as every table was occupied. The waitress brought some bread to start with. I had sizzling prawns for starters and the seafood tagliatelle, my hubby had a caprese salad and hake fish. All of our dishes were tasty, my hubby said it was one of the best hake dishes he has had. By the end I was quite full so I wasn’t going to bother but my hubby insisted.. and then I knew why, when I heard the waiting staff singing “happy birthday” to me as they brought out my dessert which has a huge sparkler in the middle of the dessert, everyone joined in too, they even sang my name (I never experienced that before). I was definitely taken by surprise and just thought it was such a nice touch which added to the dining experience, despite not being regulars. It’s the little things that matter and count and I will share… Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the evening, ambience, food and service. It certainly lives up to the reviews and would highly recommend!! We will definitely return.
