Lovely atmosphere in this classic pub with very friendly staff. Only incredibly fresh seafood is on the menu here. Had fantastic hake, and the oysters were too. Afterwards, took the ferry to Valentia Island.

For once, I'm still talking about a restaurant. You have to experience it. The service and the food are unbeatable. I'm actually speechless. This is how gastronomy should be, this is how you serve fresh fish and seafood.

Absolutely fresh fish Super friendly team Highly recommended Arrive early, reservations aren't accepted but you can also wait at the cozy bar! Popular with locals!

3rd time visiting and it's always a good experience. Staff are very professional and always a smile on them. They have the place running as efficient as possible! Emma was very gentile and you can feel her sincerity when she says "bon appetite". Lovely food and love the oysters

Went a couple years ago with my mother. Never left a review then, but it was incredible, a hidden gem with great atmosphere and wonderful fresh food, in a wonderful setting too.

Nevin's Newfield Inn

11/05/2026: We visited Nevin's Restaurant as part of a tour group of 50 people, the staff were excellent, attentive, and kind. The food and drinks all came out so prompty when we had a short time limit and was delicious. Nicest muscles and chowder we've had. Prices were also very reasonable. Very quaint, we wish that we had longer to spend here.
08/05/2026: Stopped here for a break and a bite on my way home. Food was delicious, fresh and great value (really big portion). The menu had a nice selection of food and they also have gluten free options. The staff was great, friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

08/05/2026: Dining at The Cottage with family was a wonderful experience The staff and food were par excellence! Go and enjoy if you happen to pass by - you won't be disappointed!
29/03/2026: Nice little restaurant. Service was great all round. First course pâté was the best I've had in a long time. The scallops were perfectly cooked, went well with everything else on the plate, and the roe was left on (ideal). The lamb pastry and the crispy coconut rice dishes were very nice. The inconsistency in the size of the garnish on the rice was a bit weird though and felt unfitting. Halibut dish was alright. Every element of the dish was amazing, except for the halibut itself. Just a bit plain and a bit overcooked for me. Guinea fowl was lovely. Poached pear dessert was amazing. The baked Alaska was world class. Good portion sizes. I see myself returning
