The atmosphere and staff are very friendly, so smart... no reservations needed, arriving an hour early is highly recommended! Be aware that if the port parking lot is full, there won't be much space on the road either, or even on the path...

The wait for a table was definitely worth it. The owner is kind and friendly, always ready to help and take care of everyone. The fish is incredibly fresh and smells of the sea with every bite. Recommended for anyone passing through Portmagee or Valentia Island. Thanks for the experience!

A fantastic family run restaurant and pub serving beautiful simple seafood. Great value. A must. Have drink while you wait for a table if busy, which it will be.

The food was really excellent - fresh, tasty, well-presented and good value for the high quality served. The service could do with some improvement by being better organised during busy periods (and the place was packed when we visited). That being said, the staff were very nice. Would absolutely come back though because the food was fabulous and the place itself is lovely.

Dromoland Castle

30/05/2026: There’s a reason why this is a 5 Star resort and they earn every day. The service was impeccable, staff were friendly and helpful, grounds were glorious and the room was spacious. We did the falconry class which was an amazing experience while being educational. I didn’t get to golf, but the course looked breathtaking. The location is a little remote, but the food and drinks on property were spot on!
