The service and culinary execution also fell short of expectations for several reasons: • Service & Atmosphere: The use of a pressurized wine preservation system at the table was distracting; the audible hiss of the gas during the pour detracted from the dining atmosphere. • Menu Concept: The 24-course tasting menu felt over-engineered. The experience would likely benefit from a significant reduction in the number of courses to allow for a sharper focus on ingredient quality and cohesive flavoring. Many dishes were overly complex without a clear culinary narrative. • Main Course: The choice of pork as the primary protein was underwhelming, particularly as the cut served was excessively fatty. • Value Proposition: The "Premium" wine pairing, priced at €175, did not offer a selection that justified the cost. While the technical execution of the cooking was generally sound, the lack of standout flavors and the disjointed nature of the menu make it difficult to recommend this as a high-value fine dining destination

27/04/2026: We loved our dining experience here. The creativity and intention behind every dish, decor, even down to the dish ware and cutlery - all highlighted regional Irish food and makers. Our server was amazing at giving us the lay of the land at the start of the meal. The chefs brought out each dish to explain in great detail what we were about to enjoy. A treat all around to experience this taste of Ireland and Irish culture. Best beet dish I have ever had. Venison tartare was absolutely stunning. Pork and fish main courses were top notch.

21/05/2026: Beautiful pub tucked away off the street with a nice relaxed atmostphere and comfy seating. Had a delicious dinner, food cooked to perfection in lovely portions at a reasonable price, and a nice selection of drinks. Very pleasant manager and a really lovely young barman who was very kind to us when we didn't realise the closing time and stayed a tad late, a credit to himself and the pub - we hope to be back, but in a more time aware manner next time!

17/05/2026: Had a craic of a time at the Gingerman. We stopped for a local Irish fare at a pub and we are so glad we did. The place is so amazing, the staff was awesome. Be aware the portions are large lol

10/05/2026: Had lunch in Copper Grove today Sunday having booked it last night. I specifically requested a table for two in the bar . On arrival a "manager"( not Donal or the othe lovely gentleman who has been there since it opened ) hadn't seen before pointed to a table on the righthand side of the entrance.Every few mins when door opened a cold draught reached our table . I was really cold waiting for our food. When I pointed this out to this gentleman he offered us a table in the function room even though there were a number of empty tables in the bar. I've always booked the bar as it is much cosier and my husband likes to watch the sport on the television. Arrogance is not a word I use freely but he appears to be practised in it. P.S. A lovely pleasant young lady served us and I'm sorry I did not leave a tip as I always do. Just so annoyed.

The table was decorated with balloons and Emilia was given a gift and card as she sat down, lovely touches and made her day ❤️ Special mention to Stacey who looked after us so well! The food was gorgeous and we all left with full bellies and delighted with a lovely afternoon

05/05/2026: Good value, good service. Not a fan of their boiled/roasted veg, but I’d probably be in a minority of their clients. Good place for Sunday lunch and an even better place for an early evening meal weekdays.

01/06/2026: Just WOW! This was a beautifully surprising experience start to finish. I was fortunate to get in for a booking on the same day, though I would definitely recommend prebooking. It is a preset menu, yet I would say the most incredible quality and presentation you could ever hope to get for the price. (This offering was 2 courses for €55, 3 courses for €62). Aoife was delightful through the entirety of the service, beginning with her spot-on recommendations and tastings of wine to select my bottle. The chef's snack started off with an impressive bang- sustainable use of "scraps" made into a delicious mouse, cradled within a parm crisp and served on a bed of smoked pine. Absolutely stunning! I'll honestly be thinking about this bite for a long while. It was followed by one of the most tasty bread courses I've ever had--honey rosemary bread (I've got to figure out how to recreate at home) with salted Irish butter, olive oil and an elderberry balsamic vinegar. I could've honestly only eaten that and still been happy! Next was a cheese souffle with leek fondue which was decadent and flavorful. My main course was a 12 hour cooked featherblade of Irish beef that didn't even require a knife. The unexpected toppings of black garlic, maple bacon and BBQ crisps were creative and deliciously unique. The sides were of generous portions- a potato mash with greens, fresh mixed veg and braised carrots and an impressive stacked and fried potato. The palate cleanser of a raspberry and lemon lolli-popcicle was a delightfully refreshing treat to finish it off. I took my dessert to-go of a dense, dark chocolate cake with raspberry. Gorgeous meal, I honestly had so much to take away after (including half the bottle of wine I didn't finish). Aoife was sweet enough as well to send me with recommendations for my visit and I expect her suggestions will be spot on. Overall, I consider this a tremendous value for the quality, experience and service and I would be thrilled to return! Thank you!

02/05/2026: What a treat! Had a last minute.com decision to go out on a Saturday evening. Decided to try The Dew Drop in Kill for early evening meal - booked a table x2 @ 5.15 which was only slot available until 8.30pm. A very engaging pleasant hostess showed us to our table at the very back of the restaurant, lovely quiet but atmospheric area, beautifully decorated and away from the 'buzz' of the front area of the restaurant. Our waitress was very helpful, smiling away doing her job and was very professional and attentive without being "too much". Wonderful experience from service perspective. Menu had great variety. The food did not disappoint! Beautifully presented and flavours were tantalising! We never felt rushed... leisurely finished our meal with a shared desert and well made Irish Coffee. Definitely will be back. Service was top class... something I put huge value on these days. So "Well Done" Dew Drop! You are nailing it! 😉

27/04/2026: We attended a recent family special event.... I can't say enough good things about this establishment... Great service.. great food.. great selection... Even samples of their beer selections... As for the waiting staff & especially the Gentleman that offered my Daughter her an option with her car issues.. they are all outstanding on many levels.... WELL DONE ALL

13/06/2026: What a wonderful surprise. Saw you pancake house and said yes! So glad we did. We got there close to the kitchen closing and they were welcoming and made us two superb dishes. Highly recommend stop in.

Amazing concierge service, rooms, location, room service, breakfast, etc. We had a great time here and it was the perfect location for us to walk all of Limerick and learn the city. We loved our room and housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping it clean during our stay. We didn’t want to leave!

14/05/2026: As a welcome, we received warm service and genuine smiles, accompanied by a carafe of water with an orange slice, Guinness and whole-wheat bread with seeds, and salted butter. Then, our lunch began with a sweet Chardonnay to pair with a seafood platter, bursts of flavor that lingered on the palate. A small, crisp salad, perfectly balanced in flavor, capers with tender smoked salmon that delighted my taste buds, and truly delicious dried mackerel, all finished with a squeeze of lemon—I highly recommend it! Special mention for the Roche oyster; it's a shame there was only one. I was less impressed with the shrimp, which were blander than everything else. To finish, I savored a perfectly crisp crème brûlée (the inside was a little "cold," but I'm nitpicking) and a very good cappuccino. My stay got off to a wonderful start.
