01/08/2025: Ordered a burger and had to dismantle it and chop up the onions and tomatoes myself a put the burger back together, the chips had far too much rosemary on them it even over powered the burger taste, my partner got chilli beef cheese fries and they were far to over seasoned (why??) and everything basically tasted of rosemary, rosemary should be just left to grow in the garden or kitchen window, the table beside us was cleared but not wiped down and we had someone's left over burger bun under our table it was crusty so was there a while, I let staff know about all this and they didn't even offer a discount or can of coke on the house, overall was very big let down by this spot supposed best burgers in Wexford n by far one of the worst iv had in a long while, definitely not worth the €24

02/08/2025: Nos hablaron de DAN Lowery sirve un gran Guinness, y no nos decepcionó. Un caballero de la tienda de ropa Saville Men’s recomendó esta taberna como un lugar donde siempre lleva a su madre cuando está en Cork. El barman era un propietario perfecto, tuvimos una gran charla después del Lyon v Australia Rugby y recomiendo encarecidamente esta taberna como un buen sabor de Cork. Gracias por hacer que mi esposa y yo nos sintamos tan bienvenidos e incluidos.

09/08/2025: Very tasty dinner. I ordered fish with shrimps, in sauce and with potatoes. Excellent choice! I recommend visiting this restaurant. The robot that brings food amused us 😅

09/08/2025: Had food for a large family gathering. Food was well presented and tasty. Service could have been better. Waiter was quite rude and didn't seem interested in our custom.

13/08/2025: Stunning lunch at La Maison. The French onion soup was spectacular, as was everything else. Lovely wine, friendly, warm & professional staff. Thank you for your hospitality!

09/08/2025: La Maison was exactly what we wanted out of a French bistro in Dublin. Right in the heart of town we started our visit with a pint at Grogan’s where they had live music outside. Once we made it over to la maison we were 15 minutes early to our reservation we made an hour prior and they sat us immediately. Good music and intimate inside seating was a perfect way to hide away from the busy streets of Dublin. We got the halibut, gnocci, French onion soup, and fries. Also got an espresso martini and Sauvignon Blanc. Everything was delicious and some of the best food we have had on our trip so far. Only thing that could be improved was the wait for the check and no check in to determine if we wanted another drink. Would definitely recommend!

22/08/2025: Absolutely loved our dinner at Kirwan’s. Just off the busy main road, this gem of a restaurant offers some wonderful seafood dishes. We had oysters, hake and seabass. What really stood out for us though is the service! All waiters and waitresses were incredibly attentive and kind. Though we didn’t book they made an effort to find space for us. I’d hightly recommend this restaurant.

21/08/2025: The service was great, beer, wine- awesome. But chowder with some strange stuff inside, like the thickener(can be wrong), and the risotto its just like an oatmeal, not the original italian risotto. But tasty. So overall 3 from 5.

06/07/2025: I had the fish & chips special, which was delicious, along with a glass of cava. The two went great together. Also tried a mango / passion fruit tart, which was amazing! The place is cozy and the service is great. Had a lovely time!

04/07/2025: I saw the summer special for fish and chips and a glass of cava for €26 and decided to try it. The service from when we got there was great. We placed our order and the food was out in under 10 minutes. 2 cods were on the plate but I’d say the star of the dish was the tartar sauce never had anything like it and the fish was super crispy. 10/10 would recommend and the cava pairing worked really well!

03/08/2025: The food here is outstanding. They clearly use high quality fresh, local ingredients. It’s always packed in the evenings so a reservation is essential. My only complaint is they removed the fish & chips from their menu and it was honestly the best I’d tried in Ireland.

30/07/2025: We had amazing food excellent local fish and a beautiful local beef casserole in the ba/ restaurant m. This place had a great vibe and really friendly stuff. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Westport and an added bonus, they are dog friendly. #Dogfriendly #Westport #TheHelmWestport

12/08/2025: We had no booking but they took our number and got us in very quickly, just enough time for a pint across the road. It was busy and fun with a great mix of locals and travellers. Food was excellent from the baked bree to the local lobster.

02/08/2025: Excellent in every way. Its not that big so be there early or book (2h before). They're very helpful and accommodating allergies. Highly recommend. We ll be back again for sure

11/08/2025: We went there twice. The first time was on a Friday evening and the second time on a Sunday. The food was delicious both times, although the cheesecake wasn't the best choice. The service was fantastic on Friday. However, on Sunday it was apparently very busy, which was clearly noticeable to the staff.

10/08/2025: 20 years after my first visit: Food‘s still fantastic. The sticky toffee cake is a must. Great place!

06/08/2025: Everything was delicious especially enjoyed the fig tempura and confit tomatoes. Staff were lovely and accommodating

04/08/2025: We were a group of 3 and had an amazing dinner! One of our party was late and the staff were nothing but accommodating. The food was amazing as was service.

22/08/2025: - it was slow, we waited 30 minutes for our food even though they were the specialty ++/- it was good and filling, though the toasts served with the soup were fridge cold 😕 -- I'm used to tip for the quality, but apparently in that restaurant the service is not included, so the waitress ask you for more (damn, that's not the US here 😠). That was not appreciated.

16/08/2025: We found it by chance and it motivated us to go in... it did not disappoint, very friendly service (including several Spaniards), abundant and very tasty dishes, the mussels were delicious and the fish & chips too, the fish was perhaps a bit dry for my taste but the batter was very good.

19/08/2025: En general una buena experiencia. No es una poutine tradicional canadiense, ya que tiene Szechuan, tocino confitado, pollo, etc. Sigue siendo un plato sabroso.

24/08/2025: Went for dinner last weekend with my family. Our first time there and will definitely make the journey from Cork again to visit. The blade of beef was top notch and same goes for the service. The front of house manager looked after us so well, she was on the ball. Thanks folks, see you soon
