06/10/2025: Overpriced and Underwhelming. What a disappointment. After so many good reviews and a recommendation from a friend, we were expecting something better. We started with the seafood chowder, which was over reliant on thickeners that it is was almost pasty* . Rather than order off their standard menu, where most of the fish and seafood was breaded and fried, we opted for the daily specials. Our sea bass was perfectly cooked, served with it's slightly crisp skin-side up, only to be accompanied by an overly sweet sauce, and melange of vegetables that buried the taste of the actual fish. A cod with crab topping was presented on top a bed of mashed potatoes. The result was a mound of bland, white food, lacking in flavor and variety of texture. Had the cod been lightly pan fried on one side for a little crunch, it might have been better. The main courses filled half of their serving plate, the other half of the plate was "garnished" with balsamic drizzle so popular in the 1990's. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere welcoming and clean. It's never fun to post a bad review, just as it's never fun to dine out and not enjoy the food. At this price point, our expectations are higher. * We really do serve excellent soups here in Ireland, including many a pub with beautiful seafood chowders that have the perfect balance between hearty and delicate.

28/09/2025: The Strawberry Field restaurant made an extremely pleasant impression on me. This is a place where you want to return again and again. The food here is not just delicious - it is prepared with soul and love for detail. Each dish has its own unique taste, which pleasantly surprises, and the portions are quite generous. The service is at a high level - the staff is always friendly, attentive and ready to help with the choice of dishes or drinks. The atmosphere of the restaurant creates a feeling of home comfort, but at the same time this place has a special style and character. It is ideal for both a quiet lunch with family and for meetings with friends. The good price-quality ratio makes this restaurant even more attractive. I believe that The Strawberry Field is one of the best places in the area where you can get real pleasure from food, service and atmosphere. I definitely recommend visiting!

11/10/2025: A recent visit for a Family members birthday. Start to finish- from booking the table, to the welcome in, to the menu, the wonderful staff absolutely outstanding and of course the delicious food. Everything about it made the night very special. All I can say is “A Million Thank yous” to one and all. Don’t change what you do you have something very special.

04/10/2025: Wonderful French restaurant! The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive. I had the Halibut, my wife had the Duck, and we shared the Pot de Chocolate for dessert. Wonderful meal! Definitely recommend.

17/09/2025: This restaurant should be renamed to La Delicious! A taste of the French countryside in downtown Dublin. It brought a warm touch to a cold night and had the perfect atmosphere. The food was fresh and the wines were aromatic and touched the soul like an old friend returning from years abroad. I highly recommend!

28/09/2025: The food itself was tasty and service was quick, but my experience was spoiled by undercooked fish and chips. The cod came out cold inside with raw batter still clinging to it not just unappetizing, but unsafe. It completely ruined my meal. I wasn’t after a refund, just hoping the kitchen pays more attention, because no restaurant should serve fish in that condition.

09/10/2025: Dockyard is 10/10. Food always knocks it out of the park. Veg burger, cauliflower/blue cheese soup, great menu, top staff. Now a weekly stop off

24/09/2025: The food is fine, typical Irish: burgers, salads, soup, and little else. The place is nice, especially the terrace. The only thing is that the benches are sloping and you keep slipping. You can't really eat in peace because you have to be careful not to fall. The water was a little warm and tasted strange; maybe they should look into that. The service was very good, and the atmosphere on the terrace was very conducive to conversation, even though it was quite noisy.
