05/05/2025: The ambience was great, the food fantastic. No waiting, our table was ready for our reservation time. The service was A1. There were 6 of us, and we all agreed we would return in the future! Highly recommend. Good value for money.

31/05/2025: Nach den vielen positiven Bewertungen haben wir einiges erwartet, wurden jedoch enttäuscht, schlecht war es nicht, aber für den Preis kann man schon einiges erwarten. Das Restaurant ist echt gemütlich, der Service freundlich. Jedoch kommt das Essen da nicht mit, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht. Mein Fish-Pie war sehr überschaubar, ich hatte danach noch Hunger. Die Fish and Chips waren bei dem Fisch sehr fettig, die Panade war echt viel zu fettig. Nebenan gibt es auch ein Fischlokal und das ist viel viel besser, also lieber nach nebenan gehen.

30/05/2025: While traveling through Ireland we toured Donegal. We called for reservations and then needed to change nights, which they did with no problems. Three of us had small plates which were tasty and ample portions for sharing. Our other friend had a pasta dish and thought it was very good. We all ordered dessert and the staff served mine and my husband's with a sparkling candle for our anniversary. That was truly special, thank you to the staff! The view is lovely and servers attentative without being too much. If in Donegal don't miss this place, it's a great place for dinner.

27/04/2025: Exceptional food and the staff were very friendly.There were 4 courses priced at 60e pp and a nice choice of 4 dishes per course. My wife and I enjoyed our choices and we found the portions to be just the right amount in size.We both really enjoyed the atmosphere friendly service and as for the food we were served it was simply amazing ,excellent all round and this was our first visit to The Cottage .I would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning at some point in the near future.

03/05/2025: Exquisite experience, delicious dinner and delightful homemade desserts. A nice change from the typical pubs in the area. You should definitely stop here when in donegal. Their music playlist was also very nice!

02/05/2025: I was looking for a vegetarian version of a shepherds pie and I found Sheehan’s Vegetarian Cottage Pie. It was fantastic. The dish is made with lentils and varying vegetables with mashed potatoes on top. The portion sizing was perfect for me and the peas that came with the pie were full of flavor. I highly recommend.

11/05/2025: What a lucky find for us. Great accommodation in a room with such an amazing view. A few gins in the beer garden on a lovely sunny Saturday. Followed by the best dinner I've had in a long time. I was there for the sea food...the crab toes starter and mussels main course where devine. But I must say, the menu choice would appeal to all. Breakfast was pre-order, which meant it was ready for us. Suited me. All staff where beyond friendly and made our visit like home from home. We'll be back. You do our wonderful county proud.

24/05/2025: Had a retirement evening tonight at this truly fabulous restaurant!! What a superb meal,the food ,the service,the staff, Richard the manager and his staff were absolutely fantastic!!! Love the menu here,so fresh and delicious,great portions too,thanks again,will be back!!!

15/05/2025: We went here for our anniversary dinner, it was delicious we had a great experience. The cocktails were next level exquisite, i was driving and they accommodated my no alcohol request perfectly. All the cocktails are made to request as I was able to order any of the cocktails as mocktails. I ordered the pornstar martini and they even served me a shot of lemonade! My partner enjoyed normal cocktails and reported they were amazing. For dinner I ordered the sundries tomato cannelloni which wasn’t my favourite but still nice. My partner ordered the salmon which was cooked perfectly. We ordered a side of mashed potatoes which were creamy and delicious. Desert was equally delicious and the staff surprised us with a candle for our anniversary. Overall it was well worth the price.

08/05/2025: Everyone must visit this pub that sends you back more than 100 years. You are seated in snug booths with high walls so that conversation is encouraged and private. Great food, especially the fish chowder!

06/05/2025: We stayed at Hargadon for two evenings. Great very own authentic pub with good and slightly better pub food. One of Sligo's oldest pubs. Great service. Food was okay. Unfortunately the seafood chauder was a bit tasteless. Otherwise everything was fine. Price wise okay. Guinness was good!

06/05/2025: We had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately the food and the atmosphere leave a lot to be desired. The food (we ordered fish and chicken) tastes like something you can expect to be fed on the airplane, and the omnipresent AC units and cheaply decorated walls spoil any hope of charm. Overall - a tourist trap. Don’t be us and put more effort in finding a good restaurant.

11/05/2025: Muy bonito pub y restaurante. Acogedor. La cena y las bebidas eran geniales! El servicio era muy bueno. Mi marido tenía el guiso Guinness, y yo las alitas de pollo con salsa de queso azul. ¡Ambos deliciosos! Si está en la zona, le recomendamos encarecidamente probar.

06/05/2025: Not the best pub I've been to on Camden Street. Despite the good selection of beers, we were kicked out more than an hour before closing time for no reason.
