14/08/2025: The welcome at this restaurant is lively and energetic, and the food is plentiful and good value. We had moules marinière, lamb in sauce, and pasta with mushrooms, broccoli, and cream. The atmosphere is that of an Irish pub.

22/08/2025: We had the best time at this castle. We only stayed a night as we were just passing through and it was a true highlight of the trip. The service was incredible, especially the lovely bartenders. Food was very good, room was comfortable and welcome night was so fun!

10/08/2025: There are not enough stars in the universe to come close to reflecting the absolutly amazing experience at The Cottage. From the moment myself and my friend entered the building we were greeted like old friends and made feel welcome , relaxed and attended to. The customer service is out of the world and the owners and staff are so courteous and obliging. My friend had a few dietary restrictions which were not a problem as they were seamlessly catered for. The 3 course lunch menu is a bargain at €40 a head, it's not just food for that price it's a gastronomical and dining experience with a great selection. Fresh and tasty food was served with warmth and care. The dessert trolly was the cherry on the cake, the whole process of that is a huge selling point. I had cheesecake and a selection of cheeses with crackers and grapes. While my friend could sample all the gluten free options. We both travelled almost two hours to get there, meeting half way and we would go another two hours again. Thank you so much to all at The Cottage, I'll be talking about this lunch for a while to come ✌️💚🌞

16/08/2025: The hotel is located in the embassy district, away from the hustle and bustle, but still close to the city center. The rooms are spacious and clean. Our bathroom only had a shower, although all the others we could see from the hallway during cleaning had bathtubs. One star deducted for the pathetic takeaway breakfast we requested during a day trip. I felt it was too little for the money, as it only included two pieces of fruit and a muffin.

14/08/2025: We were contemplating to stay more central location or Herbert Park Hotel till the last moment, and were glad with our final decision. It is a bit away from the downtown, yet maybe due to the distance, quiet and peaceful. We walked to the downtown, which took less than 30 min. There is a nice beach nearby and was perfect for my morning run. Also, there was a farmer's market at the park on Sundays! The room was spacious, so as the bathroom. I liked the nice deep bathtub. We stayed mostly at B&Bs during our trip to Ireland. Luckily it was not too hot, yet when we were back to Dublin, A/C in the room was a nice addition.

16/08/2025: We went on a team night out and the place and atmosphere of this place is class. It might look very small at the outside but very big on the inside.Their servers was very approachable and accommodating as well. Food was ok for me. I would say my expectations were a little bit not met. For a 30-40 euro steak, I would have expected that the steak is at least seasoned which was not. The sharing platter as well was a little bit small for me. I expected at least a couple of meats and more cheese on a meat and cheese board but as you can see on the picture that’s their sharing board and you can see on the menu how much that is. My teammates enjoyed their veggie board and they were delighted with the taste. Their desert was great as well. Overall still a good experience. Just get your wallets ready as food can be pricey.

15/08/2025: Paid €89 for what was basically chipper food you could get next door. Burgers came with “crispy bacon” that was just rasher fat, salad full of onion cores and wilted leaves, frozen chips, and €12 chicken satay that was just a fillet cut into five pieces with some sauce. The pasta was watery and bleak, bulked out with carrot tops, while flies crawled up the windows. Staff even nipped to Centra mid-service to buy cranberry sauce. Please avoid. I never ever write reviews but i owe it to you to write this one 😂 far better options in town

10/08/2025: We had a delicious meal here during our stopover in Lahinch. The staff is very friendly and service-oriented, and the food is fresh and delicious. The fish and chips are highly recommended.

18/08/2025: Had a meal here on 16/8/25 and it was delicious....the only downside is the back breaking wooden seats against the wall inside....it's simply impossible to sit comfortable and takes away the enjoyment of the meal...something definitely needs to be done about that....

16/08/2025: Food always so consistently delicious anytime I go to the rustic inn. Warm tasty food. Comfortable bar. Nice pleasant atmosphere. Friendly waitress. Highly recommend as it never disappoints.
