The Old Ship in Arklow

The Old Ship is a gem located in Arklow. The food is consistently good as is the service and overall ambience. The staff are extremely attentive, pleasant and cannot do enough to ensure your dining experience is warm and welcoming. The food is amazing and presented with a creative flair. If you have room for dessert, the apple pie is out of this world and it comes with its own" gravy boat" of homemade custard. Hats off to the pastry chef for that creation😘 One of my favorite places to eat in the beautiful county of Wicklow.

Stopped here on our drive from Dublin to Kilmore Quay. We were there around 3, and it wasn't terribly busy. Service was fantastic! They were very kind and attentive. I ordered the BLT & it was good, my friend ordered the Turkey sandwich with stuffing and it was really good. Overall, was a great place to stop for a quick lunch.

Really loved my time here. There were a few flies flying around though, can’t help it with the open windows in the summer. “The old ship fish board”- seemed a little intimidating with all the different food options on it, but it wasn’t too large a portion and was able to eat it all. Yummy. Great service. It wasn’t too busy. I found the price great for the amount of food and drinks we consumed. For the parking, on weekends and after 6pm it is free. Turn into the street just before seeing the restaurant, across from that street is a blue building, when you turn in, drive all the way to the river. There is parking behind the buildings and by the river. Thank you

pub grub with a nice easy going vibe - recommend the seafood - mussels were really good - staff were a little busy at times but not too bad overall

Nicest staff, great pint (served in proper Old style Guinness glasses) great pub food - the Sunday roast beef is another level. Advising booking on weekends but we’ve always been accommodated regardless! Kid friendly too.

On our travels and took a punt to stop and have Sunday lunch at this place. So glad we did. Food, atmosphere and especially the staff were all amazing. So friendly and welcoming. Anyone visiting Arklow must stop in at The Old Ship Inn. What a gem of a place.

Great place to eat! The food was wonderful, and the service was very friendly.

We didn’t have high expectations, but it’s been brilliant. Generous portions and really tasty. Hats off to the chef
