26/07/2026: Delicious food, great service and a lovely ambiance! I felt like i was on holidays. Would highly recommend.

22/07/2026: Hard to believe we have such a delicious Italian restaurant right here in Arklow.. but it's REAL!! The best Italian food that I would rate alongside the best food I've had in Italy.. today we had Ravioli with mozzarella & delicious tomato sauce and a caprese salad (best ever!) followed by the best blueberry lemon cake ever & a cute Italian bun I can't remember the name of! Alongside the best service.. I'm so grateful we have this gem in Arklow, with seats out by the river too 💜 Xxx Ps- the laughing ducks provide a lil extra entertainment if you're lucky!

05/07/2026: Nicest staff, great pint (served in proper Old style Guinness glasses) great pub food - the Sunday roast beef is another level. Advising booking on weekends but we’ve always been accommodated regardless! Kid friendly too.

28/06/2026: On our travels and took a punt to stop and have Sunday lunch at this place. So glad we did. Food, atmosphere and especially the staff were all amazing. So friendly and welcoming. Anyone visiting Arklow must stop in at The Old Ship Inn. What a gem of a place.

10/07/2026: When I arrived at this establishment, I was extremely disappointed to not be met with any rocket-powered spacecraft. I was hoping to gain easy access to a method of transportation, but this was not even close to what I expected. However, the substances provided were... satisfactory. I suggest you serve some delicacies from Planet Zorb.

24/06/2026: Disappointed that this is the third time I’ve visited this Eddie Rockets to find out they’re either unexpectedly closed or not taking customers. We have been refused service due to what I could only assume is understaffing due to it being “too busy” yet many tables and booths seemed to be free. We have been previously disappointed by the abrupt change in closing times, which I find unusual to say the least - I feel that closing at 7PM every day other than Fridays and Saturdays makes no sense. Especially with the lack of food establishments in Arklow. Since Eddie Rockets changed their closing times, there are really no places to sit down and eat a substantial meal on this side of the town in the evenings. Now we have been refused service due to “electrical problems”, while other customers eat inside, music is playing and lights are on. I suspect this is due to another understaffing issue as I only was able to see one young girl working. It’s disappointing to say the least, as someone who generally enjoys visiting Eddie Rockets, I would visit more often if these problems didn’t arise and leave us hungry and searching for a new spot to eat (of which there are none, unless you fancy a sandwich for dinner from Starbucks or Dunnes). I also have had issues with their lack of acceptance of One4All gift cards. The One4All website states that Eddie Rocket accepts their gift cards, however while attempting to pay with this in the past, their card machine would not accept either of my two gift cards leaving me to pay out of my pocket. My One4All cards then worked at other establishments, so I am sure that they had the correct balance and enough to pay. Every time I’ve visited, the food has been tasty, the service quick and the staff have been polite with good service, so it is a shame to see it being let down by disorganised management. I hope to see positive changes in the future.

16/07/2026: Fantastic golf course! An old, authentic Links course since 1927!! This course is very reasonably priced! The staff is super friendly and helpful, highly recommended. Oh yes, the food in the clubhouse is great!

29/04/2026: Afternoon tea at the vintage tea rooms in Arklow yesterday. What a great way to spend a few hours. We got to dress up in the most fabulous dresses, with gloves, hats and all kinds of wonderful accessories. Plenty of time for photos Then sat down to tea, served in china cups, with delicate sandwiches, scones and mouthwatering cakes. No rush to move us on. Staff were friendly and service was excellent Well worth a trip

14/07/2026: Really fab experience 💛 I had my Mum who is not completely mobile at the moment with me & rang up to ask if they could keep me a table for Saturday lunchtime, knowing it probably be v busy. They were happy to & really looked after her, both of us so well. Delicious food (eggs Benedict with the mustard sauce is chefs kiss 🤌🏻 I asked for mine with avocado instead of panchetta.. heads up: the guacamole has chilli in it.. seems chilli is loved here so do specify if you don't want any!). The Rhubarb cheesecake was divine & enough to share ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Neither of us are fans of chilli in any form (make sure you let them know!) & they took her plate back to give her new eggs when she was reluctant about the chilli salt on them. I can't believe their baker makes all of those cakes fresh daily! I'd love this place to be open later as I'm not into pubs & there are not really any other options in Arklow, but I'm so grateful for LoCo either way! Thanks to all the staff! Xxx

25/11/2025: I was looking forward to eating here as it is a halal restaurant and not your usual fast food/kebab place. It was busy when we arrived, plus it's a small restaurant, so unfortunately we couldn't sit inside and instead decided to do a takeaway & eat in our hotel room. I ordered the "Crispy sticky duck and ramen stir fry" thinking it did not have any sesame seeds or egg in it as they were not listed as allergens in the brackets. We came back to the room, opened our food boxes and there were sesame seeds and fried egg with the noodles. :( I know I should've asked before ordering, so I do admit it was my fault too. I'm just writing about this here not to complain, but so that other people with similar allergies/intolerances are made aware. Thankfully, my friend had ordered a dish that I could eat and so we just swapped our meals, and it was very nice (Ayam Halia). If I'm ever visiting the area again, I would still be interested in trying some of their other dishes.

10/07/2026: This place is great. Huge menu with vegetarian and celiac choices on the menu. Im a tourist from western Canada and I love fish and chips, but our choices back home are limited. Consequently whenever I come here or the UK I eat it way more than I should. So far on this trip, I've had it 6 times. This place, hands down is by far the best I have had in Ireland. I was so excited by the looks of it, thay I ate half before I thought of taking a picture. Friendly and helpful staff on top of it. My wife has some food allergies and they were super helpful and attentive. 5 out of 5 all the way around.

14/06/2026: My new favourite, super fresh and tasty. Love that you can pick spice level for many dishes - ordered medium and they nailed it. Tried several veggie dishes and will be back for more. Bravo! Definetely want more.

11/07/2026: Loved the atmosphere. I’ve been on 2 occasions, once for coffee and gluten free cake which was amazing, second for breakfast. The outdoors seating was delightful and the staff are amazing. Very helpful. The only thing is that the gluten free bread is a little tasteless. As a coeliac living in Ireland however this seems to be the norm amongst restaurants offering gluten free bread. I loved all else. Will return again and again. Thank you 🙏🏻
