The best restaurants in Arklow

19/09/2026: We popped in for a delicious early morning coffee and pastry today (so great to have a cafe that caters for early risers in Arklow!) and were welcomed by the friendly owners who clearly put a lot of love and care into all the food they prepare. We will definitely be back and look forward to sampling more from the menu 😊

17/09/2026: A fantastic and charming bistro, the food is exclusively Italian, all cooked on-site, fresh, and delicious. The owners are a Polish woman and an Italian man, a delightful couple. 🤗 We had a light lunch, including a tomato cream soup called "POETRY OF TASTE" 👍. And finally, of course, coffee, and that was a masterful espresso. We highly recommend this charming place and can only give it 5 stars 👍

26/08/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and it was a very pleasant surprise. The staff, especially the owner, were incredibly attentive. We ordered two Irish breakfasts, which were very generous, and a special mention goes to the bread and the white and black pudding, which were absolutely delicious.

07/08/2026: The Old Ship is a gem located in Arklow. The food is consistently good as is the service and overall ambience. The staff are extremely attentive, pleasant and cannot do enough to ensure your dining experience is warm and welcoming. The food is amazing and presented with a creative flair. If you have room for dessert, the apple pie is out of this world and it comes with its own" gravy boat" of homemade custard. Hats off to the pastry chef for that creation😘 One of my favorite places to eat in the beautiful county of Wicklow.

16/08/2026: I've been to a few Asian restaurants in Ireland, but this one really stands out. They serve amazing food!! Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Service is top. Tried a few dishes, everything was amazing. Would defo recommend this place to anyone.

08/09/2026: This is an amazing cafe, very modern, continental and really clean. The location is really relaxing, by the river. Felt like I was on holidays!! Would genuinely say, it’s the nicest cafe I’ve been to in Ireland and I’ve travelled all over and abroad! Their pastries are to so nice and fresh. Really loved the vibes. I will be back for sure. Only thing is I would prefer a dark roast coffee, and I said that but it tasted like a light roast :) well done to all involved

07/09/2026: Recently I went with my sister and I cannot recommend and praise enough. The ladies working there were very kind, sweet and helpful. They asked which colours we would like to wear, chose a dress and some necklaces and hats, and then took many photos of us. They know their stuff! And then we had the tea and sandwiches, pastries and cakes. All very delicious! We asked for a vegetarian option, and an infusion and they delivered. We will definitely come back again! It was 2h of fun and also relax!

28/06/2026: I recently visited Victorian Tea Times in Arklow, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a charming, bygone era with the beautiful décor and warm ambiance. The attention to detail is impeccable — from the delicate china to the vintage furnishings, everything perfectly complements the atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we felt welcome and well taken care of. The tea selection was impressive, and the homemade treats were absolutely delicious. Every bite was a burst of flavor, and you could tell that everything was made with care and love. This is more than just a tea house; it’s an experience that everyone should try at least once. Whether you’re a tea enthusiast or just looking for a unique outing, Victorian Tea Times is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back again! Highly recommended!

06/08/2026: Please do not come here it took 20 minutes for are insanely expensive food it was 40 for 2 small burgers and 2 milkshakes and the food should be used as a torture method as it was horrible and gave us food poisoning. Please trust me and do not go here. Ps

22/09/2026: This cafe has a good reputation locally. It's opening days & hours are pretty limited though, so check before you go there. Food & coffee top class, prices are above average too.Friendly staff & nice outdoor seating area, which was great during the hot weather. The inside space is cramped a bit, so not the place for intimate chats. Some free parking at the back. Beside large public car park too. ( free parking there on Saturday & Sundays) Close at 4pm and not open Mondays, or Tuesdays.

29/05/2026: Lovely hotel, with lovely staff. I would highly recommend this hotel. I had only booked for one night and ended up staying two.

01/08/2026: Downstairs was busy so ended upstairs and there was only two occupied tables. The vibe of the place is old school, the pop music playing did not match the atmosphere. The menu is old and wrecked. The drinks came, wine was off, and Guinness tasted bad. The glasses were dirty. Food came fast, the chips were dry and floury, is arid too harsh? The steak was well done and it's sauce obviously came from a bottle (the type poured over sdws at Spar or Centra) the onions weren't caramelized, black pepper sauce would have been better especially with mushrooms. The ciabatta seemed fresh. The fish was edible. Popcorn chicken was dry. Welcome to 1974.

27/07/2026: We had lunch here and were extremely satisfied. The food was delicious and plentiful. The price was absolutely reasonable for the quality. The service was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
