LoCo Grocer in Arklow

4 of us went for brunch, surprised by how tiny this place is inside & looks like a takeaway only on first impressions but the staff are lovely, recommend acai bowls but the croque monsieur though nice was actually a toastie with nothing melted on the top

Amazing place, it has been a long time that I didn’t enjoy such delicious meal! Staff is really lovely too.

Never thought I’d see the day when Arklow served me something that wasn’t beige and deep-fried, but LOCO Grocer has pulled off the impossible. Their avocado toast? Genuinely delicious. In Arklow terms, that’s basically Michelin-starred. And the chocolate cake… to die for. Which is fitting, because I nearly keeled over from the shock of finding world class cake in Arklow, of all places. If you told me I’d eat something here that didn’t come out of a chip bag or a deli counter, I’d have laughed in your face. So yeah, hats off to LOCO Grocer. Who knew Arklow’s biggest attraction wouldn’t be the road out of it, but a slice of chocolate cake?

Fantastic vegan fare!! Was disappointed when I arrived too late the evening before to the Happy Pear. Ran into Fergus the next day who guided me to his daughters restraunt in Arklow, which exceeded my expectations for high quality, whole food, plant based food! Delish!! And Thanx for shouting me lunch Fergus! Definitely one of the highlights of my 2300 km bike tour around Ireland!

We dined beneath sun umbrellas in Loco Grocer's garden this week and what a treat! I chose the Melt and my daughter had a Coronation Chicken sandwich. Both were inventive and the mix of flavours was delicious. Each person who dealt with us was engaging, friendly and very efficient. We'll definitely be back!
