Consistently fantastic food! We have been coming here since it opened and the food is always delicious, very flavourful and nicely presented. There are great vegetarian/vegan options too. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. This is one place we always look forward to coming back to!

Lovely restaurant on the upper main street in Arklow. The food is fresh and delicious with lots of choice. I had the crispy sticky duck with ramen and I'll definitely be back to try some more of the menu. Highly recommend.

Absolutely excellent experience at Tapau House Restaurant in Arklow. The food was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and tasted genuinely authentic. Every dish we ordered was delicious, the meat was tender, the sauces were rich and well balanced, and the fried rice went perfectly with everything. You can really feel the care and passion behind the cooking. The place has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and it is lovely to see Malaysian food represented so well here in Ireland. A real gem in Arklow and definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended!

Absolutely fabulous food!! Very flavourful and genuinely the best Malaysian food I had in Ireland - tried the tamarind chilli duck, nasi goreng (we asked for nasi goreng kampung) and tomyum and all are wonderful. Do message to make reservation as there are limited tables :)

27/07/2026: We had lunch here and were extremely satisfied. The food was delicious and plentiful. The price was absolutely reasonable for the quality. The service was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
10/07/2026: This place is great. Huge menu with vegetarian and celiac choices on the menu. Im a tourist from western Canada and I love fish and chips, but our choices back home are limited. Consequently whenever I come here or the UK I eat it way more than I should. So far on this trip, I've had it 6 times. This place, hands down is by far the best I have had in Ireland. I was so excited by the looks of it, thay I ate half before I thought of taking a picture. Friendly and helpful staff on top of it. My wife has some food allergies and they were super helpful and attentive. 5 out of 5 all the way around.
