18/10/2026: Amazing quality and always very generous portions. Chips from a Chinese takeaway from my experience are always amazing but these are next level.
Also if ordering alone this restaurant and it's app does not require a minimum order. Every other take away in Arklow is 18 or 19 euro at least (2026) because of the minimum order threshold. If ordering alone you can order something with delivery for 11 or 12 euro without wasting money on extras that will be half eaten just cause you needed to meet a minimum order

01/08/2026: Downstairs was busy so ended upstairs and there was only two occupied tables. The vibe of the place is old school, the pop music playing did not match the atmosphere. The menu is old and wrecked. The drinks came, wine was off, and Guinness tasted bad. The glasses were dirty. Food came fast, the chips were dry and floury, is arid too harsh? The steak was well done and it's sauce obviously came from a bottle (the type poured over sdws at Spar or Centra) the onions weren't caramelized, black pepper sauce would have been better especially with mushrooms. The ciabatta seemed fresh. The fish was edible. Popcorn chicken was dry. Welcome to 1974.

27/05/2026: Very disappointed with the food we got this evening. We got a munchie box, noodles and a 4in1. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked in old oil that was used on fish. It actually turned my stomach. Takeaways are not cheap and we were very irritated at the quality of the food the last two times we have ordered. Will not be ordering from here again.

27/06/2026: Very disappointed with the spicy bag. The portion was extremely small and came in a tiny takeaway box/carton, not even a proper bag. For the same price I pay in other places, I expected a normal-sized spicy bag, but this was nowhere near enough.
It feels unfair to charge the same price while giving such a small portion. The food itself may be okay, but the value for money is very poor. I would not order this again unless they improve the portion size.

01/10/2026: One of the worst spice bags I’ve ever had. Dried out stringy chicken. Most of it ended up in the bin.
21/09/2026: Ordered honey beef ribs.When delivered i couldn't wait to eat. On opening the container the smell of burnt charred meat was terrible. Even the honey at the bottom of the tray tasted burnt. I called them back and said they were burnt. The young man on the phone offered to send out a new one which I thought was brilliant until I got a call back with a message from the chef to say thats how the honey ribs are.......look, im not just having a moan i know what's burnt and what's not. I have also had plenty honey ribs elswhere and from Eastern Promise before where they are succulent and fine. I refused them to send out a new one because if a chef has to call a customer back to say thats how they come (burnt) then I don't want you to send me another order. Your own people would not be happy with that meal. Rainbow Garden it shall be from now on.

06/06/2026: Was asked to pay an extra €4 for delivery after already paying at checkout. We were also made to meet the delivery driver as he wouldn’t come up to the house to complete the delivery. Meaning we drove to collect our “delivery” order which we paid €8 for it to be delivered. The food was extremely poor quality, it was cold on arrival, and we waited over an hour for it to be delivered (including our drive to meet the delivery man). DO NOT ORER FROM HERE

22/03/2025: Absolutely disgusting food the BBQ ribs weren't burnt very little meant on them they tried to cover it with sauce. I asked for a chicken chow mein and got chicken fried rice. and when rang to complain got a very rude person on the phone and the only thing they offered was prawn crackers will never be going there again and will advising people to stay clear off the place. Very rude staff and owner
