The Old House in Arklow

This place is great. Huge menu with vegetarian and celiac choices on the menu. Im a tourist from western Canada and I love fish and chips, but our choices back home are limited. Consequently whenever I come here or the UK I eat it way more than I should. So far on this trip, I've had it 6 times. This place, hands down is by far the best I have had in Ireland. I was so excited by the looks of it, thay I ate half before I thought of taking a picture. Friendly and helpful staff on top of it. My wife has some food allergies and they were super helpful and attentive. 5 out of 5 all the way around.

Food is always lovely, staff are friendly and efficient

We ate here two nights in a row on a recent stay in Arklow and thoroughly enjoyed both. The menu is extensive and varied and would cater for most. We had starters, mains and a dessert and all were tasty, well presented, good sized portions and starters/mains were piping hot! The staff were lovely and the whole atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. Everything was also reasonably priced, especially given today's prices and the portion sizes we got - would definitely recommend!

Nice spot been here once had the roast beef with all the trimmings and a big rack of ribs and chips couldn't fault either of the meals to be fair. Pub grub buy enjoyable pub grub. Nice pub only downside found it quite chilly in there. Good menu to choose from.

Nice place good vibes very clean both outside and inside, food service was good, food portions was very large though alot of food was wasted, I know people have different appetites but it was a bit too much, food was nice nonetheless
