09/09/2024: Walked from Mannix Point campsite for mid afternoon Sunday lunch. We found the atmosphere, cleanliness and staff all excellent. Food was quick to arrive and plentiful. We then walked another 10 mins into the town. Wouldn’t hesitate to use the hotel again. Well done.

12/11/2024: Visited November 2024. This place is fantastic! Food, service and atmosphere were terrific. They use mostly local ingredients and decor. The "Irish cocktail" pairing was different than most Michelin pairings and very good. They gave me a signed cookbook at the end of the night.

30/10/2024: Magic is real, and JP McMahon is a sorcerer. He created things we still can't wrap our heads around. Things that melt in your mouth or look like something else entirely. Aniar serves art shrouded in love. You can taste how much the chef loves his country and tries to show appreciation to all the beauty Ireland has to offer. The restaurant is unassuming from the outside, but the inside is captivating, showcasing elements of the ingredients being used. His staff is kind, welcoming, and absolutely charming. They really made our night even more special. Experiencing Aniar was a marvel that will stay with me, in my heart, forever. It encapsulates everything Ireland is and more. The kindness, the stories, the enthusiasm to share culture. We are so very grateful to have been a part of it. Thank you, Team Aniar. We are touched.

06/11/2024: We were a party of 10 booked for my sons 21st Birthday. From the outset we were looked after superbly. Our waiter Jack was outstanding, excellent service with great banter throughout! The menu is extensive with choices to suit every palate...good quality food simply done well. Everyone's meal was lovely, fab range of wines, cocktails & full bar. With such a warm welcoming atmosphere, it's a venue we'll be returning to. Thank you for making our occasion even more special.

03/11/2024: Great seafood just out the centre of Galway! We had the seafood chowder, mussels, hooked fish tacos and chips! All were excellent and very fresh. Personal fav was the seafood chowder. Also very good value for money! Can't book a table for 2 but we only had to wait 15 mins on a Saturday eve

01/11/2024: The starter tacos are very good and tasty, while the main courses we ordered were quite disappointing, to say the least (seafood risotto and fish pie). They lacked flavor, salt, and spices. I would cook better myself, but, alas, we are traveling.

07/10/2024: Irish style authentic experience - great food, cozy atmosphere and excellent companion! Special touch as we had to celebrate something ;-) Irish = not only pubs!

29/09/2024: This was our first meal after arriving in Dublin and it really didn’t disappoint. We had the set game menu and everything was so fresh and delicious I could have eaten everything twice. Staff were all very accommodating and friendly, couldn’t fault them. The venue felt really buzzy but intimate at the same time and it was just a really nice time. The starter and the cheese in particular stand out (we had to ask where the cheese was from in an attempt to find it for ourselves in Dublin!)

29/10/2024: My partner and I attended a wedding here the October Bank Hol. Quirky country estate, beautiful old buildings in beautiful.surroundings.Food was fantastic and staff were equally as fantastic, from initial welcome until we left, they could not do enough for us.

04/11/2024: A lovely pub that does very good food. Mussels and scampi particularly nice, while my husband also enjoyed the wings and the fish and chips. Staff very helpful. A great shout after a big walk

01/11/2024: Very busy but the food was excellent. 2 of us shared 3 starters, chowder, mussels and calamari. Calamari portion could have been a little bigger, but all 3 starters tasted great. Nice atmosphere in the pub and for a weekday, it was busy. Pub is in a lovely location in the heart ♥ of connemara with loads of wonderful places nearby to visit eg kylemore Abbey, Cleggan Harbour, omey Island, inagh valley and clifden 14kms away. Also diamond Hill a d connemara national park.

02/11/2024: A total rip off… my friend and I shared a cheese and meat sharing platter. 4 slices of very thin salami, 3 pieces of cheese, 2 chicken balls and 1 piece of black pudding sliced in 2… hard bread and not great crackers. €22… the sauce that was supposed to be there wasn’t. We had to ask for it… they were out of it. Crab starter €17… small, not great. (Say no more) I’m over from London, a tourist the city needs. I can absolutely see why Ireland is not attracting the tourists they need. I will not return

17/10/2024: What an experience from the moment we walked in the door the front of staff where very friendly and welcoming they explained everything to us on the menu and where very knowledgeable on the wine selection. From the first plate to the last the flavours where exceptional and presentation was exquisite.

05/10/2024: First class food and service. Great tasting menu. Extremely welcoming and engaging service from the brilliant Australian waitress. Food was amazing. The tomato dish and the languistine were out of this world. The cured meats were top class and so full of flavour. Thoroughly recommend

20/08/2024: First time eating in The Waterloo, it did not disappoint! I got a delicious cajun chicken burger with fries, whereas my girlfriend went for a classic soup of the day.

13/11/2024: Myself and my husband were married in Belleek at the end of October. It was a small, intimate wedding as we only wanted to celebrate with our nearest and dearest and share a magical moment in time with all of them. The team and the venue not only achieved this, but they managed to pull each and every one of us through time and create one night in which we could all live as in another lifetime. From the second we walked through the doors, we were greeted with the almost haunting atmosphere of the medieval reception hall and the smell of turf burning on the open fires. The candlelight dancing through the hallways guiding your path at night adds to a truly spectacular experience overall. Our ceremony and wedding reception was a demonstration of the most exemplary service, led by Shauna, the single most remarkable human being I have ever met. She's is a gift and the living embodiment of Irish hospitality. If what she had could be bottled and sold then the industry would be saved from near ruin. 07/11/2024: One of our favorite places we stayed at on our honeymoon! While we only stayed for one night, this stop was everything we could have dreamed of. The staff was friendly, especially the bar manager, Steven. He took care of us during our afternoon tea, and we saw him buzzing around all evening carrying out multiple duties at dinner and working behind the bar. A+ employee!! The included breakfast had an excellent selection to choose from and was delicious. The room was large and the whole place was so beautifully authentic. The beds were comfortable and the place was quiet. The water pressure in the shower was less than ideal, but the overall experience was amazing and we would return in a heartbeat if given the chance. Thank you for giving us, what felt like, the Royal Treatment!
