Swagman
Sligo
11/04/2026: Best bar and food staff found in a pub yet. They made quick accommodations for our group and provided great cheerful service. Highly recommended.
06/04/2026: Excellent vibes about this place! I believe it was a 'Dale' spotted us coming in and immediately made sure we had seats, which was highly sound of him and welcoming. Got seated next to and chatting to a long established regular 'Nathan' who was beyond civil and a credit to himself and to the pub. Pub itself is super cool, well presented, well lit, great music, superb beer garden, very relaxed, and drinks were spot on and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend. Not just one of the best bars in Sligo, one the best bars in the country I reckon. Well done to allđ

McGann's Pub
16/04/2026: I didnât get anything crazy just a salad which I thought wasnât half bad! My friend got the soup of the day (vegetableâ she wasnât the biggest fan of it). The Irish coffees werenât very good though I donât know if my expectations were higher but i was just a little disappointed. The seating was also just a little tight.
15/04/2026: Nice staff!!
Good menu selection to suits all appetites.. lovely food, great breakfast also!

06/04/2026: Old house with very interesting history. Worth to visit! We were there in wet weather so weren't able to walk in this beautiful garden.
03/04/2026: Worth a visit to get a sense of Irish aristocracy. Beautiful architectural details

The Skeff
Galway
09/09/2025: Authentic pub with fantastic food!
Service was rather mediocre.
09/09/2025: The Skeff is part of the The Skeffington Arms Hotel. Food was very good. The Seafood Chowder and a couple of (non!) Stout beers from other parts of Ireland were a welcomed change of pace. IPA's, actually. One from Letterkenny, and the other from Kill, County Kildare. Other than the service being just a tad slow, it was (overall) very good. And the live music was magical this night. Okay...Not exactly magical, but covers from bands/artists that everyone knows, sung by a group of a youngish band of 3 called The Groev. They did a great job, actually.

16/03/2026: Had a refreshing Kopparberg cider at the Grove Bar with my friends, such a great spot to unwind! The atmosphere was lively, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Dublin Skylon Hotel
Dublin
18/04/2026: A well-maintained hotel with friendly service. There's a good bus connection right in front of the hotel to the city center (âŹ2 / 10 min) and also to the airport. The hotel restaurant offers a good menu with plenty of choices. The rooms are comfortable and clean. A safe, a refrigerator (empty), and an ironing board are provided.
The only drawback is the lack of air conditioning in the room. On hot days, the table fan is definitely insufficient. The carpet in the room is also rather old-fashioned from a hygiene perspective.
16/04/2026: Friendly staff ... Fast service
Just need to help more when at functions when customers order large rounds to carry tray's to table's

Kitty OâSeâs
Killarney
12/04/2026: As part of my birthday weekend, my hubby brought me here for dinner. We were late and almost lost our table (our own fault), just made it in time, despite this, the staff are very welcoming and friendly and very attentive. Itâs obvious that this place is popular as every table was occupied. The waitress brought some bread to start with. I had sizzling prawns for starters and the seafood tagliatelle, my hubby had a caprese salad and hake fish.
All of our dishes were tasty, my hubby said it was one of the best hake dishes he has had. By the end I was quite full so I wasnât going to bother but my hubby insisted.. and then I knew why, when I heard the waiting staff singing âhappy birthdayâ to me as they brought out my dessert which has a huge sparkler in the middle of the dessert, everyone joined in too, they even sang my name (I never experienced that before). I was definitely taken by surprise and just thought it was such a nice touch which added to the dining experience, despite not being regulars.
Itâs the little things that matter and count and I will shareâŠ
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the evening, ambience, food and service. It certainly lives up to the reviews and would highly recommend!! We will definitely return.
08/04/2026: We ordered three different types of oyster plates, seafood chowder, fish and chips, calamari, and salmon. Everything was just great.

Glas
Dublin
04/04/2026: My two stars go only to the staff, who were very kind and professional, and to the setting, which was very pleasant.
Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the food. The problem was not just the portion size, but also the lack of substance in the dishes, which were not filling at all. The plates were made up almost entirely of vegetables, even though being vegetarian and gluten-free should not mean serving poorly balanced meals. It is perfectly possible to offer dishes that are both balanced and satisfying, with proper starches that do not necessarily contain gluten. On top of that, the food was poorly seasoned and far too salty. Overall, the value for money was not there.
04/04/2026: Itâs scandalous that Glas doesnât have a Michelin star.
Iâve tried a wide variety of restaurants in Dublin over the last 3 months, and Glas is heads and shoulders above the rest (and Iâm not a vegetarian).
The flavours, the combinations, the presentation, the front of house and the atmosphere all set you up for one of the best nightâs youâll have.
And if you go out of the more popular serving hours, the price is also unbelievable. Make the most of this while itâs affordable!

17/04/2026: First stayed here 8 years ago and have since settled in the area. A quality establishment and a location you can't beat. The beach is my happy place.
16/04/2026: Lauren, your kind hospitality and warmth is duly noted. You served prosecco with such a genuine smile, it really made the experience special for my Mother and I. Thank you so, so much x

Taylors Three Rock
Dublin
04/04/2026: Just an average pub with nothing special
28/03/2026: What a fantastic first visit to Taylors Three Rock!
I finally made it to Taylors Three Rock in Rathfarnham and what an absolutely brilliant night out! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric â this place knows how to put on a great evening.
The food was really good â classic, hearty Irish fare done well. Nothing to complain about there at all. But the real highlight of the night was the band â they were absolutely fantastic and had the whole place buzzing. Such a great energy that kept everyone entertained all night long.
The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were attentive, friendly, and on top of everything, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
If youâre looking for a fun and entertaining night out in Dublin, Taylors Three Rock is absolutely the place to go. Iâll definitely be back â highly recommend!

Sheehans
Dublin
07/04/2026: Although might not be the cheapest pub in town, itâs worth every cent. đ Lovely staff, and yes the potato soup is just amazing. đ€© Can recommend the sandwiches but also the Fish and Chips is highly appreciated. Also one of the few pubs where you can easily book online by email.
04/04/2026: Great stout pie and stout! Other food was good as well and the service was friendly and accommodating.

22/02/2026: Great experience. We love staying here.
One thing though, my car was badly damaged in the carpark. Not sure if there's CCTV in that area but would be great to find out how & when it happened.

Camden Kitchen
Dublin
27/02/2026: Fantastic meal. I had the crab, mussels and cockles risotto to start, followed by duck with dauphinoise potato and celeriac, with rhubarb crumble to finish. Each course consisted of a wealth of different flavours. Good service too.
19/02/2026: Three of us visited mid week for a three course set menu.
We shared some additional sides and a couple of bottles of wine. I don't recall exactly what we paid but it seemed very reasonable considering the quality of the food . The cadence of the service was perfect. Hosts were friendly and informative. We lingered and at no point did we feel rushed... Definitely will return. Oh and the duck was excellent. Loved the turnips .
