19/03/2025: It is a nice pub that you could easily spend an evening in. The food is nice, as a veggie there were good options. Service was very good, the staff really worked hard to ensure customers were attended to.

14/03/2025: Come here everytime I am over. I travel from England to see family. Really nice food, lovely homely atmosphere. Staff are attentive and kind, always make you feel welcome. Very clean too. I have either lasagne or turkey and ham. Tried a dessert this time, the death by chocolate. Highly recommend.

19/02/2025: Food absolutely fantastic, never fails to disappoint. Service airy fairy. Nearly ten minutes from first main course to the table to the last and it wasn't a bit group. Ordering desert before water was brought to last few at table. Extra sides not brought at all.

26/03/2025: If you want authentic Irish dancing and singing this is the place to go this place was so much fun. I went to Ireland with the Bowling Green State University marching band,family and friends and they were able to accommodate 295 college kids and probably over a 140 family and friends, and band help. We all had a great time.

24/02/2025: Arrived shortly after opening time (1pm) on a Sunday to find the front door closed. When after waiting for several minutes we managed to get in through a side entrance the owner rebuked us for not having used the front door which was locked on the inside. She then said there was no food available because of a problem with the power supply. Many people like us will have come from a long way away to visit the pub because of the association with Tom Crean but as far as we could tell only locals are made welcome. I wonder how the legendary Tom Crean would have felt about this. Completely different from our experience everywhere else we have been in the area.

11/04/2025: Big thank you to Findlater pub, especially to Nuno, all the staff and managment team for looking after us and making our wedding reception absolutely unforgettable! Our guests had a blast and everyone is impressed with the staff and level of service.

09/04/2025: Lovely place. We went there for a few drinks and late lunch after the hike. Didn’t order any mains - just starters and sides. Massive portions and very delicious food. Good choice of drinks and children friendly place as they have children’s menu with some crayons and coloring. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.

29/03/2025: Was there as part of a work do. 20 plus people so hat tip for accommodating us. Service was fast and responsive. Ordered the black pudding salad starter which was nice but the pudding a little undercooked (not crispy). Acknowledge this might be a personal preference but still. Ordered fish cakes as a main and they were not great. Dry and lacking seasoning. My co workers seemed happy with their mains. It's a good location but wasn't blown away with the food.

25/03/2025: My family and I went to Isaac’s on Sunday evening, the food was absolutely beautiful the service was even better ! My wife tired to pay with a voucher and she was told that you can only use it in greens, cask and Isaac’s hotel which is completely understandable. Our issue was with the woman that gave us the bill, our server was a young man potentially French and he was so nice and friendly and couldn’t have given us better service! The woman refused to let us tip him to the point where the tipping option was manually overridden and just made the whole interaction very awkward for everyone at the table. So to the guy that served us we really did want to tip you because you gave us a lovey experience but we were just simply told we were not aloud

23/03/2025: I have eaten here a number of times over the last 2 years, with 3 other family members, & we are usually celebrating a birthday. The food has always been delicious, well presented & the portions are good. The service is excellent, with just the right balance of attentiveness. Almost as soon as we ran out of water or drinks, a server or manager checked to see if we wanted more. Every staff member who we interacted with was friendly, engaging & professional. I would recommend The Cornstore to anyone, especially if you like chateaubriand!!

23/03/2025: I normally love the Cornstore but recently went there and ordered the Cannelloni, the sauce was very sweet and it was almost like having dessert for main course. Chef needs to review this dish!

12/04/2025: Really good Lunch today in "Timeless" with a local Friend. Food was Excellent. Service was Very good. Price's were Very reasonable. This is a small but very good local restaurant . Highly Recommended without hesitation.

09/04/2025: Staff manage time fitted us in between 2 planned settings. Staff very welcoming /helpful especially at the door. Food was fresh, hot and very tasty. Service was swift, friendly and professional. Even as the next setting arrived and restaurant was at capacity the staff remained the same and looked well managed. (Make sure you take cash for a tip, as cannot add service with the bill on card)

16/03/2025: During our recent trip to Inishowen, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at Simpson’s Bar and Restaurant, a well-known and highly recommended spot in the area. With a history dating back to 1911 and a charming collection of antique showpieces, the restaurant offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Despite being a busy place, the service was impressively quick and efficient. The food lived up to its great reputation. We started with Taco Chicken Tenders, which were incredibly crispy and fresh. For the mains, I had the Crispy Italian Chicken, which was packed with flavor—the roasted pepper and tomato sauce added a delicious kick to every bite. The portion sizes were generous, making the meal even more satisfying. The kids’ menu was also impressive, both in portion size and taste. I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken curry with rice, which had the perfect blend of spices—so good that I couldn’t resist trying it myself! To top it all off, we indulged in the cheesecake for dessert, which was absolutely delightful and made our experience even better. Overall, Simpson’s Bar and Restaurant exceeded our expectations and truly lived up to the praise we had heard from the locals. We left with full stomachs and happy hearts, knowing we had made a great choice. If you’re ever in the area, this place is definitely worth a visit!
