15/03/2026: I would like to warmly thank the entire team at this hotel for the welcome I received during my one-night stay, where I also had the pleasure of enjoying dinner and breakfast. The room I stayed in was beautiful, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It made me feel right at home. A special thank you to the lovely hostess Beata, whom I met upon arrival: her kindness, smile, and professionalism truly touched me. People like her make you feel instantly welcome. More broadly, everyone I met during these few days in Ireland, and especially in Kildare, was absolutely wonderful. I sincerely recommend that anyone passing through Kildare stay at Thomas Silken Accommodation and stop by without hesitation for a drink, a meal, or a place to sleep. It's also just a few minutes' walk from the outlet mall. A big thank you to you all for these wonderful moments. I wish you all the best and please take good care of yourself. See you soon, I hope.

19/03/2026: The Trocadero is an Irish staple for food; it's been around for as long as I can remember. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here. The food is always phenomenal, and the drinks are just as good. They have a fantastic selection of wines and cocktails. This restaurant is a family favorite; you have to call and you will see why. The staff are superb; everyone is happy to see you, and they do their utmost to please you. I look forward to the next time I can call again.

12/03/2026: The food was delicious, well prepared, the staff were friendly and efficient, the atmosphere was classic quality dining with 8x10 glossies of actors on the wall. My husband and I both had the lamb which was prepared perfectly in a reduction sauce with as side of spinach, for dessert I had the poached pear and my husband had the miso chocolate tart, both were excellent!

03/01/2026: Had the mussels, the crab cake with smoked fish, the lamb and the panfried hake. The crab cake was the best part of the meal for sure, although the others weren’t bad either.

04/12/2025: Went here for food and drinks on a trip shortly after getting married this summer. The food and service were incredible. We loved every moment of it. When we told them we'd just gotten married, they gave us a free drink. So generous. Will be back every time in the area.

16/02/2026: I loved the food, it was very well prepared and the waitress Clara was very friendly, explaining everything and the live music was great.

16/02/2026: Live music, our young teenagers were welcome (were there at around 7pm), and our server was polite/attentive. Obviously, Temple Bar prices are to be expected. Guinness was €9.90 and larger were €9.95.

14/12/2025: The food was delicious, the Chowder was one of the best I've ever had, the beef eye steak was amazing, everything was great, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic, there are TVs to watch the games and they have a terrace upstairs.

The portions are huge, and the value for money is excellent. The staff are incredibly welcoming and professional, making us feel right at home. 06/01/2026: Not before time am I writing this review. Go there most Saturdays with my friend and have never been disappointed. Steak sandwiche and chips are absolutely delicious. The excellent staff are amongst the best i have encountered. 100% recommend that people try this marvellous place.

13/03/2026: Really lovely morning was had here. Perfect seats with a view, a lovely full Irish breakfast and a nice touch having stringed cards to hang for memories. One of my best dining experiences.

06/03/2026: Was there fir a retirement party and we had the outside covered venue to ourselves. Great venue, brilliant atmosphere, tasty food and super friendly staff. Great place for a quiet good value pint or venue for a get together

13/12/2025: Love a meal here whenever we are in Carlow , good good and service , staff are really good and pleasant .

08/12/2025: Had a nice Cesar Salad with plenty of parmesan. The chicken was breaded so good luck on the calories count but nice as well. Apple pie wasn’t bad either but wish it had some cinnamon or winter spice. Parking is on street or the omniplex across the road ( pay options in both cases). Best thing here is the commitment to value that not many places still have. Will return.

11/03/2026: We had a wonderful stay. The food was delicious. Ye have the best staff I have ever come across. Everyone was so nice and professional. Lots to do and most importantly the kids enjoyed themselves. Between the petting farm, play park and pool the kids were well entertained. The bedroom we stayed in was on ground level. Very spacious but very warm at night. We would love to return some time and we will definitely be recommending this hotel to our family and friends.

10/03/2026: Absolutely fantastic Hotel! Stayed here 20 year's ago and it was top notch and my return visit was even better! I never ever drank pints in a Hotel bar that were nice until I stayed here and to see Murphys on draught was a huge surprise and they were absolutely savage, pure creamy and delicious! Beautiful food and fantastic staff who are on hand to help out plus loads of activities for kid's etc. I will be seeing you again soon! Thank you very much!
