26/07/2026: This place has a really nice interior and vibe to it. The cocktails were good, but a bit pricey. Unfortunately the food was a let down. To start I ordered the prawn pil pil and was brought a prawn salad. I sent it back and then when I got the prawn pil pil it was very disappointed, there was no flavour at all - I had to add a lot of salt and the prawns weren’t great quality. Working in a kitchen myself I understand the annoyance of an order being sent back, but it seems as there was no effort put into the dish. The waiters didn’t apologise for the mistake and overall it was very pricey. I would recommend this place for cocktails but not food.

05/07/2026: I'm just back from a Sunday lunch visit to The Cottage and had to immediately write a short review. It was exceptional. Sometimes you're handed a menu and there's only one or two options that appeal to you - making your choice of starter and main course easy - but this is not the way The Cottage rolls. Plenty of options, lots of variety and I wanted all of them - but eventually chose tuna to start and duck for my main. The food was beautifully presented, delicately seasoned and in the case of my duck main, served in monstrously big portions. Every bite was delicious but to then hit me with a dessert trolley and a waitress who seems to have taken a leaf out of Mrs Doyles book ('Ah go on, have another little bit') was more than my waistline could bear. EUR40 for the Sunday lunch menu is an absolute steal. The food was amazing, the setting in historic Jamestown was lovely and the staff were warm & welcoming. Highly recommended!

26/06/2026: Loved this pub! Solo travelling I don't normally to into a pub as I'm shy! but I felt so very welcomed its my definite go to pub when heading to dundalk!! I will be returning soon hopefully a rose wine will be awaiting my arrivals thankyou again for taking very good care of me! See you soon

I’m so glad we had the chance to experience Glas it was truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Dublin. 15/07/2026: The restaurant is adorable, calm, on a beautiful street. The drinks were delicious and well made. The service was stellar. However, while the food was initially pleasing to the eye, upon tasting it my fiance and I realized something was deeply wrong. The flavors were mismatched, bitter, and overall nauseating. Most dishes were difficult to finish. The vegetables themselves were cooked well, but then inexplicably smothered in increasingly bizarre and unpleasant sauces and garnishes. Sometimes it felt as though they added things because the words sounded artful on the menu, but the final effect was nothing short of inedible. For example a crumble underneath the oyster mushrooms that tasted like tobacco and sand. Then a main dish that had a thick white sauce that I'm certain was made of just water and cornstarch, with no flavor at all, which if truth be told was preferred to some of the flavors I had to endure previous to it. We were also under the impression the main vegetable would come with at least a noticeable portion of rice, potatoes, or anything which might sate the appetite but this was not the case. The beet root dish amounted to one small beet, however artfully served. The dessert was a burnt creme brulee which was bruleed to the point of blackness and an admittedly tasty ice cream which was for no reason at all served on top of some sort of sour pickles. The meal cost us 90 each all in all and I would accept the small amount of food if it were easy to eat, but unfortunately it was difficult to finish even the small amount served. It seems as though they once had a highly skilled chef, but he must have quit and been replaced by a drunk dishwasher.

11/07/2026: Dinner on Thursday evening with 10 people. We were seated upstairs which I think is fab. It can be a bit pricey but I don’t mind it for portion and quality. Appetizers and mains were lovely and very filling. Every dish turned out to be a highlight so I can’t recommend enough the ones that I had. I heard bad reviews from people but now I regret not trying it out sooner. It was such a delightful, wholesome dining experience and prob head back soon.

10/05/2026: Our first time to visit last night (group of 4) and although it was very busy and we had no booking we were very well looked after by all the staff. The quality of the food was excellent from our starters through to the deserts (I had a truly wonderful Wagyu burger). Super food & delightful service. We look forward to visiting again soon.

28/06/2026: After spending nearly 30 minutes walking around rainy Dingle trying to find somewhere to eat, we were honestly starting to lose hope. A few places we walked into didn’t feel very welcoming, but the moment we stepped into Lord Baker’s, everything changed. We were greeted with the biggest smiles, warmly welcomed in, and the menu was explained so kindly. It genuinely felt less like walking into a restaurant and more like walking into someone’s home. The atmosphere was cosy, relaxed, and exactly what we needed after exploring Dingle in the rain. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was even better. Every member of staff made us feel looked after from start to finish. Without a doubt, this was the highlight of our day. We’d come back in a heartbeat. 10/10 – if you’re in Dingle, don’t miss this place!
