05/04/2025: Great options for adults and kids. Really nice food, menu has great variety and changes regularly. Anyone thinking of running a restaurant should pay a couple of visits and see how it should be done. Amazing how the food and service can be so consistently good for years and years!

De fora, o ambiente parece um pouco escuro, mas de dentro se percebe que está na medida exata para um local aconchegante. Há alguns espelhos, velas, mesas com um espaçamento adequado e principalmente... um excelente som ambiente. A playlist que tocava no restaurante em nossa visita estava de bastante bom gosto. Quanto à comida, estava ok. Não podemos dizer que não estava boa. Contudo, creio que um acréscimo de temperos poderia incrementar um pouquinho o sabor. Ainda assim, é um lugar que vale a pena a visita.

14/04/2025: Fabulous experience in a gorgeous setting. We booked it for a large group for a Christening lunch. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, and everyone commented on how delicious the food was. Highly recommend eating here if in the locality.

23/03/2025: Great experience! The atmosphere at the bar is super pleasant, cozy, and perfect for a good time with friends. The staff was very polite and attentive, which made all the difference. The food was really good, but I missed having more vegetarian options on the menu. It would be great to see more variety in that regard. Overall, a very positive experience, and I’ll definitely be back!

17/03/2025: Rude waitress who ignored us until we pulled the takeway out to tell us to not eat on the property. We bought drinks for 80 plus euros and she insisted that they dont split bills until she caved in and split it in half. Couldnt do mental math I guess. Cocktails were mid. Atmosphere outside was solid especially at night under the heaters, but soured by the service.

11/03/2025: Had the tasting menu here last week , was absolutely delicious, everything was amazing and seasoned to perfection 👌. I am a chef myself, i have worked in Michelin starred restaurants here in ireland and been head chef in paris , and I couldn't fault a single thing about the food . The only funny thing was being served delish pork belly and being told it was teriyaki salmon , honestly only added a bit of humour to the evening. I get that servers sometimes get it wrong . The level of produce being served was high level(thankfully given the high price point). Atmosphere in the place was great . Everyone was lovely , and I look forward to returning. The high price point ended up seeming like good value . I'd had a mediocre experience here the year previously but this experience of the tasting menu has totally changed my mind on the place. Really lovely, thank you .

29/03/2025: Amazing restaurant, great friendly staff, fabulous food. 3 of the 4 people in our group ordered steak, which I thought would be sacrilegious in a seafood restaurant and I have to say it was possibly the best steak I have had in years. Hats off to the chef and team 👏👏👏

05/04/2025: It took them more than 25 minutes to serve our meal and the teapot wasn't the same as what it was featured on the menu. Our Baileys cheesecake wasn't served at all. It was hard for us to get someone's attention. The Irish breakfast is more like a fusion. The potato cake was actually quite ok, but we're just quite upset with the service.

24/02/2025: We’ve been to the townhouse a couple of times and decided to head out last Saturday for lunch, we arrived and waited no longer than 5 minutes to be seated, a lovely friendly waitress showed up to table at the back exit next to the back door , we asked if we could close the door and this was no problem as the table was in a draft. Shortly after a man who I’m assuming was either the manager or the owner came along and opened the door and used a watering can to keep it open, we then proceeded to close it as it was freezing, within seconds he ran out saying we had to leave it open as people would be going in and out. We explained we told we could close the door and that was the reason we took the table. He was adamant the door had to stay open , we asked of we could move table and he dismissed us saying I’m sure there’s a table inside and walked off, the whole situation was a simple thing , he wanted the door left open , absolutely no problem, but it was the manner in which we were spoken to and fobbed off that was plainly just rude . We explained to a different waitress we took the table because we were told we could keep the door closed and he’s now telling us we can’t , the poor girl was so embarrassed. There were clearly no tables inside and there was a queue out the door and he fobbed us off saying yer out of luck ladies ye will just have to wait . Which I can assure you wouldn’t have been an issue if we were spoken to respectfully . Needless to say we didn’t stay as he was now talking loudly from behind the desk and the waitress and ourselves were embarrassed at this stage. We won’t be returning or recommending the townhouse unfortunately.

13/11/2024: Don’t miss this cafe if you are travelling through Waterville. In fact you should even make a detour to experience it. We had the best toasted sandwich ever here and followed it up with a delicious serving of carrot cake. Excellent food eaten outside on a sunny warm November day - heaven!

07/11/2024: We have literally just left this wonderful, family operated cafe and already wish we could return for another stunning breakfast. Not only was the food great for all you traditional Irish breakfast lovers, but the care and talent put into the vegan/vegetarian version was super appreciated. Staff are warm and welcoming! We’ll certainly remember this stop on our trip and we know you won’t forget it either.

La comida y los cócteles eran fabulosos, agradable ambiente frío durante el día y el personal era muy amable también. Volvimos allí más tarde en la noche de nuevo para bailar toda la noche, con una banda en vivo y DJ después, gran craic! 21/03/2025: We’ve given this place three chances, and unfortunately, it has let us down every time. Each time we visited, we wanted to eat in the **restaurant area**, but they kept pushing us to sit in the **bar**, which is not where we wanted to dine. To avoid the hassle, we even tried making a **booking at lunchtime today**, hoping to secure a table in the restaurant, only to be told **they don’t take lunch time reservations but there will be space when we arrive**. Yet, when we arrived, they still refused to seat us where we wanted. What’s the point of having a restaurant area if customers are constantly redirected elsewhere while we are looking at empty tables in the restaurant which we know cant be booked? Extremely **poor service**, **frustrating experience**, and we won’t be returning.
