15/08/2026: I would imagine that they call themselves “The pancake cottage”. I would rather eat sheep dung. Too butter for my sweet tooth.

29/07/2026: Fantastic place, we've visited multiple occasions. Lovely indoor setting but also beautiful outdoor as well. Pancakes are delicious, kids loved them, devoured them all. Staff are terrific and helpful. A real gem.

31/08/2026: Went there just for a drink: nice pub and good atmosphere. FYI: it's not the oldest pub in Ireland (the real one is in Athlone).

21/08/2026: A very traditional, cozy, and rustic pub. The decor and countless photos on the walls tell a fascinating story. Many great live music evenings throughout the month (see the website for the schedule). During our visit, several guests joined in the music and sang along enthusiastically. A fantastic atmosphere. There's also a beer garden when the weather is nice!

03/08/2026: I don’t usually go into pubs to be lectured about contentious political issues happening 10,000km away… Our politicians are already doing a fantastic job of that! When I go into a pub, I usually just want to be served a drink. As a regular visitor to Clonakilty, for this reason alone, I will never return to De Barras. Also, the male staff here over the long weekend were absolutely tragic and a total let down. Seemed as though they were incapable of serving the male gender for some weird reason. One drink and done, never again 👋

01/09/2026: Stopped by chance for dinner and it was by far best I've had in Ireland 🇮🇪 great portion sizes and cheap. Food is off a high standard and chefs no exactly what there doing will definitely call again

21/08/2026: At first it felt like a touristy place and I wasn’t so excited. But the food came and we were blown away by how delicious it all was! The music was fantastic and starts earlier in the afternoon which is a plus.

09/08/2026: It's taking a while for us to have a meal at O'Neills Bistro, wow what a treat it's more just a visit, the food and staff are acceptional. Well worth the visit please note you must make a reservation. Thanks

03/08/2026: My family had a meal at O Neillls For my daughter 40th birthday. From the minute we arrived we were looked after so professionally. The food was excellent and the service by Christina, fantastic. I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant. We had a great night.
