24/03/2025: The food that each of us got was exceptional. I have eaten here many times, but the food has definitely gone up a level. My food was so tasty and large generous portion, but looking at the plates of food my other family members had ordered, I was jealous as it looked so tasty and they confirmed it was. Can’t compliment the food enough. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and accommodating.

09/04/2025: Everything was amazing. We ordered a half portion of chowder which was the best I've ever had, the shrimp nachos and a salmon po boy and the shrimp Mac and cheese. It was so well seasoned and fresh and the service was very prompt and friendly!! I think the menu was one of the best seafood restaurants I've seen especially as I'm not actually a huge shellfish fan- there was so much fish to choose from. We arrived at 6.30pm on a Tuesday and had no problem getting a table but right now it's 8pm and there's a q out the door! Get there early.

26/03/2025: Love to pop in for lunch every time I’m around the area, easy parking in front of the place. Portions are massive, had about 4 times the pork schnitzel and another few times the Carbonara, which really fills you up. Great spot for a quick lunch while working.

25/02/2025: Enjoyed a meal here for Sunday lunch, I had the roast beef, which was delicious real good cut, my wife had fillet of cod which was also lovely, service was also good and the atmosphere nice also but the big letdown was the price of a glass of wine, €13.50, absolute robbery thus the 3 stars, can’t understand for the life of me how that price can be justified for a glass of wine

Extensive wine selection.
We had a minor hiccup where the wine we had ordered was not what we received and we didn't notice until we were halfway through a glass- no major issue as it was tasty anyway and our fault for not noticing when it was brought to the table.
Service was prompt and the food good. Very much enjoyed the beef cheek starter.
Portion size was generous.
Busy place so be sure to book if you want to try it.
05/04/2025: We were excited to try The Winding Stair given its reputation and charming setting. Unfortunately, the steak was a major letdown—it was overcooked, tough, and lacked any real flavor. For a dish that’s supposed to be a standout, it missed the mark entirely. The rest of the meal was just okay, nothing particularly memorable or worth recommending. The dessert and wine were decent, but not enough to make up for the underwhelming main course.

23/03/2025: I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the nightclub.
One area for improvement is that the music was too loud and became distorted, making it hard to talk with friends. Maybe it could be lowered a bit!
