08/11/2025: The bodyguard don't let me enter inside the pub and they were really rude to me.

25/11/2025: Had to wait to be seated but it was fine. Food was great! Service was great!

24/11/2025: Visiting Ireland for the first time, and our tour guide recommended this pub to get some food and drinks. This place is older than the US Constitution! I had a delicious Irish Angus burger, with a homemade red ale called The King's Head Blood Red which had the slogan "This will keep its head, unlike a certain king!" The chips (fries) were not really seasoned, but the waitress gave salt, pepper, and ketchup beforehand. We were helped by Molly, who I thought was strikingly pretty (has nothing to do with the review, but fun to mention). In fact all the staff were easy on the eyes! If you want a drink, there is a proper bar area, but if you want to eat there is a bistro you will need to find the door to in the bar area.

03/10/2025: I can only agree with the hotel restaurant, which I've never tried. The atmosphere is welcoming and decidedly Irish. After a brief period of confusion, a young Italian (in Ireland) with immense talent returns to manage the kitchen, and he will surely be able to bring this splendid Northern Ireland restaurant to life!

30/11/2025: From start to finish we were really impressed with this hotel. Beautiful old wordly decor and atmosphere. Hotel organised taxi for us to go to the TLT. Fantastic friendly staff. We had a beautiful dinner and breakfast served to our table. We would come back definitely. A lovely experience and we highly recommend this hotel.

29/09/2025: Does not serve food. Google lies that it’s a restaurant. But the drinks and atmosphere are perfect. A James Joyce awarded pub, quintessential Irish pub experience.

20/11/2025: Really nice experience. Fillet steak was fabulous. We had a large group and they looked after everyone really well.

13/11/2025: I plan and schedule monthly private dinners with my group of friends in Cork. Most of us loved our food and service was absolutely great, we loved our waiter. One of my friends however had an issue with her pasta, where it tasted overly salty to the point where she couldn’t finish it, we all tried it. Pretty sure something accidentally happened there but she relied on her side dish as her main meal. Otherwise would be back again!

06/12/2025: Best food I’ve had in Dublin and the service was fantastic. Absolutely amazing strawberry wine and the beer was great too. Highly recommend the scotch egg and the crab! Thank you!

02/12/2025: Food sucked. Everything was ridiculously overpriced and without flavour. Brought a bill first and then took it away and brought it with 12.5 service charge over an overpriced dinner because we were 5.

01/12/2025: August 2025 On our bike tour, we were allowed to put up our tent for the night in the backgarden. Sean welcomed us, we had a great chat and we enjoyed a drink on the pub’s terrace overlooking the Shannon.

25/11/2025: I was lucky to be able to drink a beer in front of the fireplace. Then we moved to the beautiful restaurant room next door where we had delicious food overlooking the river. Finally, the owner gave us a tour of the old pub from 1775

07/11/2025: 2 years later from orig Visited again today and absolutely superb. 👌 brought my mum who LOVED it and is already planning lunch with her friends. Well done. We had the Hake special. Zero alcohol mc Ivor cider (delish) & hot raspberry scone! Orig Yum! Went here for Lunch a few weeks ago with my Sister who had recommended it having had breakfast there. I had the most delicious pulled pork sandwich with an amazing apple based sauce on . The hostess was lovely and so welcoming plus I just love the chilled out vibe and decor. Going back today!

02/11/2025: When I saw they did BBQ we had already planned on coming, but the fact our local guesthouse owner also recommended them sealed the deal. Really cosy pub, early Saturday night, and got the last free table. The staff were lovely and fast. The food is just next-level. There is something primal about smoky charred meat on a bone. I loved it and will come again.

29/08/2025: The food and its presentation (dishes and desserts) were excellent. The service very gentle and kind. I had a superb espresso corretto with brandy. The rhabarber cake or pie was really good. Keep on and thank you very much!

12/11/2025: FANTASTIC Excellent value for money. I'll definitely be back, both for its excellent quality, intense flavors, preparation, and presentation, as well as for its ambiance and service. If they offered the menu in other languages, something very easy to implement, it would be helpful for tourists, of whom there are more and more each year visiting this wonderful region. 18/11/2025: Visited bank holiday Sunday and this place was fabulous. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was that I had to queue. Omg the food was amazing, the staff are so helpful. I will be back! Very busy but obviously it's because it is excellent.
