19/09/2026: Had a lovely relaxed lunch here, food was beautiful. Service was brilliant, no rushing you off the table or to place your order. Great place to have a catch up as although was busy you don't feel you are involved in other people's conversation. Will definitely be back

10/10/2026: We ordered Bacon, Liver, Onions, Peas, Mash and Gravy. We got Bacon, Liver, Carrots, Swede (Turnip) and, eventually, Mash. Everything was lovely except the overcooked and leathery liver.

01/10/2026: *4 stars – almost everything is perfect here!* We had a truly wonderful stay. The service is simply outstanding – very friendly, attentive, and quick without being intrusive. You immediately feel welcome and well taken care of. The food was fantastic: The fish and chips were incredibly delicious, crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, served with fresh fries and a tasty coleslaw. Highly recommended! The coffee was also excellent. I had an Americano, which was really strong and aromatic, exactly how I like it and not watered down like so often elsewhere. But the absolute highlight was dessert: The apple pie with vanilla sauce and vanilla ice cream was incredibly delicious! Warm, moist, not too sweet, and simply divine in combination with the ice cream. The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and inviting. The only slight drawback is that it can get a bit noisy during peak hours. Otherwise, the value for money is excellent. We will definitely be back!

22/08/2026: Absolutely appalling handling of what should have been a very basic matter of common sense. A member of staff took a dessert order directly from our 3-year-old child without checking with either parent first. The dessert was then brought out and added to our bill. A 3-year-old is obviously not in a position to authorise an order. More seriously, the staff had no idea whether our child had allergies, dietary restrictions, or whether there was another reason we had chosen not to order dessert for them. Serving food to a very young child without first checking with a parent is completely unacceptable. When I raised this with the manager, I expected the issue to be taken seriously. Instead, the response was incredibly nonchalant, with little more than a half-hearted apology. I made it clear that I would not be paying for something that neither parent had ordered or authorised. This was never about the price of a dessert. It was about basic responsibility, common sense, and appropriate service when dealing with young children. Mistakes can happen, but the dismissive attitude from management afterwards made the situation far worse. A very disappointing end to the meal, and based on how the complaint was handled, we will not be returning. We have not attended for lunch

07/06/2026: Went to the spa at the Kingsley hotel for the 90minutes offer. I rarely post reviews but it was absolutely amazing, way better than multiple 5* hotel spas I've been to in Ireland. Went just after the Bank holiday so it was really quiet and relaxing, the spa is very clean, temperatures are perfect and whoever designed the changing rooms - thank you for putting everything in one would need like hair straighteners and extra towels available without needing to ask for them. Would highly recommend and cannot wait to visit again 👌

08/10/2026: We went for breakfast. My Wife, my Son and I. My son and I had the full Irish with 2 bacon, 2 sausages,2 pieces of pudding, 1 black one white, why am i thinking about that song about a breakfast roll. Lol. Also mushrooms, beans and hash browns. My wife has the eggs benedict. All I can say is the food was as beautiful as the presentation. €18 for each breakfast. The staff were very attentive to us. They did everything so smoothly and always with a smile. Well worth the price, and the surroundings were so warm and cosy. Very elegant and classy. You can see the owners take great pride in their establishment. We will definitely be making this our place for our next breakfast and maybe even lunch too. The menu for that looked very appetising too. You won't regret it. I'd put my next breakfast on it. 😂

28/09/2026: My experience at rafertys rest was wonderful. My highlight of my night was my kindhearted lovely server Matthew. He truly served my party with a passion you could not fake. He was a dedicated kind and friendly person who absolutely made my night. The food was incredible but truly it was Matthew who made my evening and i will be a returning customer for him especially

04/09/2026: Really excellent food and superb service. Our waitress Roísín was extremely friendly and helpful. The quality of food here is sincerely impressive. I had the prawns to start which were devine and extremely tasty. I had the featherblade as my main. I wasn’t expecting it to be so satiating. The layers of flavour were something to behold. Will definitely be returning!

31/08/2026: Always really enjoy coming here with my kids. Just a small note, ye shouldn’t be running out of roast beef at 1:30pm on a Sunday lunch . Not the first time this has happened to us. Food in general is always top notch and great quality. Keep up the great work.

27/09/2026: Normally I don't post a review on the same day as my visit but in this case it is different. So arrived there was a good ambience and we shown to our tables. The singer they had later on was good and interacting with the crowd. We were a party of 17 and they separated the tables which was not ideal but we got over it. When ordering the food they took our order and then went to the other table in our party. There was a long time between placing the order and receiving the food but at that stage we didn't raise any concerns. So one of the tables received their food and the other table didn't. There was a ridiculous amount of time between services for both tables. I brought it to the attention of the manager who said she was getting it sorted but had to go back and report it again before service was delivered. On the late table they had ordered a starter and they got delivered at the same time. Who eats a starter and a main at the same time???????. Really poor treatment and no attempt was made from management of sincere apology or offer towards poor service. We were there in big numbers to celebrate a significant milestone and the extreme delay absolutely killed the vibe within the group. I doubt they get a table of 17 eating and drinking every week so we were putting a lot of money into this business for the services not to be reciprocated. Bad enough to be separated but the ridiculous delay between tables was brutal. One table was finished and the other had even got there's Don't take the booking if you can't fulfill it. If I could give it less stars I would because moments like this are snapshots we can't go back and do it again. They ruined what should have been a really special night. Any good memories taken from the night won't be because of you.

15/09/2026: What a wonderful welcome! The place was clean, cozy, and well-organized, and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. I ordered the famous Irish stew, and it certainly didn't disappoint….it was absolutely delicious! A very pleasant experience.

14/09/2026: During our stay in Dublin, we ate at the 1837 Bar & Brasserie in the Guinness Storehouse – and to be honest, we weren't expecting such good food at such a tourist attraction. I had the prawns on sourdough toast with smoked lemon, samphire, Dublin Bay prawns, and garlic butter, served with mushy peas and seaweed salted fries. I also had the house salad and mushroom potato. And what can I say? It was absolutely delicious. The prawns were superb, the mushy peas wonderfully creamy, and the salad was a real surprise. Very fresh with a pleasantly subtle dressing – just enough so that the ingredients could still taste of something and not just the dressing. I especially loved the open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant. You can watch the chefs at work, and it makes the whole place feel anything but like your typical touristy restaurant. A definite recommendation from me. If you're already at the Guinness Storehouse, I would definitely recommend eating here.

23/10/2026: Never in my life time happened to me to face such hostile and inappropriately bizzare management to take out some few items thrown in the parking bin while I was a customer at the restaurant and leave them by the car parked while again spending money at the venue. SHAME Given 1 star as I couldn't put 0

09/10/2026: Food wasn't amazing, just ok. Service was very lackluster. We asked for water and weren't given it, and when we asked for it (very politely to be clear) the guy working, who wasn't doing anything, seemed very put out by the request. There was literally nobody else in the restaurant.
