29/06/2026: Food was top notch! The seafood chowder was full of fresh fish, the cod was amazing and the chips were the best we've had!
16/06/2026: Great local hotel in Killorglan. Very friendly. Clean rooms. Great food. Room was very hot as we were blessed with good weather but besides that it was perfect.

The Lime Tree cafe & restaurant
14/08/2026: Lovely restaurant. Has a very good local reputation for good food. Lovely ambience. However, consideration for a new customer arriving for the first time is really poor. There is no indication at the door whether one must wait to be seated or not, so the first option is just to stand in the doorway, in the way, and feeling foolish. As no staff member approaches, second option is to move to an empty table with menus on it. Catch the eye of a staff member who is not friendly, to be told snappily that the table is reserved. Nothing on the table to indicate that this is the case. Table with one chair in the middle of the floor and flow of traffic offered. No query as to whether this would suit. Sit for a moment, feel really uncomfortable so stand up and leave as requesting an alternative table does not seem like an option, due to the unfriedliness of the staff member.
If one must wait to be seated, this needs to be indicated. If a table is reserved, this needs to be clearly indicated. Two easy fixes. As for the unfriendliness of staff... perhaps that person was just having a bad day. The next experience at The Lime Tree might be lovely.
28/07/2026: What a lovely little cafe. Decor really nice. I had a chicken Caesar wrap which was lovely. & a bowl of soup. My partner had a blt which he said was really nice & soup.
When we arrived we were told the fryer was broken so no chips. Bit disappointed but the food was lovely so no big deal. I will be back to try the chips!! We also tried the rhubarb lemonade and omg it was gorgeous. So refreshing and had a very sweet taste!! We also had warm apple pie which was lovely.
believe it had an outdoor area and is dog friendly. I would definitely recommend this place. Plenty on the menu for everyone. I thought the price was really good too for what we got.

Pig's Ear
Dublin
26/08/2026: We were offered several excellent traditional dishes, I opted for the Shepards pie, it was delicious. I tasted the cod dish, also spectacular. The service was impeccable. I finished my meal with the house cheesecake and a tawny port. I recommend this place as a โmust tryโ even if you were only in Dublin for a single night.
24/08/2026: Some really yummy food across the menu. The portion sizes were perfect to leave very satisfied without feeling bloated (had 3 courses, a glass of wine and a cocktail). Could do more to create a bit of a vibe inside as it was neither in the realm of fine dining, nor casual enough to feel completely comfortable having a full volume conversation.

Harkin's
Dublin
18/08/2026: Perfect place to eat near the Guinness store. We went based on the good reviews and it was a great choice. Traditional food at moderate prices. Highly recommended.
There isn't much space in the dining room, so I recommend arriving early.
17/08/2026: Very cool, but also quite expensive!

The Waterloo
Dublin
17/07/2026: Great pub, great atmosphere and staff are friendly and chatty. Loved the place, will come back again when I'm in Dublin next time.
16/07/2026: Did not eat but beautiful pub would highly recommend, great location just before the madness of the city on Baggot street junction before the bridge. They have tall tables, regular tables, booths and an outdoor smoking area upstairs. Really friendly manager/owner/doorman,barmen they have very respectful and professional staff who really know their locals but are also very friendly to strangers ๐ฅฐHas a charming lil piece of history for any one who's interested, the have created a Brendan Behan snug/corner where you can sit & enjoy a drink where he used to๐๐ค๐งก๐๐ค๐งก*I would say very family friendly but maybe not on big match days๐

The Kings Head
Galway
27/08/2026: Great pub with good atmosphere and live music
26/08/2026: If a place is in the center of town and is clearly a tourist trap, I tend to avoid it. I admit, however, that I didn't do that with The King's Head, and for the first time, I'm glad to be one of those tourists!
๐ VENUE | A classic Irish pub with a large room designed for beer consumption and a smaller one for food. I found it to be very well-kept down to the last detail and one of the most welcoming places in Ireland.
๐ถโโ๏ธ STAFF | The staff are all very young, and despite the crowds, they remain calm and friendly. Well done, it's quite a challenge, but you've overcome it!
๐จโ๐ณ CUISINE | Classic Irish cuisine, but with a few interesting dishes to discover. We went for the oysters (special), classic fish & chips, and cake to finish. Everything is truly special and made with quality ingredients.
๐ถ BILL | Prices are around โฌ30 per person for a full dinner. I'd say it's reasonable for what's on offer! I recommend it.

23/08/2026: Really Good. Food was Very Good. Staff tried hard. Only slight complaint is prob staff too attentive, over to us, too often, but thats nit picking.

Davis's Restaurant
12/09/2026: Guaranteed great food! Dont miss the chocolate brownie
11/09/2026: The food is reheated frozen food straight from the microwave. The plates are scorching hot, even for tortellini, which aren't meant to be cooked in the oven or microwave on a plate. The chicken wasn't very good, and the mashed potatoes were also reheated and probably a ready-made product. The only thing that was okay were the cheese and garlic potatoes.
The place is like a nursing home, with its chairs, tables, and plates. It's cafeteria-style decor and cafeteria food. If the food were at least decent, the decor wouldn't matter.
For these prices, the whole experience is truly awful. The service was okay, but I only gave it one star to keep the overall rating at one starโฆ
Don't go there!
