The bar is beautiful, inside the Guinness building. You absolutely have to book. The food is fantastic and the service was excellent. After your meal, you can check out the Guinness interactive exhibit or go up to the terrace to enjoy the city skyline with a beer. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Dublin! ❤️

Prices are understandably higher due to the location, but the cuisine is excellent, original, and well-prepared. It's not a tourist trap.

As we finished up our tour of the Guinness Storehouse, it was nice to have the dinner reservation. We had a 4:00 tour and the 5:45 dinner was perfectly timed. We shared a Seafood Tower and that was plenty of food for two. The smoked salmon and pickled mussels were definitely my favorite.
We were seated by one of the windows which do have some decent views (the Galaxy Bar upstairs has better views)

My family and I visited Restaurant 1837 at the Guinness Storehouse.
At the entrance there was a sign clearly instructing guests to wait to be seated. We followed the instructions and waited at the designated reception area.
While we were waiting, we noticed a table for four by the window with a beautiful view of Dublin. Shortly afterwards, a man and a woman walked into the restaurant without waiting at the reception area. They simply stopped to look at the menu. Instead of serving the people who had been waiting, a member of staff approached them and seated them at the window table.
Only after they had been seated did the waiter come to us and tell us that we had to wait in the designated waiting area—even though that is exactly where we had been standing the whole time.
As a result, my family, including our child, was seated in a corner with no view at all.
This completely spoiled our experience. We had been looking forward to enjoying lunch with the famous panoramic view, but after what happened, I no longer felt like ordering the Guinness I had planned to try.
I later spoke with the manager, who apologized and kindly offered us a complimentary item. I appreciated the apology, but by then the experience had already been ruined.
My disappointment is not about not getting the window table. It is about the fact that the restaurant’s own seating rules were not applied equally. We respected the process and waited our turn, while other guests who ignored the waiting procedure were seated before us.
I hope the restaurant reviews its seating process so that all guests are treated fairly and consistently.

Simply delicious, definitely worth a visit if you're doing a tour of the Storehouse.
We were there for lunch on a Saturday around 12:30. There was plenty of space, and we didn't need a reservation.
Very attentive service—we were allowed to change tables when our neighbors, who were eating by the window, finished and left.
We will definitely come back when we are in Dublin and visit the Guinness Storehouse again.

It was our first day in Dublin for our first day in Ireland, and obviously the Guinness Storehouse was on our list of things to do. What we didn't know was that the 1837 Bar restaurant was also here. It was an easy decision since we were already on site. The staff was absolutely terrific in both their service and friendliness. Something for everyone on the menu and plenty of drinks to choose from. We cannot recommend enough the steak sandwich and Guinness beef stew. However what's not on the menu and is included with your meal as long as your by the window is an outstanding view of the city and some feathered friends to visit you during your meal. This is a must stop in our opinion while visiting the Guinness storehouse.

A 'must see' if you are in Dublin. Admittedly, it is super commercial, but that doesn't detract from the experience. And hey, the view from the Gravity Bar with a Guinness in your hand: amazing!
