Brasserie in Waterford

What a wonderful welcome! The place was clean, cozy, and well-organized, and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. I ordered the famous Irish stew, and it certainly didn't disappoint….it was absolutely delicious! A very pleasant experience.

During our stay in Dublin, we ate at the 1837 Bar & Brasserie in the Guinness Storehouse – and to be honest, we weren't expecting such good food at such a tourist attraction. I had the prawns on sourdough toast with smoked lemon, samphire, Dublin Bay prawns, and garlic butter, served with mushy peas and seaweed salted fries. I also had the house salad and mushroom potato. And what can I say? It was absolutely delicious. The prawns were superb, the mushy peas wonderfully creamy, and the salad was a real surprise. Very fresh with a pleasantly subtle dressing – just enough so that the ingredients could still taste of something and not just the dressing. I especially loved the open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant. You can watch the chefs at work, and it makes the whole place feel anything but like your typical touristy restaurant. A definite recommendation from me. If you're already at the Guinness Storehouse, I would definitely recommend eating here.

A must see in Dublin... Very well decorated and informative place of the Guinness history and truly the best drafted Guinness beer I have ever drinked at their wonderful rooftop bar... Really nice and recommend... Top.

Love this place! The ultimate stake sandwich is probably the best steak sandwich I have eaten in my life; and I have eaten plenty!! The chargrilled sirloin combined with crispy onions, horseradish mayo, and pepper sauce on a sourdough baguette just melts in your mouth. DELISH!! The fries paired well and were hot and fresh with a great flavor. I’m just hungry thinking about!!

5/5. Stopped into 1837 Bar & Brasserie at the Guinness Storehouse and went for the pork belly from the Land menu, paired with a West Indies Porter. The pork belly was excellent — exactly the kind of rich, hearty dish you want alongside a darker beer. The West Indies Porter was a great match and probably made the meal for me. Plenty of flavour without overpowering the food, and a much more interesting pairing than simply going for the standard Guinness. Considering you’re eating inside one of Dublin’s biggest tourist attractions, I wasn’t necessarily expecting the food to be a highlight, but this absolutely delivered. Pork belly and a West Indies Porter. Hard to fault that combination. Service was prompt with a nice window view.

Visit to Guinness, very beautiful environment 🤩💯 must try..

The restaurant, which requires reservations, is located on the fifth floor of the Guinness Storehouse. If you arrive before your visit, you can get your tickets and go directly to the store after your meal. The prices are reasonable, the service is good, and the menu is varied. It's a nice, quiet place, which is unusual.

Great local food inside the Guinness museum, recommended

The bar is beautiful, inside the Guinness building. You absolutely have to book. The food is fantastic and the service was excellent. After your meal, you can check out the Guinness interactive exhibit or go up to the terrace to enjoy the city skyline with a beer. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Dublin! ❤️
