14/08/2025: I booked a room at Davitt’s last minute to escape a terrible Airbnb and I am so glad I did! The room was large and comfortable, the bed was cosy, and breakfast was excellent with really friendly service. When I first walked into the room, I noticed the extractor fan noise from the restaurant below. I am guessing it’s to vent smoke and cooking smells. I wasn’t sure if it would keep me awake, but closing the windows helped, and when I came back from my evening out, the fan was off. I slept really well, and while it was on again in the morning, I’m not sure when it started as it never disturbed me. The room was on the warm side but there was a fan provided, which was great, although it could do with a dust. I even tried cleaning it myself using the in-room hair dryer. The bathroom was clean and spacious with excellent shower pressure. I even took a bath, which I rarely do, and the bath and shower gel provided was lovely. Shampoo was provided but no conditioner, which was an interesting choice, but not a big issue. The location was perfect, and there were no problems getting in after the doors were locked at night. One small thing: when I came back during the day, the cleaners had been in and did an excellent job, but they had left my room unlocked. It wasn’t a huge worry as I hadn’t left anything valuable out and only other guests can access the corridor, but it is something to keep in mind. Overall, it was miles better than my Airbnb experience. Comfortable, well located, and with a delicious breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

11/08/2025: We went there on a busy night and the staff quickly found us a table. We got three very different dishes and they all tasted amazing. Excellent service, attentive staff and a lively atmosphere

21/08/2025: Came with a friend and we shared 4 different starters all fab . Duck confit , barata salad and calamar all Excellent . Of course the famous chicken wings . Atmosphere lovely . Staff attentive but no in your face . Had a lovely evening .

20/08/2025: Food has improved a lot, very enjoyable. Front of house staff extremely welcoming. Unfortunately our particular waitress was very unfriendly, and seemed to forget about us after mains so we had to go find someone to get dessert menus after waiting a long time. The bill had extra items on it which had to be amended.

13/07/2025: We drove 30 minutes to get coffee for a birthday we arrived at 2:40 and went to the coffee hatch to get takeaway coffees. we were waiting to order when a waitress came up to the hatch and said sorry we are done for the day and proceeded to close the hatch in my face I said are you sure we can't get coffees it's says your open till 3 the woman who I presume owned it butted in and attacked me she was very passive aggressive and made me feel uncomfortable she started speaking in a raised tone and gave a speach about how they ran out of ice, we're closed for the day and so on. I think that's completely unbelievable I am certain they would have an ice machine and there were people finishing up their meal so would not be closing till they finished anyway I am absolutely appalled at their service and will never be back and severely recommend avoiding this spot! Worst service ever

26/06/2025: Place was busy so we had to wait a few minutes, however the server/owner not have been more helpful. Small but quality menu. Food arrived promptly and was plentiful. Would recommend either the breakfast focaccia or the tuna melt. Well worth visiting if ever in Kinsale, will be back again!

06/08/2025: At a time when pubs are closing or disappointing in the UK this place demonstrates how they should be run. Top notch service, ambience and drinks. A perfect way to end a long day in Dublin.

03/08/2025: Lovely cozy atmosphere and great service. The lamb shank and the burger were exquisit. My friend and I loved it. An excellent Irish pub. We highly recommend it !

09/08/2025: Top marks for McSwiggans.The food was excellent, highly recommended the seafood chowder, lamb shank, fish and chips and the sticky toffee pudding! Cocktails were great too. Our server was lovely and the space is very well designed. Good for groups of all sizes.

08/08/2025: A restaurant in downtown Galway where we ate incredibly well. Two first courses: a shank with a mouth-watering sauce and an exceptional Atlantic cod. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

20/07/2025: Delicious food, friendly and efficient staff, lots of gluten free options as I'm coeliac, great value for the amount of food you get. The roast is delicious. Very family friendly. Place spotless and lovely beer garden where you can bring your dog .
