13/04/2025: This place feels like one of those restaurants that has made a decision to get to the top spot on Tripadvisor by playing to the tourist (read American) crowd and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It just feels a bit off.
And while the customer service is superb, the food is pretty average, simple fare done well (aside from a rocket leaf salad obsession) but nothing to write home about in all honesty, so 4 out of 5 felt a fair compromise between service and the food.

The room was spotless,the food and breakfast were cooked to perfection and the welcome and service from the staff was outstanding.Kenmare remains a jewel but Davitts is the place to stay.

Dined here Sunday the 6th and only found it by using Google reviews so knew straight away we were in for a treat.
Chicken wings are beautiful and crispy, soup was beautiful and the brown bread was absolutely delicious, Had the Fish and Chips which was beautiful also.
Two beautiful ladies served us who were so nice and welcoming.
Looking forward to visiting here again some time in the future.
04/04/2025: We ate chapiñon soup, accompanied by bread, both very delicious things. We also ate Fis lohen chips, in my opinion it would be better if the potatoes were not frozen.

31/03/2025: Amazing dining experience for graduation dinner, the service was excellent from start to finish, all the staff were friendly and attentive, the food was brilliant, would highly recommend the stir fry with prawns, portion sizes were great as well, cocktails were fab, overall a really enjoyable experience, we will definitely be back.

20/03/2025: 4th hotel in this price range for us travelling around southern Eire and this was far superior. Big room, comfortable king bed, nice shower instead of grotty tub, Nespresso machine. Absolutely delicious Beef bourguignon and Risotto for dinner and excellent breakfast with a great view on the River. 5 stars for a 4 star hotel

17/04/2025: We stopped off here on the way to Westport. Delicious Irish food, everything was very tasty and it had a nice atmosphere. It was very dark but had nice Easter decorations. Would definitely recommend!
10/04/2025: Called in on the way home and found a place we will return to.
Excellent food and a great selection of dishes starters, mains and desserts as well as specials.
Nice atmosphere and I'm sure it would be a place to stay and have a drink after finishing your food.
Plenty of room and lots of tables.

03/04/2025: This was my 3rd time here with my sister. We went in around 12.30 I ordered some kind of Deise burger meal and my sister ordered fish. The food came out straight away which was a giveaway. The burger was like 3 chicken dippers real processed dry in a bun it was definitely a reheat the fish was the same . Put me off won't go or recommend this place again such a pity as it was nice before

- Food and service was fantastic
- Guinness and Smithwicks were top notch
- Music on both Friday and Saturday was amazing, excellent musicians
- Atmosphere was great
All round a fantastic pub!
