18/01/2026: Great pub with an amazing atmosphere and really good music. The place feels lively and welcoming, perfect for enjoying a drink with friends and soaking up the local vibe. A special mention to the waitress, Marina, who was incredibly kind and attentive. She made us feel very welcome and definitely added to the overall experience. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a pub with good energy, great music, and friendly service.

25/10/2025: This was our first and last experience at this place. We ordered calamari, and they brought us eight rings of calamari fried in stinking, stale oil, and a huge salad of stale vegetables! We paid 15€ for a stale salad 😳 and rancid oil! And yes, the beer was delicious, and so was the sea view, but that's about it! The service was terrible; they brought forks, knives, and napkins and threw them on the table, Without even wiping the table of grease and crumbs. Only the location and beautiful view save this establishment.

22/10/2025: Location was wonderful. the staff was very kind and tried to be as helpful as possible… Rooms were very outdated, extremely dusty/musty, beds very uncomfortable, Wi-Fi didn’t work half the time & AC was broken with inability to be fixed. The room also smelled terribly of a nursing home which did not dissipate at all with our windows open for two days.

21/10/2025: Such a great spot! I was visiting Galway for a few days with my family, and we could not have picked a better location. All the staff were so kind. Henrique at reception in particular was incredibly helpful and very fun to converse with.

15/12/2025: This place is awful. The food is terrible, service is worse and it's expensive. We ordered the burger and vol au vent and they were horrible. The salads are bland and disgusting. The server was rude, clueles and didn't even know what lager beer was, so we drank water. Please avoid this place. It was just horrible. I made sure to tell our tour guide never to recommend this place again. In fact, don't bother going to Kilkenny at all. It's not worth it.

03/10/2025: Stopped for a coffee on the way to Rosapenna. We needed a caffeine boost and found the perfect spot. A lovely sunny Sunday afternoon and this place was busy! Always a good sign. One staff member on duty behind the counter so had to wait a little while. We had our coffees and some cake outside in the courtyard area, enjoying the Autumn rays 😎 Great experience Would recommend 👌

26/11/2025: Loved this spot. After a long day of walking in the national park had a great meal. Ordered a bottle of wine and two 3-course suppers for under one hundred euros. Food was excellent. Service was very cordial. Would recommend.

29/12/2025: We had a lovely dining experience from start to finish. The food is amazing, the flavours and taste we were delighted. Everything was delicious and so was the wine. The staff were also very approachable and efficient, we actually didn't have a reservation and I know this place books out so I was delighted when we thought there would be no chance of getting a table and there was. I am excited also as Gary the chef came out and told me how to make the soup, such hearty warming foods and I'm going to try mimic it now myself. no thickening agency's or any flour added to soup so I was even further pleased. Im going to try the soup for my children as I believe they will devour it as we did our meal in the boathouse last night. Thank you all.

22/12/2025: Was there last night for a birthday meal in the booth. gave 5 stars for the room but only used the restaurant. Have stayed in the hotel before so I know it’s great. The Mabel Crawford Bistro is beautiful, fantastic food and even better staff. 10/10 can’t wait to go back

21/12/2025: Shared a table with friends we couldnt pay separately so one had to pay for us all we had to sort payments afterwards this is awkward .and doesn't happen often in restauraunts very inconvenient one person is left with the whole bill which is just terrible no thanks

19/12/2025: A very busy spot but definitely worth the wait. The food was delicious. I got the Korean beef & rice dish, my mom got the goats cheese quiche with salads, a kids goujons and chips and a very expensive baby bowl. Everything was very nice, however, €5.50 for a baby bowl is the most I've ever been charged. Nevertheless, I can't fault the service, taste of the food and presentation.

09/11/2025: For visitors to Navan, I'll clarify that the establishment has two areas: the pub proper and a separate restaurant. The former looks simple and suggests that patrons are there for a drink (and why else?). The restaurant is a contrasting experience, perfectly suited for families with children. The food is quite decent, so if you're looking for a simple meal without touching any alcohol, the establishment offers that option as well. In the restaurant area, the only clue that The Round O Bar is a pub is the few beer taps on the bar. The menu isn't particularly specific, offering an international, but most importantly, delicious selection of dishes. I ordered a Viennese burger and was pleased. My companions weren't disappointed either, despite some initial skepticism from one of them. Incidentally, we also drank beer.
