13/09/2026: Great new addition to Dalkey! Popped in here with my partner and daughter this evening for a bite to eat. We had burgers, wings, chips and the youngest was delighted with the soft serve ice cream! Beautiful cocktail menu, lovely friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. A big step up from what it was before. Well done guys, look forward to coming back!

07/09/2026: We had our day 2 of our wedding here. Couldn't have enjoyed it more. The staff were fantastic, the food was beautiful and the atmosphere was amazing. Couldn't recommend it more. Thanks again to everyone for making our day extra special.

22/08/2026: We had a superb meal! Both the fish and chips and the mussels from the local fjord were simply delicious. The perfect place to refuel after a strenuous day of hiking in the mountains of western Ireland.

08/09/2026: The Ale Battered Smoked Haddock Fish and Chips is unique - not too smokey, just downright a very tasty delicious twist that makes me want come back again and have this meal! The Lamb Stew was also delicious. Service and atmosphere at O' Shea's Merchant were excellent!

07/09/2026: Our first evening in Dublin and we found this diamond of kitchen. Smoked and fresh fish chowder, Irish Stew with Lamb and Guinness Bread, a wonderful burger with chips, 2 Pints of Guinness and a friendly and nice service. See you tomorrow for Full Irish Breakfast. 27/08/2026: Arrived here without a booking at 8.00pm. We got seated immediately and had a very nice meal. Both Short Ribs and Red Curry are highly recommended. Maybe next time we will try the meal deal for 2 9oz steak dinner with bottle of wine for €75. We were told by the manager that a lot of customers bring the bottle away with them so they don't drink and drive.

10/08/2026: Great food options and the meals we had were flavourful, fresh and generous portions. The restaurant's decor and different seating areas are nicely decorated and can see it being used for different events. Staff were attentive, and efficient. Great experience overall.

08/09/2026: We came to Barry's to celebrate our 40th anniversary. It was so memorable. The manager, Matre`D ,,Chef and his assistant were amazing. The Matre D reserved us a secluded quiet table and offered spectacular service. I had requested my wife's favourite soup ahead and it was made impeccably. The entrees were wonderful and the Best you could find anywhere. The manager offered very knowledgeable information for a choice from their extensive whiskey and cordial selection. This and the scrumptious desserts made for a 15 out of 10 celebration for our evening.

18/05/2026: Stayed here with my parents to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. The team couldn't do enough for them, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Ross carried all their luggage from the car to their room - both parents have walking sticks. Leanne was also a smiling helpful lady. Karen our waitress had such a lovely way with her and kept the one liners coming which charmed my parents. They love the banter! The rooms were fantastic, comfortable, well appointed and recently refurbished. The supervisor at breakfast was excellent too, we didn't catch his name but he was another real asset. We caught him about to head out to the car with my parents luggage in the rain, just stopped him in time - we had coats he didn't! This has got to be the friendliest hotel in ireland! Well done everyone, you aced the customer journey 👏🏻

15/08/2026: Perfection from start to finish. If you are in the area, you must come here, you are given VIP treatment with delicious food. All the staff are friendly attentive and make sure you are well looked after. They offer a great selection of wines, cocktails and beers and the manager is extremely friendly and explains all the dishes. All the fish dishes are amazing but if you like steak they also provide top notch dishes. I am definitely coming back.

21/06/2026: The food is very good, The service is perfect and masterful and the setting lovely too! Anything the blond and my fussy brats wanted was no trouble and for the first time, my kids talked about the food on our table, (we all sampled each others) rather than burying their heads in their phones as usual!
