11/10/2025: Very pretty location and friendly service. We got in pretty late and left very early the next day so didn’t get much time to enjoy the hotel. We were traveling on our honeymoon and the hotel left us a nice little dessert plate. Really my only complaint was that the room was pretty warm and from what we could see from searching all over the room there was no AC, so we kept the windows open.

11/10/2025: We stayed for one night. The room was nice and modern, and the bed was very comfortable. The garden surrounding the hotel was beautiful. I can't say anything good about the breakfast, though. The staff were very dismissive. The food was cold when served.

29/07/2025: I was very disappointed with the dinner I had in the Granville. Service was extremely slow, had to wait 15 minutes to order while staff stood around and bar was quiet. The staff member who took our order was extremely rude, we weren't told the specials and when I found asked a question, the staff member replied "sure I wouldn't know". My curry was definitely re-heated as there was a skin over it when it came out and the rice was uneatable. It was stuck together and felt it it had been re-heated. Took another 12 minutes to order dessert which was a big let down.

28/07/2025: Great service by Bonnie + Macy. We had delicious fish and chips. Accomodating and friendly. Attentive service, we didn't have to wait long

31/07/2025: Wow, how to begin. The versatility, the charm, the service, Peggy’s Bar and Restaurant truly has it all. There’s a reason it’s often dubbed “The Swiss Army Knife of Restaurants” by those in the local area. Truly worth a visit, your tastebuds will never forgive you if you don’t!

14/10/2025: A hidden gem. Staff very friendly. Food is as good as any pub in country. The biggest shock was how cheap a dinner is at 12 per head and would never forget how accommodating they were. Thank you all

21/09/2025: Absolutely mouth watering, delicious food.. Atmosphere was so warm and inviting, alongside an artificial, but lovely fireplace that set the scene... Staff were amazing from start to finish, could truly not do enough for us. Staff as honourable to there job like this is hard to come across.. Bathroom was clean, well maintained. It is pricey, but you pay for what you get and this lives up to all super standards. Would 💯 recommend this spot for any occasion. Thank you 😊

14/10/2025: Dungarvan is full of great little places and this is a little star amongst them. We had a great meal, great service and very well priced. It is a little tight inside, but that doesn't take away from the experience. Good menu, wine list is a little bit out of date in that there were a few things we asked for they didn't have, but it didn't spoil the experience, great night.

05/10/2025: Eat here previously and wasn't up to scratch, seafood, poor. BUT had steak mash gravy and veg today, it was very very good.

14/08/2025: I stayed overnight in my camper on the car park, thanks to BritStops for helping me discover this hidden gem. Waking up to the stunning valley views. The pub is lively and welcoming, with a fantastic kitchen. Dinner was absolutely delicious – generous portions, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The bar offers a wide selection of drinks, and the staff give great advice to help you choose something you’ll love. Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive, freshly prepared and hearty, the perfect start to the day. While I didn’t stay in one of the rooms, I was kindly allowed to use the shower in the morning – much appreciated! Friendly service, great food, and a beautiful setting make this a place I’d gladly return to.

14/08/2025: We had an absolutely wonderful time at The Glenmalure Lodge. The food was exceptional - the lamb was exquisite and cooked to perfection, with generous portions that left us completely satisfied. What truly made our visit special was the incredibly welcoming and helpful staff. Their warm hospitality went above and beyond our expectations. As an extra touch of kindness, they even allowed us to park our motorhome overnight in their car park free of charge, which was greatly appreciated. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and genuine Irish hospitality makes The Glenmalure Lodge a true gem. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Thank you to all the staff for making our visit so memorable!

25/08/2025: We had a wonderful experience yesterday when the Oar restaurant enabled us to host 32 guests for lunch to celebrate a big birthday. Everything was thought of. We had the menu in advance so that we could reorder. The staff were helpful and friendly. Everyone raved about their food. The vegetarians were happy! Thank you to all of the staff for making this a very happy and memorable family event. Oh, and the views are sublime, the best in Crosshaven.

23/09/2025: Great atmosphere and live music. Prices appropriate for the area.

23/09/2025: A historic pub, ranked as one of the best. The problem is that the prices are truly exorbitant.

14/10/2025: Had Brunch here and it was all wrong. The fish tacos said they were cod goujons and came out as pieces of cod that had enough Cajun spice for the entire of New Orleans. The chicken and waffles said maple syrup and came out with golden syrup which is not the same. The chicken was flavourless and waffles could be used as a hockey pucks. Wouldn't recommend for lunch anyway.
