Old Arch in Claremorris

We found it unexpectedly. Among the restaurants we'd tried, Topas was closed, and we weren't interested in Japanese or Indian cuisine. The GPS returned nearby restaurants with decent ratings. Everything exceeded our expectations. We were greeted very warmly and allowed to take our table. There were plenty of people, but not too many. It wasn't noisy, and the music was pleasant. The interior was beautiful with candles. The other patrons looked very dignified. Even a group of priests (8 of them) showed up, speaking mostly Italian. The dishes were excellently prepared and plentiful. We stumbled upon this place spontaneously, without a reservation. We're sure we'll be visiting this establishment more often from now on.

Place is very good and the ambience. The service was perfect and all the food we ordered was great. The steak and the roast beef an the others apart from the seafood chowder. And honestly, its the worst seafood chowder we ever had, there was nothing in it, there was only few like 3 mussels in it and cream, no taste at all. I hope they'll improve the recipe. We even mentioned it in the waiter but no comment. Sorry.

We had such a fantastic experience. The staff helped me plan an amazing surprise menu, and we were seated in the Snug area, which was absolutely brilliant. It felt really private and made the whole occasion even more special. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent throughout. I had been emailing the manager, Ivan, beforehand to organise everything, and nothing was ever too much trouble. He and the team were incredibly helpful from start to finish. Thank you so much to everyone involved. We will definitely be back. 10/10!

A fabulous Bistro with wonderful staff and delicious food

Thank you to the very kind member of staff (unfortunately I don’t know her name) who was understanding, patient and caring. Made us feel very welcomed today myself and 3 other individuals who were on a social outing as part of community support group. It certainly makes a difference to go that extra mile and to make everyone feel comfortable and included, a huge thank you your kindness and understanding are much appreciated. Thanks again.

Good food, nice staff and a cozy seating area!

Nothing short of excellent We were there as part of a small family gathering and the staff truly went out of their way. The food portions were large, everything was cooked to perfection and served by very professional people. Couldn't recommend it more True hospitality

Just had a light snack , food good, staff efficient and friendly ,toilets very clean overall excellent
