Glas in Dublin

What a wonderful experience! The food and service were exceptional from start to finish. Every dish was beautifully presented, with incredible flavors that made each course memorable. I’m so glad we had the chance to experience Glas it was truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Dublin. Thank you, Chef, for such an unforgettable dining experience!

The restaurant is adorable, calm, on a beautiful street. The drinks were delicious and well made. The service was stellar. However, while the food was initially pleasing to the eye, upon tasting it my fiance and I realized something was deeply wrong. The flavors were mismatched, bitter, and overall nauseating. Most dishes were difficult to finish. The vegetables themselves were cooked well, but then inexplicably smothered in increasingly bizarre and unpleasant sauces and garnishes. Sometimes it felt as though they added things because the words sounded artful on the menu, but the final effect was nothing short of inedible. For example a crumble underneath the oyster mushrooms that tasted like tobacco and sand. Then a main dish that had a thick white sauce that I'm certain was made of just water and cornstarch, with no flavor at all, which if truth be told was preferred to some of the flavors I had to endure previous to it. We were also under the impression the main vegetable would come with at least a noticeable portion of rice, potatoes, or anything which might sate the appetite but this was not the case. The beet root dish amounted to one small beet, however artfully served. The dessert was a burnt creme brulee which was bruleed to the point of blackness and an admittedly tasty ice cream which was for no reason at all served on top of some sort of sour pickles. The meal cost us 90 each all in all and I would accept the small amount of food if it were easy to eat, but unfortunately it was difficult to finish even the small amount served. It seems as though they once had a highly skilled chef, but he must have quit and been replaced by a drunk dishwasher.

All the dished I tried (artichoke mousse and fennel) were great, but the creme brulee was astounding. Worth visiting for it alone!

This was a surprise resturant for vegetarians. Great ambiance and stuff was friendly. I will happily visit again.

Meat loving vegetarian curious foodie here. If you want to give vegan a try, just start here - at the top! We had such a wonderful experience at Glas. So much thought and love has gone into sourcing, taste and presentation for each dish. First class friendly attentive service, the food as tasty as it was healthy. The Albariño was lovely too. We could not recommend this place highly enough. Top shelf stuff.

Phenomenal (mostly) plant-based, 100% gluten-free food with fantastic service and the coziest interior. Oh, and it's affordable to boot. 10/10, no notes!

I’m not a vegetarian nor a vegan, yet I loved every dish both times I made a visit. Coming again and like the first time, just as surprised and pleased since they seem to have seasonal menus. Staff were very polite and knowledgeable about their menu, explaining to us what every dish was composed like. Great selection of wines to be paired with their menus, everything seems to be really well thought of, even the cheeseboard is great. With this level of creativity, care and consistency put into their menus, the pricing doesn’t feel unfair and I left quite satisfied with their 3 course set. I’ll definitely be coming back for another visit.
