16/02/2026: Great café for breakfast, with the famous Irish coffee that gets your day off to a flying start! There are very few seats, so arrive early or be prepared to wait. The service inside is so efficient that it doesn't take long.

16/02/2026: We hunted for a proper Irish Breakfast experience and found EXACTLY what we we sought. The Stage Door Café is a cozy spot in the Temple Bar area, slinging stellar food and exceptional experiences. From the sound of food sizzling nearby, to the new friends we met through table- sharing, and the quick-witted, sometimes cheeky quips from our server, Graham... we were having a blast before the food even arrived. The flavor and quality of the food are enough to explain why there's always a line out the door, but the atmosphere adds another dynamic element to the experience. Can't say enough great things about this place. Make the time to stop in for the food and the coffee! And while you're there, order the Irish Breakfast.

18/02/2026: I love going for dinner here. We tend to keep it for special occasions. As always the food was delicious! Excellent service from the staff, they are all very polite and curious. Excellent value for money. I would highly recommend Brook Inn!!

17/01/2026: We have heard some amazing things about this place it just wasn’t great it was so so loud they had a piano belting if you are elderly or sensitive to loud noise it is not a great place but the food wasn’t that bad it just doing taste good but I will try for breakfast that menu looks nice

13/03/2026: I visited this place to celebrate my sons bday. The atmosphere was lovely. The restaurant rooms are bright and full of greenery. 4 of us ordered shared starters, main course each and 2 shared deserts. We paid 200 euro and I felt that the extra charge for the staff was a bit too much. The food was great but not outstanding taking into consideration that the price for the meal was quite high. Overall good experience but quite expensive.

12/03/2026: What a find we both fell in love with this random quirky Inn. The staff are fantastic so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious 😋 we had tasty soup for lunch, Wednesday night the restaurant is not open which was disappointing but they do a pizza night and it was yummy loved it 😋 the full coach house breakfast was the best ever 😋

02/03/2026: Nice café near the pier in the pretty country Louth village of Omeath. Good coffee and tasty cakes. Nice helpful service. Seating indoors and out.

17/02/2026: Initially, I went to The Bleeding Horse today while I was waiting for my family to arrive in Dublin. The fish and chips were below average and I figured that would be the safe meal for any restaurant in Dublin, but I was wrong! It looked great but was one star quality at best!… I have had subpar food before so I didn’t initially judge The Bleeding Horse because bad food can happen to any restaurant… What I was most disappointed with was when I left when my family arrived and returned within an hour for drinks, the bouncer and the manager denied me entry for dress code even though I told them that I was just there in the exact same outfit 1 hour prior. This is not an upscale restaurant that requires a dress code. There were people inside the restaurant with similar outfits as me. The entire situation felt sleazy and I HATE that I spent any money at the Bleeding Horse!

28/10/2025: They do a great carvery with a very good choice, portions are decent so make sure you go in with an appetite.

06/03/2026: The chef working the kitchen on the 5th of March seriously needs a lesson in cooking steak. I asked for medium-rare and got very rare—barely cooked. I ate about two-thirds of it before I couldn’t convince myself to keep going, so I got the rest put in a takeaway box for the dogs. Best part being the place itself, it’s very well designed and looks nice My missus got a smash burger which was poorly cooked as well. The food is robbery for the price, and I’m kicking myself today that we even went. Do better, guys—it’s a local restaurant in Blackrock, not a Michelin-star place. The staff are nice, but there’s really no need for the amount of them there. Won’t forget this €93 whole in my wallet

19/02/2026: Called in for a drink, possibly an early dinner. However, we were not impressed by one senior staff member yelling at the younger ones, loudly and publicly, nor their fawning over the "owner" sitting at the bar, who also spoke quite arrogantly to a customer. (Not us btw, just unpleasant to watch). And obviously, by his replies to other unfavourable reviews. Went elsewhere as there are plenty of pubs around with friendly and respectful staff.

14/02/2026: I am writing this review in the hope that something will improve. This gastro pub used to be a nice place to eat, but over the past 1.5 years the food quality has declined to an unacceptable level. We first visited two years ago for my birthday and everything was great. I returned a couple of times after that, and it was still good. However, during a later visit we were served overcooked pasta and low-quality food, so we decided not to go back. We recently gave it another chance after 1.5 years, but nothing has improved. The schnitzel and braised beef were dry and overcooked, the tomato sauce was unpleasantly sour, and the onion was undercooked and crunchy. The whole dish lacked basic flavour. I won’t be back.

13/01/2026: Its a NO for me. Staff very slow and rude. A group of us (10 ppl) came here to celebrate my daughters bday. Left down by the poor service. Felt totally unwelcomed and had to ask for everything several times from the start to the end. I know it was a busy Christmas time, but we were early enough and it wasnt even busy. Wont be back and certanly cant recommend.
