14/03/2026: Really Great food and service! Went to watch the rugby and the one TV wasn’t working. Then we asked if the sound for the TV could be turned on inside to watch the rugby and was told owner doesn’t allow this. The sound for TV was on outside and they did have heaters. Just an FYI if you wanting to watch rugby.
08/03/2026: Wonderful place to go and enjoy music. Some excellent cover bands play here

21/04/2026: 2026 and we have come back again. Still, as ever, Gibney's doesn't disappoint. The food was very tasty and value for money. The staff are excellent, warm and friendly (everything you expect from the Irish people). It is a place we are always looking forward to visiting on our trips to Ireland. This time it was in an evening and quite busy, a little claustrophobic and noisy but what do you expect from a popular drinking establishment! Still worth it

Busy spot and reasonably clean.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Chicken Burger was just amamzing 😍 🔥.
Wings were truly delicious l. I ordered hot sauce wings. My wife went with soup of the day , mushroom soup. Let me tell you, haven't had such soup any where in Dublin. My friends ordered veg fajita and stir fry those were awesome and worth the bite.

24/02/2026: Went here for my granddad's birthday. The food was great. However, for some strange reason, we weren't allowed to eat the cake in there. Which is odd because it's basically like eating a dessert which is something I never experienced before. But anyhow, it is what it is, I suppose. Aside from that, everything was great. We, ll, definitely be back.

16/04/2026: Just got charged 8 euro for a bowl of vegetable soup!!!!!! Just ordinary, everyday vegetable soup! Probably the most expensive bowl of soup in Galway. Fortunately, I'm in job where I can encourage visitors to Galway not to visit this establishment. Shameful and shameless robbery.

It was the best we've ever had.
The staff were lovely; one of them spoke perfect Spanish.
The burger was also delicious.

14/04/2026: They close at 10pm but they still allowed us to enter at around 9.10pm. Which I am very grateful for, as some of places we went to did not allowed us to sit in.
Prices was very reasonable and portion was huge. The taste suited my palate.
Service was first class as well.
Probably will go back again tonight as I’m in Killarney for 2 nights.
06/04/2026: Highly recommend! Thoroughly enjoyed, excellent service. Supper attentive! Very clearly run by a family that LOVES what they do!
