28/08/2026: We loved the live performance and the food was honestly amazing. (Burger and hummus bread) Service was really quick especially for how packed the place was and kind. Cocktails were a bit watery but everything else was lovely

28/08/2026: The place is impressive. Everyone had good food, but this place feels more like a bar that does food, than a restaurant that serves drinks. It felt like an impressive weatherspoons than anything upmarket. I'd suggest going for drinks or a daytime bite.

15/07/2026: Had a wonderful experience here! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal. Excellent service, great food, and a lovely overall experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place!

05/09/2026: The service was absolutely amazing and epic. Friendly, fast, efficient... cannot complain one bit about the staff. My issue was with the food. I ordered wings as a main and the wings were overly dry and lacking in any flavour. The rest of the party ordered the beef lasagna and that was utterly brilliant. It was voiced garlic bread with cheese would have been a better side than the chips. We requested chips as the side to each meal. Chips were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside lovely!

05/09/2026: The teach is famous in Carlow for consistently providing good service and meals with knowledgeable staff and skilled chefs. But the introduction of the specials board has shaken things up with new choices and delicious food. I had the ribeye steak with sauté mushrooms and onions, French fried onion in tempura batter, cherry tomatoes and a delicious Guinness and tarragon butter. The steak was mouth watering tender cooked perfectly and every month full was a joy. Thanks Teach we will be back.

19/08/2026: We stumbled upon this place today while driving the Ring of Kerry and were thrilled! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was very friendly and welcoming (but they won't be there much longer 😭). Highly recommended!!!

16/09/2026: This place is just stunning , beautiful gardens and lots of history, the garden staff are so helpful too stopping and giving us info we even manged to speak to the owners who also shared talks with us explaining some things and sharing stories it really is a fantastic place with a great atmosphere, the science rooms are great for kids too highly recommend

15/09/2026: Beautiful gardens and you could see the telescope 🔭 It was made in the 19th century and was the biggest in the world for 70 years! Also it was the first device to see other galaxies!

23/08/2026: Asked if ok with dog, ladysaid mot normally, but made exception. Once sat and ordering food was told by second person dogs not allowed, but we cpuld stay. Though if anyone came in & objected we would have to take dog out. Throughout breakfast there was a frosty attitude from server. Having saod this food was excellent, and place nice & clean. May have been easier of not ket dog in to start with.

16/08/2026: A beautiful small café with extraordinarily good food. We stumbled across this gem accidentally, and will come back the next time we happen to be in the area... Very friendly staff, lovely selection of food. Remember to bring cash!

12/07/2026: Enjoyed our stay, friendly staff, comfy beds & everything spotless. Air conditioning was very welcome but no fridge in room. Food lovely in bar

03/06/2026: Lovely hotel with ample parking and facilities. Great food and drink offerings on site. Some improvements could be made to the consistency of housekeeping (shower gel left empty for 2 days, despite detaching it from the wall and leaving it in a prominent place; loo roll and tea/coffee not replenished on one day). Would stay here again for a Dublin trip.

10/09/2026: We stumbled across this place on a whim for a quick bite and absolutely loved it. The restaurant is beautifully maintained, elegant, and charming. We ordered a dish that was half chowder and half prawn sandwich, and it was delicious. We'll definitely be back because the menu was extensive and featured exceptionally high-quality ingredients.

28/05/2026: Another Irish pub with great food. But like most pubs we've visited, the meals are quite pricey by Canadian standards. But the food here (as with most pubs) is perfectly prepared and nicely presented. One BIG difference in an Irish pub is the speed of service. It seems no sooner do you order than the meal is brought out. And it never tastes like it's been sitting under warming lamps. Unbelievable service. The Brogue in was even faster than others. And I have to mention our waitress, Shauna, who was exceptional. Very attentive, friendly and helpful. All in all, an amazing dinner experience.

28/05/2026: Excellent service, friendly staff who were busy but made sure we were well looked after. We had the black and blue burger and the kingdom burger. Black and blue burger was great, Kingdom burger was fantastic, lots of flavour fresh chicken excellent.

29/06/2026: The little coffee shop 😍 is so good service is fantastic and very good quality food and the prices are very good enjoy coffee ☕️ with beautiful people in the 4 coffee shop 😊 😀

11/07/2026: The food at Hargadon Bros was genuinely delicious. I had the fish and chips and my girlfriend had the burger with avocado, and we’d have no complaints on that front. Unfortunately, the service let the experience down. We were seated in a nook to the left of the room, which was cosy enough but seemed to leave us invisible to the staff, and getting attention took real effort throughout the evening. The low point was dessert: after flagging down a waitress, we ordered and were brought two spoons - but the dessert itself never came. After waiting 20 minutes, I gave up and went looking for someone to bring the bill instead. A waiter did notice the spoons on our table and asked if we’d ordered dessert, but by then we no longer wanted it. Lovely food, but the service needs attention - especially for tables tucked out of sight.

07/07/2026: We arrived naively on a Saturday night when they were very busy and we could not get a table. Most places would say no and that be it. But the extremely nice hostess walked us outside and gave us great recommendations for other places to try. She took the time and effort even thought they were busy inside. You can best believe that we will be coming back here on our next trip and will remember to make a booking here due to their super nice staff and because the food smelled amazing!
