Amazingly friendly staff who offered up great suggestions. Very good food.

The Korean crispy chicken is outstanding. Please not too much mayo. The Malaysian curry is a bit blunt. More spices should be used and less salt.

If you're tired of purely Western-style light meals, besides Chinese food, HOOKED is also one of the options 😆 The restaurant's decor is trendy and suits a young, fashionable taste. Customers keep coming in, so you need to queue for a table; the waiters are polite and friendly, with smiling faces, making people feel welcome 😊 A satisfying brunch 💗

Love this little gem in the heart of Sligo town! Never disappointed!

I wanted this restaurant to live up to the hype and we were super disappointed leaving. The staff greeted us upon entering and immediately led to a table. They took our order in short order and super GF accommodating. It took quite a while to get our food and as we observed it was clear that they were understaffed. The staff were pleasant in their interactions but working running around non-stop doing the best they could- this is a management fail, resulting in below average service. Every plate at our table was well presented but tasted just ok - either tasted like it was missing an ingredient or too many ingredients. The menu and website boast the use of local ingredients and meats - so let the meat be the focus of the meal. The smash burger tasted like a mouth of spices and mush. It was not crispy and you couldn't taste the meat - thats the whole purpose of a smashed burger. The Chick-fil-A sandwich - the chicken was cooked well - tender & juicy but lacked any flavor and did not resemble the flavors of true southern fried chicken or actual Chick-fil-A. The fries were bland and tasted precooked and reheated. Even the Irish Coffee was basic and bland. With all the other options in town, I would pass.

Hooked was a super dining experience. Manager and staff were exceptionally accommodating , particularly for my wife who is coeliac..The choice of gluten free options was excellent and all the food was delicious. We would highly recommend Hooked to anyone but particularly to anyone dependent on a gluten free menu. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing and the setting by the river is indeed very pleasant. It is now our go to place when visiting Sligo. Michael C.

We came for breakfast and all the food was great. We had the bacon and waffles and also the eggs and mushrooms. Both were delicious. Our only issue was the service. We were at the end of a 14 day trip through Ireland. Until we visited Hooked every waiter in Ireland was friendly and happy. Hooked was the one exception. We noted sour faces in all the staff immediately. Our waiter was just standing around avoiding eye contact while many patrons were waving for help. When we were finally able to get his attention, we were treated to a bad attitude and more lethargy.
