13/10/2024: At Donnelly’s of Barna, I tried the Galway Bay Seafood Chowder, and it was delightful. This thick, rich soup paired perfectly with traditional Irish bread, making the dish especially hearty. The chowder became the true highlight of my meal at this cozy café!

27/09/2024: We were on a driving tour of Ireland with friends. Staying at the nearby Glasshouse we were looking for a restaurant for dinner that was close by. The exterior was unpretentious but once inside there was a pleasant ambiance. Service was very attentive and the food was good. I had the tempura prawns as a starter which was huge and very tasty. For main I had the slow cooked beef which was also nice. All our party enjoyed the meal.

17/09/2024: Lively, great staff, great food and drink Only gets better. Top pub in Woodquay Still one of, if not best Pubs in Town. For any sport, this is the pub. Keep getting asked here, has this place changed, yes it has, gets better all the time. Still top class. You can't improve perfection. Still tops. Allways worth a visit.

08/11/2024: Awful, do not go, terrible service. We arrived and ordered wine, then our wine glasses were taken away? Why I have no idea but wine was poured away from the table and tasted like vinegar, we did not finish it. The table next to us had wine poured at the table and asked to taste. Our meal was served much after people who arrived later and I had to go to the bar just to get our drink orders as they were not sent to the table. we would let it slide if the blonde waitress was not so rude, but also while treating the regulars like royalty.

07/11/2024: Completely ignored on several occasions. They acknowledged we were waiting and served other patrons anyway. We walked out.

28/10/2024: I had my first Irish Guinness on tap at West Wicklow House. We have it on tap in the states but it doesn’t compare to Ireland. The food was absolutely delicious, so we ate here multiple times while in Blessington. Great service and atmosphere, can’t wait to visit again!

25/10/2024: Had dinner here with family recently. Going to start at the beginning. Pulled up outside and the music was blaring. Sounded like a disco. In we went and were assaulted by the decor and the tacky looking cocktail bar. I was very unsure. We were seated and as I looked around, I realised that the place looks awful but is spotless. And I mean spotless. The food was good. Simple and straight forward but good, fresh, well cooked food. I wouldn't be going here for a fancy dinner but it's perfect for a bite. It wasn't particularly busy while we were there and there were only 2 people working and they seemed to be under pressure so the service wasn't fantastic. However, the staff were very friendly and they were helpful once we called them over. Long story short, I would eat here again and I was pleasantly surprised despite the offputting first impression.
