06/09/2026: Wouldn’t be one to leave reviews but The Halfway House has some of the nicest staff I’ve ever came across. Brilliant service, lovely food and drink and a top atmosphere to go with it. Always sure to have the sport you crave on the TV and the best tunes to match. Couldn’t recommend more. Well done, lads 🙌

06/10/2026: Staff are very nice and friendly, free parking. However the lamb tasted like mutton, potatoes and broccoli were overcooked and diced carrots were frozen not fresh.

17/10/2026: July 26 we were touring Eire in our campervan. I foolishly made a mistake on a campsite booking and nowhere to stay one night. We were advised to ask Michael Fitzgerald if he would let us stay over in his pub carpark. Michael welcomed us with open arms. I had a lovely evening meal at the pub and we had a few Guinness and a couple of local whiskies. Michael very kindly opened the toilets for us to use in the morning. He did not charge us for our stopover. The carpark was secure with a beautiful view. Overall we had an amazing time at the Junction bar and we highly recommend it. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming too.

20/09/2026: A friendly pub with amazing views over the bay. Live music every Saturday night, not necessarily trad Irish. We enjoyed overnight parking in our motorhome - ask first. Limited but varied food is served.

25/10/2026: Really enjoyed our visit to Herbstreet. Everything we ordered was delicious, and we loved the overall experience. A lovely atmosphere, great food and a place we’d happily come back to. Definitely recommend!

24/10/2026: Herbstreet is just a fantastic spot! They hands down make the best pancakes! I’ve been here over 5 times now and the consistency of food really is amazing.

16/10/2026: The only good thing: the live music is excellent. However, the staff is very unfriendly and the very expensive drinks we ordered were watered down. When we asked the staff about it, they were rude and snappy. Not recommended.

11/10/2026: I got served by the most aura guy in this pub, he so that much charming that all atmosphere is holding on him, drinks made by him is masterpiece of another world…

31/07/2026: This place is an absolute gem! We stayed in one of the 2-bed apartments, which was spacious and well-equipped. We’re staying for three nights for a nearby family wedding, but I had to post this early. On our first night, we decided to have a quiet evening in and eat at the restaurant. The dining experience was sensational—fine dining featuring local produce, accompanied by wonderful, relaxed yet attentive service from start to finish. (The photos of the food speak for themselves, and I can assure you the taste exceeded the presentation!) The summer salad was genuinely the best salad I’ve ever eaten. Thank you to the whole team. I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend a visit to Oar Restaurant & Rooms to anyone in the area or anyone who wants a treat. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere hummed with quiet elegance, the kind that doesn’t need to announce itself. Then came the venison, and truly, it deserves its own standing ovation. Presented with theatrical grace, it stood poised like a bride beneath a chuppah, a culinary ceremony in full swing. Each bite was rich, tender, and deeply expressive of the land, as though the surrounding hills had whispered their secrets directly into the dish. The asparagus risotto followed, glowing with freshness. It arrived adorned with a delicate bouquet of edible flowers, like spring had decided to dress up for dinner. The flavors were vibrant yet comforting, a perfect balance of earthiness and brightness, each forkful unfolding like a small celebration. Service throughout the evening was flawless. Not stiff or overly formal, but warm, intuitive, and genuinely joyful. The kind of service that anticipates your needs before you even realize them yourself. And then, just when we thought the evening had reached its peak, it offered us one more unforgettable moment. When we asked about arranging a taxi, the owner himself came over, introduced himself with effortless charm, and insisted on driving us. Not just anywhere, but to catch the Irish sunset melting into the Atlantic beside the Cliffs of Moher. It felt like being handed the final, perfect note of a symphony. Some restaurants serve great food. This one creates memories that linger long after the plates are cleared.

14/09/2026: The food was okay, but nothing special. The restaurant was very crowded, especially with children, which made it very noisy.

30/08/2026: Excellent food,excellent service. Very reasonably priced. Steak fillet was second to none. I highly recommend Stakes Restaurant.

03/10/2026: Very good fish and chips stop. There was nobody else when we stopped here for lunch but it filled up as we ate. Food, service and vibe were all good!
