07/10/2025: I recently took my Wife to Jim Edwards for lunch on 20th September 2025. From start to finish the experience was fantastic and the quality of both food and service was simply superb. We were staying locally and our hostess informed me that this establishment has been in business for a considerable period, that it is Jim's son who is now in charge and that this pub/restaurant has been operating at a very high level as long as she could remember. Very grateful for a lovely experience and incredible food. Looking forward to visiting again.

02/10/2025: Dropped in for a meal 3 people right from the start it took an age for a waiter to come with the menu order taken twice we had to check where the order was when it eventually arrived it was cold that was the end of the meal we got a small amount of the meal we left disappointed we loved Kinsale

27/09/2025: My three friends and I ate dinner at The Brook Inn last night and absolutely loved it. The food was excellent 👌 I had the Monkfish, scallop & prawn dish 😋 it was cooked to perfection and so good I almost licked the plate clean. Friendly welcoming staff and nice atmosphere. John was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of, will definitely be back.

15/10/2025: Another lovely visit to Rathsallagh for a wedding performance. Friendly and welcoming staff as always. GREAT COFFEE! Lovely gardens to wander through.

22/09/2025: We had our wedding here this weekend and to say it was the best day of our lives is an understatement. The venue, the staff, the ambience, the service and everything about Rathsallagh immensely added to that feeling and experience. Whether it was the glam room set up to kick the day off in style, the guest check in experience, the photos in the walled garden, the extremely high quality food or the coordinators, staff and everyone from Rathsallagh, I don’t think I have ever experienced a better hospitality offering in my life. Huge thank you to the team, and a massive recommendation if you’re looking at wedding venues!

22/08/2025: The choice on the menu was excellent. I had the 8oz steak and my friends had the cod and the salmon after the excellent cabin chicken starters. We were not disappointed in any of the dishes. The staff were excellent and very friendly. A first class dining experience and I would highly recommend an TSúgain to my friends. GRMA

07/09/2025: Had a very enjoyable 3 night stay recently. Very comfortable beds in a beautiful room which had all the facilities required. Breakfast was excellent also the evening meal (salmon) was delicious. The staff are amazing they are so friendly & helpful which adds to the enjoyment. Leonard is the perfect host. We highly recommend this hotel as it is on a par with 4* hotels. We will definitely stay here again. Ann & Mary.

13/10/2025: We stopped into Tatler Jacks for an evening meal whilst in Killarney, my husband had the fish n chips & I had the daily special of Roast Irish lamb with Champ & veggies - the servings were large, the food cooked well & we enjoyed every bite. The staff were all very friendly & offered help in finding me my very first taste of Irish whisky - the whisky menu was HUGE! Later in the evening the music started, the bar filled out to standing room only & we thoroughly enjoyed a great night of Irish craic!

09/10/2025: Went to the restaurant, food was excellent. Service in the beginning was amazing but after we got are food we did wait a bit for refills on our drinks.

17/10/2025: I used to come here with my grandmother as a child so it was important I revisited here. The layout seems different to when I was young but the food tasted the same 😅 the food was good, the service was great and atmosphere here was mellow. Got talking to some locals while having dinner, important I went back to visit one of the first strong women in my life.

27/10/2025: 11/6/25: Great cafe and very welcoming and friendly staff too and where dogs are allowed at the rear under a sheltered roofed area; there are a few other large tables in the yard but these are not protected from the weather.

11/10/2025: Unfortunately we were not pleased with our experience here. The hostess was very kind and the food & drinks were good. Our server must have had a bad night because she was cold and rude to us. We were never offered any water. When she walked up to the table she just asked us if we were ready to order. We each ordered a bar drink and shared an appetizer and side of fries. The bartender brought us our drinks which were good. Someone else brought our food, asked us if we needed anything, we asked for ketchup, and he never returned. Once we were done with our meal, about 10 minutes passed before our server returned. We asked for a milkshake which they had on a sign above the bar at the main entrance. She said they don't make them in the evening, then walked away. We had to flag her down again to ask for the check. We finally just left more than enough cash on the table to cover our meal and left. As far as the restaurant and the atmosphere, this place has the look of an upscale restaurant, but not the actions of such. The bartender was pouring out drinks into the sink quite loudly. There was a dirty dish station right beside our table where the staff was throwing silverware into a bin and loudly clanking dishes into another bin. We were seated near the side door which had a tripping hazard as you entered that should be addressed. We didn’t mind being near the door, but as the door closed each time, it slammed shut. I'm not sure why, but multiple staff members kept going in and out of it many times. In the lounge area beside us, the entertainment for the evening was someone walking around poorly playing their out of tune violin along to pop songs being played on the restaurant speakers. It did not sound good at all. Overall, a disappointing experience for a place that looked like it had some nice potential.

09/09/2025: Hostess (owner) was warm and even made a dish for me that was not on the menu. New and spacious. Not a upscale resteraunt but clean an great food.

17/10/2025: Fish of the day was hammered and sides not as described. So many large parties at other tables was difficult for our deuce to get attention
