14/06/2025: This used to be a great restaurant. Sadly, it’s now closed. A new place with different owners has taken over the location—it's called Koi Palace.

28/05/2025: Was there for dinner with my son @7pm on a Saturday. Lovely cute place with nice decor. The portions were sizeable and delicious. The staff were both attentive & professional. I would definitely recommend 👌

12/08/2025: We had lunch yesterday (Monday) but we believe we got the leftovers of Sunday lunch - potatoes were watery and grey (my wife could ye eat them) I had turkey & ham - ham was bacon and was good, stuffing was ok and the turkey was one small dried out slice - my wife had beef (2 slices) she ate one of the slices and nothing else - roast veg was terrible..

07/08/2025: We "happened upon" McMahon's in Maynooth on our trip from Galway to Dublin. What a GREAT find!!! We walked in with 7 people and were welcomed immediately! The food is great! The menu is very diverse! The people are very nice and the restaurant is quite beautiful ! I totally recommend McMahon's if you're in the area!!

10/08/2025: Outstanding from start to finish! The Purty Kitchen nails flavour, service, and atmosphere. Juicy buffalo wings, melt-in-the-mouth fish & chips, and a rare steak sandwich packed with garlic aioli, smoky tobacco onions, and pepper sauce were unforgettable. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a cosy yet airy setting make this a Dún Laoghaire must visit!

25/07/2025: Buzzing place in South Dublin. Extensive menu, something for everyone. Nice staff, very welcoming. Runs a thin line between pub and restaurant but I think that they get it right. I wish them well. Gig venue upstairs as well so it’s got it all

13/08/2025: Just spent two weeks in Ireland from America and went with two other couples. This was by far and away the girls favorite meal. Food/service/atmosphere were great, but expect to open up your wallet. The scallops were fantastic.

12/08/2025: The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was pleasant. The only complaint was the attention to detail, which was too informal. For the price—almost €50 per person—one would expect more attention to detail.

31/08/2025: Excellent menu with lots of choice. Friendly efficient staff who added to the enjoyment. It was busy but they got a table for us after a short wait at the bar. Recommended.

23/08/2025: The food is actually really good, but way too spicy!!! I had noodles first, but then had to replace the curry for my girlfriend because she can't stand spicy food. The service is terrible. After they brought us an extremely spicy curry, it took an extremely long time to bring bread or something to soften the flavor. Note: There was no mention of "spicy" on the menu!!! They then gave me a sauce that the waiter told me to eat. It was mayonnaise, so the spicy feeling after a spoonful of mayonnaise was mixed with nausea. The bread then arrived what felt like 10 minutes after that, and the waiter had forgotten to bring it three times, basically too late. Then, when I paid, my cash was refused because it was "too big," and my girlfriend had to go and get her money from our car. After the meal, I had a queasy, tingling feeling as I left. At least they gave us the bread, and the water was free, too.

18/08/2025: Lovely, cozy pub with some of the best food I’ve ever had. Got the mussels in the white garlic sauce and they were divine!!!

24/08/2025: A really nice and good restaurant. I had the ribs myself, and they were excellent! The local beer was also very good! It's a bit pricey, but highly recommended!

01/06/2025: Wouldn’t waste your time or your money . Didn’t appreciate the attitude of the senior bar man and the manager was told we were advised not to return to the pub very unprofessional behaviour and made us feel very uncomfortable.

01/08/2025: We had a lovely experience from Helen and staff. Everyone enjoyed the high quality food. Perfect after a day on the river. As someone remarked, the music is there, but not too loud, so you can talk.

20/08/2025: Dropped in of the dual carriageway. We had a really nice home made scone,butter,jam and cream. Very friendly and efficient staff. Interesting if somewhat expensive shop attached with unusual pieces of furniture and art Well worth dropping in for either a snack or something more substantial.
