Gibneys
Malahide
19/05/2026: Amazing grub, generous portion sizes and very tasty!!
19/05/2026: Cool place to grab an ale, a Guinness, or whatever your poison is. Sat at a table where the table was a hollow barrel, leading down into what looked like a hundreds of years old creepy tunnel.
7 years later stopped on fir lunch and got an absolute MASSIVE hunk of fish for my fish and chips, which was quite good.

Harry's at Water Lane
Galway
06/05/2026: Genuinely best burger I’ve ever had. 10/10 no notes.
19/04/2026: We ordered truffle fries, the truffle burger, and the 5 Smash. The meat was good, but it had absolutely no truffle flavor. The fries tasted only of onion. The truffle mayo was sour cream. The burgers were small. We ordered a Coke, they didn't bring it, and they tried to charge us for it. A disappointment.

Bunratty Manor
Bunratty
04/06/2026: Our two night stay was perfect. Professional and welcoming staff, spacious room and very serious food in served up in the restaurant.
03/06/2026: This was the last place we stayed on our trip and they were accommodating. It was a ice place and we even had air conditioning. I wish we could have enjoyed it and the surrounding area a bit more than we had the chance to

Courtyard Cafe at Birr Castle
Birr
14/06/2026: Lovely grounds to walk at your own pace.
10/06/2026: The gardens are very beautiful, but €14 for the gardens alone, without castle admission, is too much. Castle admission is €22, and the guide is exclusively in English. A self-guided castle entry option would be more appropriate.

McHughs Traditional Pub & Restaurant
11/06/2026: We stayed overnight in our Van in the top carpark thanks to the hospitality of the landlord.
The breakfast was amazing 1 full Irish with toast & coffee. 1 eggs benedict & coffee.
The Guiness the evening before was welcome too!
Lovely staff 👌
01/06/2026: This forward-thinking landlord has created a peaceful, level area for RV's and campervans at this lovely pub. My husband was hospitalised leaving me alone with a dog who has fits under stress, in our van. I was'nt able to go every day but I don't know what I would have done without them and their kindness. Thank you.

Byrne & Woods
Roundwood
10/06/2026: The best Guinness I've ever had. No kidding.
10/06/2026: Pub came highly recommended and although the food arrived promptly we twice asked about our drinks which only arrived after we had finished our meal. Also, my Yorkshire pudding was a lump of dough, more suited to a game of baseball. Waitress said she would inform the kitchen, as if it meant anything.
Lovely location on a nice day.

05/04/2026: I had a party for my wife's 50th birthday, and it was fantastic from start to finish. They were very helpful when I emailed them with any questions I had; they answered quickly, and nothing was too much. The service on the day was first-class, and I can't recommend it enough.

Gally's Bar & Restaurant
Tralee
15/05/2026: I was in there on 3rd May 2026 with my family - food was lovely but the bar man was very rude towards my sister when she went to order drinks - the heavy bald fella I'm on about - we were not happy over this and thought about leaving to go somewhere else - in the end we stayed and the rest of the staff were very nice - I had an issue with him too back in November when I went in there on my own - he wasn't very welcoming towards me - please make him aware
22/04/2026: Lovely food , nice and clean and staff were great 👍
