12/02/2026: stayed in the hotel for a couple of nights and dined here. delicious food and cocktails! staff were all beyond helpful and polite. decor is beautiful too, loved the vibes 👏🏻location also excellent as it’s right on the seafront!

05/01/2026: Two of us needed a quick lunch on Saturday. We were lucky enough to be served by the charming and very professional Ian/Jani. He was excellent and gave good advice. We had a coffee and a tea, two bowls of really good chicken soup and tuna melt sandwiches made with soda brown as requested. It was all perfect and quick. We will definitely be back and hopefully when Ian/Jani is on duty. Total price, €31.70 Others were having full meals - steak sandwiches, fish and chips, pasta and the roast of the day. All looked equally good which tells us that McMahons would be a good place to eat at any time. So, I've no doubt, we will be back and hopefully, when Ian/Jani is on duty too.

05/03/2026: A restaurant on its game, fantastic bar service and food, our new stop for catching the ferry going forward, last booking 815pm so worked well for us for tye rest of our journey, would recommend, lovely staff and buzz about the place

18/01/2026: My family and I drive for 40mins to any of the branches to dine on a regular basis , we are in citywest but love the food ,atmosphere and overall experience in GFPs so we just have one problem and thats that they haven't opened on our side of the city yet but definitely worth the tolls, fuel and travel , can't wait to pop back

25/08/2025: Loved both the Lake Hotel and Lakeside Bistro. The location provides amazing views of Killarney mountains and lakes! Service staff was amazing! We had some jet lag the found us awake at midnight. The serving crew, cleaning up the day’s service stopped to makes us a fresh coffee and real cream tray to take back to our room! The food was great and the bar atmosphere was cozy. Only wish the actual bar, itself, held more seats. The room was spacious with great views! Highly recommend it!!

05/07/2025: Really enjoyed our meal. Everything was plated well and was delicious. Dessert was impressive. My wife ordered the tiramisu and I had the pannacotta. Highly recommend both. And you can’t beat the view!

30/09/2025: This place is a good option to stay near Galway, the room is fine, nothing special very simple and require some basic renovation, our stay was pleasant but for what we payed we probably could find something much better and closer to town. The best here is the restaurant and the staff, even if didn't have dinner due it was fully booked the night we stayed, we had breakfast there next day and it was really good. Parking is small but enough, we had to wait for a while to be able to park but is included with no extra cost which is fine.

08/03/2026: First time eating in Keanes and most certainly not the last. Came with my family and the food was exactly what we wanted. Will be back again.

12/03/2026: I had the unique culinary experience of dining at this pub restaurant recently, and I must say it was unforgettable—although not for the reasons the establishment might hope. Let’s start with the chips, which deserve special recognition. They achieved a texture I previously thought impossible: simultaneously soggy and rock‑hard. Eating them felt less like dining and more like an archaeological dig. I suspect some of them may have been present since the pub first opened. Naturally, we mentioned this to the staff, who kindly solved the issue by bringing us… more of the same chips. It was a bold move. Not everyone would have the confidence to double down on mediocrity like that. The venue itself has a certain “vintage” atmosphere, if by vintage you mean dim, tired, and faintly reminiscent of a bus station waiting room that lost hope sometime in the late 1980s. One could almost admire the commitment to preserving such a thoroughly dingy aesthetic. And then there was the bill. For reasons that remain a mystery to both economics and gastronomy, the prices suggested we had just enjoyed a fine dining experience rather than a plate of what can only be described as aggressively disappointing food. All in all, if you’ve ever wondered what happens when high prices meet low expectations and somehow still manage to disappoint, this pub restaurant provides a fascinating case study.

27/02/2026: I was in there on Thursday for dinner with a great friend and the turkey dinner oh my God was off the charts in terms of quality. My goodness..I will go back there and recommend my friends and others to go there. What a feed.
