16/04/2025: We’re just back from dinner in the Monread … what can I say…. Absolutely amazing food, cocktails , service and atmosphere… I’d give it 11 out of 10 if I could. We loved it, and booked our next stay before we left … amazing!!!!

02/04/2025: Highly recommend the Monread for a really nice place to go for a meal out. I booked a table for 8 people and our table was ready when we arrived, the food came out really fast, everything was delicious. For my main, I had the Chicken Caesar Salad, and it was tasty. I will return at the first opportunity I get. I visited again this weekend and had the chicken teriyaki sizzler and really enjoyed it. It is always a pleasure to go to the Monread for a meal.

16/02/2025: This restaurant serves top notch food in a cosy setting. Small but creative menu with local produce taking centre stage (No conveyer -belt food served here!!). There's a lovely shop on the premises too so you browse around it and buy goodies to take home...A real foodie heaven. Also there are wonderful pieces of art / photography for sale. Well worth a visit.

09/12/2024: Absolutely gorgeous soup and festive sandwich with delicious real ham turkey stuffing with cranberry sauce, and so reasonably priced. Friendly and efficient staff and loads of parking in this beautifully restored Church. Would very highly recommend stopping here.

30/03/2025: My wife and I decided to visit this restaurant on our final night of our 1 week visit to Wexford. We called in early afternoon and booked a table in the bar area for 6pm on Sunday 30th March. On arrival staff were clearing tables and appeared uninterested in approaching us. A male member of bar staff then pointed to a table and walked away. We sat for 15 minutes without any drink order or menu being offered. The young male cleaning the floor then asked if we needed a menu and this was provided. We waited until 1830 hrs, by this stage food and drinks had been provided to 2 tables that arrived after us. Then an order was taken for a table of 6 who literally had just arrived.. At this point we decided to walk out.. The food being served to other diners looked lovely, unfortunately the service at this restaurant is attrocious. Very disappointed

07/04/2025: The food here was incredibly good! Bought three dishes for €30, and all the dishes were delicious. I also think the people who work here are incredibly nice! another plus was that they played premier league AWAY! Recommend mushroom taco and crab tacito(?).

06/04/2025: We had an amazing experience at Tap House! My sister-in-law came all the way from Portugal to celebrate her birthday, and it couldn’t have been more special. Karen took such great care of us – she was incredibly kind and helpful, managing to find us a spot and making sure everything was perfect. The burger was absolutely delicious, and the chicken wings were hands down the best we’ve ever had! To top it all off, they have an extensive selection of beers served at the perfect temperature. Highly recommend this place – we’ll definitely be back!

18/03/2025: Nicest breakfast ever. Had the poached eggs on sour dough with feta, tomaties and beetroot humus. The presentation was amazing like a work of art and the food tasted even better. Staff lovely, great service and value for money. I've included a picture (should have taken it before i started breakfast)

22/02/2025: PERFECT DUBLIN TO STAIRWAYS TO HEAVEN PITSTOP!! Stopped in here for breakfast today before heading on our hike. Food was French and tasty with a great variety of options. Staff were soooo friendly and there was plenty of parking! 5 Stars…well done to all involved

25/03/2025: I realise this is the low season but was very disappointed with the quality of food and drink here. The two young ladies serving were really welcoming and friendly, although we waited a fair while for our order to arrive. We were the only people in here although a couple arrived a few minutes after us and their order came first! The view is truly stunning from the upper floor. We had two fruit smoothies: I'm almost certain they were just frozen fruits as they tasted just like what you'd make at home with a Tesco mixed berry mix. At €5.50 each, I guess I just expected them to be fresh. Like I say, it's not the high season so perhaps that's why as I've seen that they say they source local produce/grow their own normally. The two raisin scones were nice but I think they had been microwaved to warm up which meant they'd gone dry with a dense texture. Very ungenerous with the butter and jam: 1 small individual butter portion per scone and a heaped teaspoon of jam (which was very tasty). I did ask for more of each but they'd run out of jam, so perhaps that's explains the meagre portion. €3.50 each. All in all, I wouldn't be returning, even for the view. I've given 4* overall to reflect poor food but very nice staff and excellent surroundings.
