You can't put a price on an experienced staff.food always consistent in taste quality and portion size. I really like taking my family here

18/08/2026: We were traveling out of lough Key by boat and by chance we found the moorings on Google. We called and got a place offered to moor in the marina. The owner met us and helped us get pulled in. The service in the pub was great with a very friendly waitress serving us. A great place to stop in future.

12/08/2026: Stopped here with my young daughters on a tour of Gaeltacht and asked if we could speak as gaeilge, the lovely staff switched immediately and patiently did our whole 2 hours there in Irish. Such a great experience, honestly the highlight if our trip - AND the sandwiches were amazing. I got the hawaiin melt, so so good. Thank you, we will be back in future.

05/09/2026: Rang up the Pucan on Friday looking to book three tables for 18 of us who wanted to head into town for the Katie Taylor fight. Asked whether they where showing it or not and they said they would be showing the whole thing. Went in early to get pints and secure the seats. 7 o clock arrived, no sign of the event on the big screen, 8 o clock asked bar staff and they said it would be on at 10 o clock. Eventually it was put on the big screen, LATE. The Pucan advertised this event on their Facebook page as starting at 7, it never did. Instead they decided to show the Celtic match for 8 Scottish tourists sitting in the smoking area. This is complete and utter disrespect for one of Ireland greatest female athletes and it displays An Pucans respect for female sports which is zero. What she has done throughout her career has been amazing for women's sports in general, her legacy will be unmatched for a generation, she is a hero of my own daughter. Security, bar staff all unhelpful, go to a different pub for your sports. Honestly, just don't go here. We left straight after the fight and will never return.

05/09/2026: Great boozer. Possibly the best pint of Guinness in Galway. Certainly the best I had. Great food and also has a huge covered beer garden. What's not to like. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending. If in Galway it's a must.

04/08/2026: Staff so nice with to staff from work and one of the girls 2 kids and the staff could not have been better. Food 10 out of 10.

31/07/2026: I got the "fresh burgers" but I thought that I would get an actual burger, and not a patty. That wasn't the main problem. The patty was chewy, mushy, and tasteless. The carrots were hard, cold, and tasted uncooked. The mash was somehow salty and dry. The cabbage was hard and unpleasant. The potatoes tasted like plastic. The trays were also quite sticky, and some had crumbs on them. They obviously weren't washed too well, if at all. Also the smell when coming through the front door was putrid, but only lasted a minute or two. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and kind.

12/08/2026: We came for lunch on August 10, 2026, and were warmly welcomed by a very friendly young woman. The dishes (a stew, a vegan dish, and two lamb and goat cheese burgers) were very generous, excellent, and very reasonably priced. The waitress was smiling and attentive. We will definitely return.

11/08/2026: A pleasant bar with an extensive range of interesting craft beers. Staff were lovely and the atmosphere was great. Would thoroughly recommend, and will visit again

17/08/2026: A great pub to spend a few hours in the company of friends, tasting excellent beers and even eating some local specialties.

14/08/2026: The pub was by far the best in all of Dublin!!! The food was absolutely excellent and the service was fantastic! The chicken burger with salad is highly recommended! 😉Simply amazing - we would definitely come back!

16/08/2026: Really poor service ordered lamb roast which isn’t cheap on their menu waited over 30 minutes to be told they forgot to cash off my order so had to wait even longer . Manager offered a pretty insincere apology almost in an aggressive tone when I said the service wasn’t good enough. Still waiting on food at time of review won’t be back no matter how good the food is

18/04/2026: Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Nice little walk to Blarney Castle grounds. Several places to eat within walking distance. Highly recommend!!

10/04/2026: Beautiful hotel, just a short walk from blarney castle, we had a gorgeous and fantastic service from the majority of the staff, the showers could’ve been a bit hotter and some areas could have done with some extra dusting but, the food was tasty and the portions were generous and the beds were so comfortable I could barely get out of bed in morning!

10/08/2026: We visited the restaurant today and ordered fish&chips and a steak sandwich. I have to say that both dishes were absolutely delicious! However, in my opinion, the steak in the sandwich could have been sliced ​​into strips,that would have made it easier to cut and eat, though that is just my personal preference. Staff is nice and polite.
