The Martello in Bray

Great location on the promenade. Close to the Dart. Friendly helpful staff. Good restaurant. Connected to a bustling pub that can get lively on the weekend. Fair warning: there's an elevator but it's a little out of the way if you're trying to avoid stairs.

Such a terrific group of servers: Friendly, helpful, efficient. Lovely Emily manges the floor and I've also got to know some of the caring Gen Z waiters and I always get a very warm welcome when I visit from Emily, Jodie, Nick, Izabella, Max and others. So it's a great experience each time. Eat alone or with friends. Various places to sit and dine. You can bring your dog to the outer section (covered) which is brilliant! 🐕 Very good menus through the day. Get there by car, local buses, Dart and walking. You can't but love it! 🌟

Myself and my friend (Jane and Andrew) stayed at The Martello for three nights last week, we had a truly amazing stay. I have stayed at the Hotel before but it was Andrew's first time. The staff are so friendly, kind and informative. The food is delicious - my favourite was the Mussels - to die for! Well done to everyone ! Until we see you again!

The perfect place for our weekend. Very close to the Dart. Opposite the beautiful promenade and the sea. Spotless rooms. Really helpful staff. Fabulous Irish Breakfast. The bars and restaurants are beautiful So many spaces to sit and enjoy yourselves. Food is gorgeous

Myself and my Girlfriend went for food last night, the day after valentines. The food was excellent and the service was really fast and fantastic communication from the staff, food was delicious for starters we had chicken goujon with a side salad for my girlfriend it came 3 sauces for salad and goujons. My girlfriend said it was delicious. I got the hot n spicy chicken wing and they were top notch, my mouth is watering thinking about them now 🤤😂😂. The main course my girlfriend got muscles and they were absolutely outstanding I tried them myself and we would both highly recommend them they came with a choice of chunky chips or skinny chips and they were delicious dipping them in the sauce from the oysters 🤤🤤😂. I got the steak sandwich and it was cooked to perfection it just melted in my mouth with the pepper sauce, Highly recommend 🤤👌😋 also came with chips we didn't go for a dessert as we were stuffed turkeys 😂😂 but the dessert menu looked really good. There was live music and the atmosphere was great. The service from the staff couldn't be any better and it was a beautiful way to end valentine's weekend 💯💯💯👌😋❤️ I put 5 stars for the rooms and hotel but we didn't stay the night but if we did I would imagine it would be well worth it 👍

Hi there my beautiful strong father born in Bray. He has sadly suddenly got stolen fighting a horid disease he couldn't breath all the work in the factories he did when he was young. Too young. Died at 64. Now we have no father. But I found a lighter going through his belongings He stopped smoking and drinking too. I'm wondering when did he stay here ? He moved to England but he must of gone back. Maybe this is a little sign to come back.

Delicious food, friendly staff and nice view from the top

Fabulous location. Great atmosphere. Wonderful staff and delicious food. The decor is worth a visit alone. We'll be back.

We had a large group for a Christmas party dinner and the food was delicious and the staff were excellent.

Enjoyed a fabulous brunch with my family in the cozy pub at the Martello. Staff were very accommodating (mom in wheelchair and a young toddler in our group) and provided excellent service. Highly recommended!
