Bang Thai
Tullamore
22/12/2025: I was looking for somewhere for breakfast in the north of the city and found Bang Bang via social media.
It is a great spot with a real community feel, loads of local produce and artwork on the walls. We had a breakfast bap (which was good value and absolutely delicious) and a coffee each. There were loads more options available.
It’s a small space but we had no problem getting somewhere to sit. I would visit again in a heartbeat
19/11/2025: Incredibly warm and welcome service and atmosphere. The cafe was busy with locals which is always a good sign. I had the vegan mac and cheese which was the best I've ever had.

The Earl of Thomond
26/10/2025: It was good but some food items were left out from a plate. We did the "test menu" option and some items present in the plate for one person were not included for the other person. The devil is in the detail and it was missed. Waiting staff were gentle and kind. Appreciate it. A couple of favorites in photos.

Belleek Castle
19/04/2026: We had a fabulous time at the Beleek Castle. The desk clerk explained about the castle and signed us up for a guided tour. Tickets were reasonable. Our guide was a school teacher and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the castle. It is richly decorated with antiques and is popular with people planning weddings. The best 2 areas were the room of Jurassic fossils and the room of ancient weapons and armor.
05/04/2026: So I am incredibly sad to give such a low star rating for the food and castle but there are significant points of difference if you are interested in the environment and you subscribe to their “garden to table” ethos.
Firstly, the food was amazing and the staff were absolutely lovely. That said the cheese course was poor (and I’m sure the grapes weren’t local 🤣) but I think there were supply issues so the dish wasn’t as per the menu.
The Castle claims to have a walk to table philosophy versus miles for ingredients so I was surprised to see asparagus on the menu at the beginning of April. I asked the question to the waitress in terms of how they managed to have asparagus at this time of year. The lovely lady didn’t know but asked the kitchen and apparently they have “a very good gardener”. I will take that as a horticulturalist with a pinch of salt given the weather conditions.
The only thing that is absolutely unforgivable is that they burn peat, the carbon sink of the planet and the most precious resource known to man. Peat sale is banned in Ireland unless you have Turbary rights (local family’s use of peat for fuel but can’t be sold under law) but sadly I have seen that Airbnb’s and hotels that do not need to rely on cheap peat fuel as they are profiteering from people staying and they don’t seem to meet the Turbary right rules. They are not rural communities struggling with the cost of fuel crisis. I have been absolutely dumbfounded by the Irish’s approach to peat, it is heartbreaking 💔.

Brasserie
Waterford
02/01/2026: Overall, the food was not great. Most dishes came out, colder incorrect, and had to be remain. The oysters were the only thing that was worthwhile. Other than that you have an inexperienced kitchen and a wait staff, too worried about their tip and not about the customers experience.
28/12/2025: We really enjoyed it. The view was spectacular, the staff were very friendly, and the food was amazing.

Adare
07/06/2026: Across the board the nicest food I've had in Limerick and I've lived here 37 years. Everything was cooked to perfection and the staff were attentive and we had no long wait times between courses. They clearly have a well oiled machine between kitchen and front of house. Food was presented beautifully on the plate and so full of flavour with high quality ingredients. Would absolutly recommend for a special occasion as it is a pricey dinner, but without a doubt you do get what you pay for. Treat that someone special with a stop off here.
31/05/2026: Lovely meal. The halibut dish was the highlight. It was excellent. I don't recommend the Red Lentil & Wild Mushroom “Bolognese.” It was pasta heavy when it could have focused more upon lentils and mushrooms, and the vegan pasta is a bit stiff as well. The service was lovely

Jack Mac's Pub
Tralee
19/04/2026: We stumbled upon this pub completely by chance, and what a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere is very welcoming; we immediately felt at ease. And above all, a fantastic waiter: friendly, smiling, and genuinely interested in France. It was a pleasure chatting with him.

Dooley's Hotel
Waterford
19/05/2026: Luggage service was provided at check-in and check-out.
Changing rooms was no problem, as we were unable to use the stairs due to mobility issues.
Breakfast was excellent and the service throughout was superb.
Best regards, Beate and Marie
18/05/2026: Stayed here with my parents to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. The team couldn't do enough for them, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Ross carried all their luggage from the car to their room - both parents have walking sticks. Leanne was also a smiling helpful lady. Karen our waitress had such a lovely way with her and kept the one liners coming which charmed my parents. They love the banter! The rooms were fantastic, comfortable, well appointed and recently refurbished. The supervisor at breakfast was excellent too, we didn't catch his name but he was another real asset. We caught him about to head out to the car with my parents luggage in the rain, just stopped him in time - we had coats he didn't!
This has got to be the friendliest hotel in ireland! Well done everyone, you aced the customer journey 👏🏻

The Goat
Dublin
18/05/2026: There’s a man in this pub that looks like a giant teddy bear, and when I see him, I wanna squeeze him
17/05/2026: A great meal to celebrate communion, lots of them happening on the same day and whilst that might affect the standard at some places, this was not the case the food and service were excellent! Would definitely for again and would recommend to others.

Le Chateau

08/06/2026: By far the best bar in Cork. Great selection of Irish whiskey, good food, and Danny the co-owner was a really nice guy.
Food 5stars
Danny got me hooked on Red Breast 12yr Irish Whiskey.

29/05/2026: I am pretty amazed to read that this Place only has 4.2 stars. I found it to be completely charming. My Irish Coffee was out of this world. The other clientele were extremely friendly. Highly recommended 🙏🏾

Pillar House
Ballinasloe
08/05/2026: An Irish pub with a great atmosphere and live music. Anyone who wants to experience Ireland should have a similar experience at least once.
