The gem of Newcastle! What a wonderful place. So cozy and unique. Definitely worthwhile visiting for any occasion, whether you're in for a pint to relax after beach walk or enjoy lunch/dinner. The beer selection is amazing. The service is stunning and staff very nice and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone.
P.s. definitely try the chowder, it's amazing!
Just had dinner in the Castle Inn and wow 5 stars all the way. The food is incredibly good. We had the prawns pil pil & the goats cheese parcel to start and the fish & chips and tempura prawn for mains. Every single morsel on the plate was outstanding. New to the area and very happy to have been recommended this place. Service couldn’t have been any better. For Guinness drinkers it’s a short pull set up meaning fresh clean pints every time. Ten stars. ⭐️
Couldn't recommend the food here enough. The burgers are sublime. Haven't even ventured into the restaurant menu yet and I'm throughly impressed. The staff are lovely. It has that old familiar feel to it.
My wife and I have been coming here for about 3 years. We now bring our baby and sometimes his grandparents when they are visiting. It is always an absolutely lovely experience. We are always really well looked after, the staff are always lovely and the food is unbelievably good. The seafood chowder has to be tasted to be believed. Our favourite restaurant in ireland. Hoping to be back again next weekend for mother's day (if we can get a table).
