The Goat in Dublin

I went to The Goat Grill on Saturday 18th of April with friends to celebrate my birthday and what a celebration it was. The food was so lovely and the band The Ex Reflex were the best, the atmosphere was electric, the Goat was buzzing. We had the best time ✨️

A great local still. A great pub, with great food and drink.

Obnoxiously rude bar staff - I had the money literally snatched from my hand, then the barman chose to walk past me and give my change to one of the floor staff. When I asked him for my change, it was thrown on the bar in front of me. I called the bar manager and relayed what I'd just experienced, only to be told he'd never had a complaint before about that member of staff, and just waved me away. Another barman intervened and told me there were plenty of other pubs I could drink in if I didn't like the service. Well, I didn't and would advise anyone else who likes pleasant, helpful bar staff to avoid the "establishment " like the plague. The standards there have gradually been on the slide for some time, but this is a new low. What happened to common decency and respect for your clientele? How they expect to stay in business going forward is a mystery. This could have been resolved in seconds with a simple apology, but the "manager" chose confrontation instead. And the barman was right - there are plenty of other pubs with courteous staff where I can spend my hard earned and not be abused.

The food was good, the atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent, but we found it too noisy, for personal reasons.

Did take a few minutes for someone to acknowledge my presence but everything was perfect after that.

A spacious neighborhood pub with a great atmosphere; it's usually busy but relaxed. Good menu for dinner, and a wide selection of beers!

Beautiful hotel, great views from our balcony. Staff in general very efficient, especially Lena on reception. Lena went above and beyond to help us and connect with us. I would highly recommend. Btw, beautiful rose garden across the street dedicated to the late princess Grace. It's a beautiful space.

Great night had by all. Food is excellent, staff very professional and friendly. Will definitely go back.
