05/07/2026: Absolute Disgrace—Avoid at All Costs I gave this place 1 star only because Google won't let me leave a zero or a negative rating. What started as a nice family dinner turned into one of the most humiliating restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. We sat down and ordered our drinks and starters first. While waiting, we looked over the rest of the menu for our main course but honestly couldn’t find anything that appealed to the family. When I politely mentioned to our waiter that we’d just stick to the starters and drinks tonight, he didn't just walk away—he literally ran to the manager. Next thing we knew, the manager marched over to our table and abruptly told us we had to leave. Before we could even process what was happening, they snatched our drinks right off the table. I was shocked but still tried to be civil, offering to pay for the drinks we had ordered. The manager’s arrogance was absolutely off the charts; he flat-out refused and just wanted us out. I have never seen a business treat paying customers with such blatant disrespect and hostility. If you want to be kicked out of a restaurant for not ordering "enough" to their liking, this is the place for you. Otherwise, spend your hard-earned money somewhere that actually understands basic human decency.

12/07/2026: Stopped in for a light lunch and tried two salads — the halloumi & hummus and the chicken salad — along with a lemonade, iced tea, and a dessert to finish. The presentation was genuinely lovely and the location itself is bright, comfortable, and welcoming. Quality-wise, though, the food didn’t fully live up to the visuals. Both salads were fine but lacked the flavour punch you’d expect at this price point, and the dessert felt more average than memorable. Still, the service was friendly, the atmosphere relaxed, and overall it was a pleasant visit. A solid spot for a casual meal, but with room to improve on taste to match the great presentation.

12/07/2026: Excellent place. Super helpful staff who went out of their way to help us work around disrupted travel arrangements. Really good food at reasonable prices. Highly recommended 5⭐️+

09/07/2026: Quick and tasty fish and chips. The portion is big, you will be full. Price is ok. No sitting oppurtity, so you can picnic at the park, with a company of seagulls.

08/07/2026: Go there if you want to get disrespected from the staff while you make an order and receive your order. Completely rude and arrogant both staff members serving in the front. It was so shocking to watch them be so disrespectful and rude to each customer for no reason. The vegetarian burger, €13 as shown below, I dunno know you judge for yourself if that’s worth €13. The chips on the other hand are good. I just don’t understand the extreme rudeness and unpleasantness.

14/07/2026: We arrived, were made wait 45 minutes for a chicken wrap and fish and chips, we then mentioned where is our food and it appeared 10 minutes later. The fish and chips were cold, and the chicken in the wrap was chewy and very hard eat. We left our food as we could not eat that, we mentioned it to the staff however she didn’t seem to be too bothered about what our issues. Such a shame because we were so excited to come here and essentially spent €45 on nothing.

22/06/2026: I went there with friends during our stay in Northern Ireland. It's a family-run establishment, passed down through generations. The atmosphere is friendly, and the food is a cut above your average pub fare. The service is excellent and friendly. It deserves a sixth star! Don't miss this place if you're ever in the area!

30/05/2026: We had a fantastic time here! We arrived while horse racing was on and asked if they could switch the TV to MotoGP. They were more than happy to do it for us, which we really appreciated. The guy behind the bar was incredibly friendly and even spoke a little Spanish, which was a lovely surprise. The atmosphere was great, the locals were very welcoming, and there was a fantastic selection of beers at very reasonable prices. We had a brilliant afternoon watching the race and felt right at home. Highly recommended if you're looking for a friendly pub with great service and a warm atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

19/04/2026: We stumbled upon this pub completely by chance, and what a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere is very welcoming; we immediately felt at ease. And above all, a fantastic waiter: friendly, smiling, and genuinely interested in France. It was a pleasure chatting with him.

20/07/2026: Top house food from the starter main to desert is very delicious and the presentation is excellent , you dont wait too long for food, service is good I have been there several times, there pub and music as well, toilets are clean, I will definitely go back again and again and I highly recommend

23/06/2026: We had an absolutely incredible experience at Bulgaden Castle in Kilmallock. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were blown away by the hospitality. Our host was exceptionally warm and welcoming, which instantly set a wonderful tone for the entire evening. Upon learning it was our very first visit, she went completely above and beyond by taking us on a personal tour of the property. She showed us the charming pub area, the beautifully appointed dining room, and their massive event space. She explained that they host a fantastic Sunday dinner in that larger room, which looked like the perfect setting for a big family gathering. When it came time to order, we decided to trust her expertise and deferred to her recommendations for the evening specials. We ordered the roast pork and the classic bacon and cabbage. Both dishes were absolutely outstanding, packed with traditional flavor and perfectly prepared. Paired with great drinks, the meal provided the absolute perfect end to an adventurous day of exploring. Bulgaden Castle is a true gem in Kilmallock.

31/05/2026: We enjoyed our stay at Lakeside manor. We had the suite and felt it was spacious, had great AC, a comfy bed, and nice view. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel as well. We would love to visit again!

06/05/2026: Zero stars if I could. €20 to use the slipway, that's not on. It's way to expensive, in other places it's only €5-€10. Rip off. The service at the hotel is hit and miss and the prices are too expensive for what you get and being charged €3.50 for a pint of MiWadi...... Come on, get it together. The current state of the carpark is like the surface of the moon, be warned. The price of the Mi-Wadi may have changed, since we were there. We and others I've talked to will not be going back.

30/06/2026: Fab place hidden n the country just out from killaloe. Lovely to relax have bite to eat and a drink . Lovely clientele as well as staff, overall I'd highly recommend
