15/07/2025: Nice pub in the center of Galway. The service was attentive and friendly. The Caesar salad was substantial and very tasty. The shrimp had too much sauce, which took away their flavor.

26/06/2025: I brought 2 friends for something to eat at around 3.30pm. There was a funeral party being catered for and a very pleasant waitress found us a table. One friend had the soup of the day and the other ordered theTagliatelle. I ordered the Fish and chips. My fish and chips were barely edible. The chips were heavily crusted and tasteless even with ketchup. There were three pieces of fish 1 large and 2 smaller pieces. The batter was Trump like in colour. The fish was dry with a suspicious yellow hue on the outside. It had an unpleasant taste. To top it all off the pea puree also had a slight toasty crust. I could not eat the meal. When the waitress came back she asked me was everything OK I told her my meal was inedible. She apologised and said she would tell the chef. She came back and apologising offered me something else. I politely declined and noticed neither of my guest had finished their meals. We were asked if we would like to order tea/coffee but we didn't. I went up to pay expecting that there would be at least a reduction on the bill. None was offered and there was no further comment re. the complaint. I didn't particularly want to cause a fuss and possibly embarrass my friends. I believe a person who may have been the manager/owner had observed the situation and he did not make any comment. The bill came to €41.90 and I did not leave a tip. My friend's Tagliatelle was not very pleasant but she didn't want to complain as she was being treated. Verdict: The serving staff were delightful and seemingly well trained young women. The chef and presumed managerial person - not so much.

06/08/2025: Met up with friends for dinner at 7pm. August 25 two couples we ordered dinner at 7.10pm The starters arrived very fast We waited and waited for our main courses to arrive other people all served mains At 8.30pm we asked what the delay was the mains arrived at 8.40 my steak was cold and other dishes also cold I gave back my steak and they arrived back with another one about 10 minutes later no excuses I thought it very bad service and food not good

30/07/2025: We were very disappointed. We booked a table by the window in advance to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we arrived, no one acknowledged the reservation – the bartender simply directed us to the pub area and we were seated randomly. So what’s the point of asking for a name and details when booking, if no one bothers to check or care? The food was also disappointing. The duck from the daily menu was tough, dry, and hard to chew – it tasted like reheated leftovers. Not once did anyone come over to ask if the food was okay or if we needed anything. The service was cold, and the staff showed no interest in the customer experience. For that reason, we didn’t leave a tip. We won’t be coming back, and we won’t recommend this place to anyone.

05/09/2025: The food was delicious! We arrived with no reservation at around 8pm, and they were able to seat us within ten minutes. Had a lovely drink at the bar while waiting. The service is outstanding, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely dinner.

20/07/2025: Lovely sunny lunch which was served quickly. Lovely staff and a great spot after a cliff walk, which in my opinion is Dublin's best kept secret. And you can bring your dog!

23/08/2025: What a magnificent place to stay. The staff are always on hand to give you great advice on activities on the island and help with any questions you might have. The bar is an amazing place to eat too! Highly highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

04/06/2025: I went to Oxtsil on Friday with my friend her daughter and my daughters. We had such a great night full of laughter and fantastic food. I can only say it's one of our absolute favourite restaurants to go to. The food is absolutely amazing, all seasonal. I don't know how they do it but each dish busts with flavour, they're is an explosion of flavour on each bite. I ate gambas prawns, for starter, pork belly with prawns for mains. We shared 3deserts between us, malt and Hazelnut cheesecake, salted Carmel with a homemade biscuit and a chocolate moose with brownie and honeycomb 😋😋😋😋😋 amazing! My friend and her daughter live in NY and we book oxtail evertime she comes home, that's testament in itself. Well done, keep up the good work. Can't wait to go back in July

09/08/2025: We only ate there, and I regret it. I spent the whole night in the bathroom. There was something wrong with the food. We had the sea bass and the lamb chops. An entire day of vacation was lost.

08/08/2025: The staff are lovely and the drinks are good. However, there are three evil men that have colonised the space. They are all balding and middle aged. Most likely single. They are terrible at darts, however, they insist on using the dart board exclusively for several hours and being incredibly rude and aggressive to anyone who wants to share the dart board. Especially women. I have attached a photo so you can see what they look like. Again, the staff are lovely only these men are the issue.
