20/11/2025: Had lunch. Chowder was watery Fish special on chorizo and bean in tomato base isn't nice. Why not keep it simple. I seems like a pretentious effort to be different for the sake of being different. Dinner cold apart from fish. Again why watery chowder instead of the expected normal creamy version. Maybe call this out on the menu. Offer what the majority will enjoy and not the few.

16/11/2025: Service was extremely mediocre and portion sizes were a joke.

18/11/2025: I like Canal. The service was excellent (always liked a little chitchat and a warm welcome) and the food pleasantly surprised me. I ordered fish and chips and oh boy - it was an enormous piece (palm sized!) of delicious, well cooked and tasty fish! But the best part were the peas on the side - I don’t know what they did, but these were stunning: well seasoned and delicious. The interior looks like a bit like a fancy dinner place (and maybe it is), but to me it felt a bit off. The beers, fish and chips and the overall vibe of the cafe does not match with this presentation, but that is probably just me. Enjoyed my visit and will be happy to stop by again, should I be in the area!

02/12/2025: Good environment, but huge lack of wish in serving people. I got there 1h (20:30, Google says 21:30, and this information is provided by the restaurant) before closing and the server told me that the restaurant would close in few minutes...

18/08/2025: Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our visit to the restaurant. Very high prices for small dishes without any seasoning. The burger was unfortunately very dry and not particularly well-prepared. It's a nice place to sit outside, but the music was a bit loud.

06/07/2025: I had the fish & chips special, which was delicious, along with a glass of cava. The two went great together. Also tried a mango / passion fruit tart, which was amazing! The place is cozy and the service is great. Had a lovely time!

04/07/2025: I saw the summer special for fish and chips and a glass of cava for €26 and decided to try it. The service from when we got there was great. We placed our order and the food was out in under 10 minutes. 2 cods were on the plate but I’d say the star of the dish was the tartar sauce never had anything like it and the fish was super crispy. 10/10 would recommend and the cava pairing worked really well!

03/10/2025: Tried out the Pepper Mill after a local recommendation. Found it clean, friendly staff and food was great. Coffee was nice too. Will be back.
