09/03/2026: Fabulous in house restaurant. Casual atmosphere with a great menu. We had a later dinner and enjoyed everything we ordered. The pie of the week was chicken and mushroom and was delicious! Highly recommend

04/03/2026: I had a wonderful experience at The Garden Rooms. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was just as impressive. The staff were very welcoming and attentive throughout our visit, making us feel truly looked after. Wael was a fantastic server — friendly, professional, and attentive to every detail. I would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back!

16/04/2026: Do not stay here if you’d like to sleep. We have an apartment for us and our 2 children. We were put right next to an alleyway. There is no attempt at soundproofing, so all night the drunks are yelling, and then some kind of construction starts at 6am. The rooms are not worth the cost- there are holes in the sofa, and a hole in the wall of the bedroom. No shampoo or conditioner, either. The bed is rock hard. Nothing like the photos. The staff is friendly and the location is great for walking, but there are loads of hotels on the same strip that I’m certain would be quieter and nicer.

14/04/2026: Great location on the promenade. Close to the Dart. Friendly helpful staff. Good restaurant. Connected to a bustling pub that can get lively on the weekend. Fair warning: there's an elevator but it's a little out of the way if you're trying to avoid stairs.

02/04/2026: The food in this place is so strange, the veggie burger especially needs much improvement, it's only a burger bun, a green isle veggie burger and sliced tomatoes on it, no sauce on it at all, it is disgusting, and a pretty sorry excuse of a burger especially when it's around €18 and a supermacs veggie burger is 3x better than the one served here and is also cheaper

14/04/2026: Went last Saturday with my three girlfriends celebrating my friends engagement! Had such a lovely afternoon service. The staff were lovely and informative, attention to detail was immaculate. Highly recommend. My servers name was Karla I believe, couldn't praise her highly enough.

12/04/2026: Great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are functional and the bed is comfortable. The location is perfect for reaching everything in the city on foot; the AirCoach stops nearby, and many tours start not far from the hotel. The pub in the basement offers good live music and delicious food.

12/04/2026: Very well located, authentic, and cozy hotel. Spacious and clean room, with everything you need. Very friendly staff, always ready to help or give tips. Very tasty, well-prepared breakfast; you can choose between a continental or hot Irish breakfast, and the restaurant also serves delicious food in the evening at a very fair price.

29/04/2026: This was a fantastic experience! Of all the choices for a night in Cork, I am so glad we chose Plunketts. The 2-man band was fabulous and the craic was just what we were looking for. Make your reservations and GO!

28/04/2026: I ordered a round of four of Redbreast 12. The Bartender did not ask if I wanted it neat (I did) and he brought it to me with ice. When I told him I wanted it neat, he re-poured the drinks. I sat down to enjoy the drinks and watched the bartenders strain the ice from the glasses and pour the whiskey back in the bottle. It had been in the glasses for at least five minutes and certainly was diluted. Inexcusable.

05/03/2026: A restaurant on its game, fantastic bar service and food, our new stop for catching the ferry going forward, last booking 815pm so worked well for us for tye rest of our journey, would recommend, lovely staff and buzz about the place

01/03/2026: Staff were friendly, very welcoming and we were seated quickly, drinks were ordered and delivered quickly, however we weren't asked again were we alright for drinks. The food wasn't impressive, the steak was more fat then meat, chips were dry, looked like they were reheated or recooked, the place got very chaotic when a group booking arrived late. It was uncomfortable hearing the staff talk about it while leaving the group waiting. It was expensive, the quality of food did not match price. Over €90 for two courses for two people. Money not well spent.

03/12/2025: Lovely location and accommodating staff. Booked the suite and the whole hotel was decorated in the spirit of Christmas which was lovely. Just one minor suggestion: Consider partnering with local artists for artwork to be added to rooms and potentially it being able to be research via qr code and purchased.

02/12/2025: Room was very comfortable, the perfect size with plenty of space, but not too big. Excellent bathroom. Service at the hotel were excellent. All staff were outstanding, very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent, poached egg and avocado was delicious, eggs perfectly cooked. Having access to the swimming pool at the Great Southern was a great bonus and it is only across the road from the townhouse.

19/03/2026: A fantastic welcome from the whole team, who are lovely, and a huge thank you to Bryan for his delicious food! We had a wonderful time, a group of 12, enjoying the sunshine on the terrace during our visit to Carna.
