25/09/2026: Went back to the Dining Room last night for the 4th time. We visit Westport annually from the U.S. and the Dining Room in Castlebar is always a must stop. By far the best dining experience we experience each year. Fantastic food, small but excellent wine list, and well worth the 20 minute drive from Westport. Already planning our return in May.

14/07/2026: What a wonderful evening! My friend from Westport invited me here, and I was genuinely impressed. The food was outstanding from start to finish. I chose the special of the day – halibut with a lobster bisque – and it was absolutely delicious. I especially loved that they even brought me an extra jug of the bisque, which was such a lovely touch. The starter was equally delicious: perfectly cooked scampi served on a fresh salad. The restaurant itself is quite small, which gives it a warm, intimate atmosphere. I felt very comfortable throughout the evening, and the service was friendly and attentive. If I’m back in Castlebar, I will definitely come here again. Highly recommended!
