You wouldn't expect to find such a great restaurant in such a small town, but both the food and the service were top-notch!

Met an old friend there for Food and a few Zeros. Meal was lovely and staff very friendly..Had a couple of drinks in the bar after while listening to some live music . Really nice atmosphere . But my big shout out goes to the Barman ( never got his name ) and customer who helped me out whilst stranded with a dead car battery at midnight down the street....Legends lads , thanks a Million.

Many thanks to Freddie and Denis and all the staff in the Old Stand yesterday. We had a fabulous family meal celebrating our daughters communion. Excellent food drinks and service, we had a lovely relaxed afternoon. Thanks all

Recently had our daughter’s christening. Food was high quality served by staff who showed not just a high level of detail but also made you feel welcome and looked after. We had a set menu for approx 50 people with a great variety of choice high quality food in a function area upstairs which we had to ourselves We would highly recommend this venue for any special occasion or if your looking for good food in a high quality establishment

The food was INCREDIBLE! I had the pasta carbonara and my husband had the stir fry. The kids pasta and goujons were also great. Highly recommend the fried mushrooms too! Dennis was a great server, very attentive and polite! Freddie was also exceptional! Thank you!

I love The Old Stand it’s so nice. It’s always great food , but the service can be a bit slow. The breakfast and dinner are amazing and so good, I haven’t tried the lunch yet so ya. I recommend this restaurant.

What an absolute pleasure it was to dine there,food was just fantastic and service was excellent,the moment you arrive you are greated by lovely staff ,have to say thumbs up to Freddie very nice its worth driving out of city to eat there a pure gem of a place ,Mags paul
