08/07/2026: The food was very below standard, frozen chicken burger and goujons. The chicken burger was pure slop, unable to pick it up or cut into. For the same prices many restaurants around have better quality food.

06/06/2026: I had dinner here recently and it was delicious. Staff are very friendly and professional and very knowledgeable about their gluten free options. Most of the menu could be adapted for gluten free. Staff were also very aware of cross contamination. I had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

25/07/2026: From check-in to check-out, the experience was flawless. The rooms were pristine, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. However, the absolute highlight was the food—every meal was a culinary masterpiece. The breakfast buffet offered an amazing variety, and dinner at the hotel restaurant featured rich, perfectly balanced flavors. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

24/07/2026: Stayed at Morrissey’s last week, and all I can say is wow! I was blown away by the whole experience. The food was absolutely incredible, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was brilliant. I’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend it!

02/08/2026: I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding the behaviour of one of your servers during our recent visit. Throughout our time at the restaurant, the server was noticeably rude and dismissive towards us, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. More concerningly, the server repeatedly stared at my wife’s chest in an inappropriate and uncomfortable manner. This behaviour was completely unacceptable and made both of us feel extremely uncomfortable during what should have been an enjoyable experience. We understand that mistakes can happen and that staff may have difficult days, but this went beyond poor customer service. We believe that customers should be treated with respect and professionalism at all times, regardless of the circumstances. I would appreciate it if this matter could be investigated and addressed appropriately with the staff member involved. I would also appreciate a response regarding what action will be taken to ensure that other customers do not experience similar behaviour. I look forward to hearing from you and hope that you take this complaint seriously. I got the servers name i believe it was jack mcentaggart

02/08/2026: Newly refurbished. Great food, friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The meals were well presented and tasty, and the overall experience was excellent. A little expensive for tapas but they are tasty.

09/06/2026: What does value for money mean? It means Lady Helen. We were there June 6th for a birthday. We will never forget it. Skip 3 or 4 meals out that will be soon forgotten in exchange for one night in this restaurant that will live long in the memory, linger sensually on the palate and will lift your spirits for days and weeks afterwards. Food at the highest level infused with care and expertise that will take your breath away. If you can get there then just go and experience it.

07/06/2026: The absolute highlight of our Ireland tour. A fantastic restaurant with exceptionally good service. You get the impression that the restaurant, or rather the building it's in, belongs to the waiters themselves, as they explain and show you everything with such enthusiasm. The food was of absolutely top quality; the main course is served and explained personally by the chef (at every table). You feel like you're among friends; we truly had an exceptionally wonderful evening! Thank you to the entire team at Lady Helen!

23/06/2026: Ate here while staying at the hotel and we had such a great meal here - fantastic service from both Anita and Stanfer. They have a separate vegetarian / vegan menu that isn’t large but is very tasty! Ambiance was wonderful and overall dining here was just a joy.

21/05/2026: The hotel is a wonderful place, historic. The food they offer is really good. So far the good things. I asked for a room with sea view and got the information that it will have view. Well. See a picture from my window. I didn't mean that! The rooms are expectable old. Nothing to complain here. But there is no sound isolation. We were able to here everything from the next room. TV, water tap, shower, toilet. Regarding the service. There were three women in service two younger ones, who walk through the restaurant looking to the ground, barely seeing guests contact wishes for drinks or coffee in the morning. The 3rd women, a stronger one, was amazing. She definitely loves her job. It was fun talking with her and getting her recommendations for the order was Gold. Sorry for this review.

14/05/2026: We stayed two nights as a family. The hotel is superb, retaining its original charm, with very large, comfortable, and clean rooms. The restaurant is the only one open and offers good quality food. The staff is friendly. We highly recommend it.

03/04/2026: The most delicious food you will get in Cahersiveen is in Eva’s restaurant! If you want flavoursome and classic dishes cooked to perfection, go here ! We had the fish and chips (beautiful hake with lovely light batter), lemon creamy chicken, and spaghetti prawns. Oh my god we licked the plates !

10/06/2026: Restaurant Chestnut was a once in a lifetime dining experience. We did a tasting menu and everyone dish was delicious and deliberate. The staff was attentive but subtle. The music was romantic, the bowls were even beautiful! I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! This was the perfect end to our honeymoon!
