07/10/2024: Fairly good service with some nice local dishes featured on the menu. The beef and guineas stew was watery and lacked flavour and the gammon was extremely salty. The boxty and applesauce served with the gammon was a nice tough but I didn’t like how the gammon was served in a deep fried crust - it felt unnecessarily heavy.

11/11/2024: This very small cafe doesn't know wether to sell groceries or food - constant draught from the chill cabinet - the late breakfast we had was expensive and very average and much too big - my wife had a plate of food that would have filled two Alaska loggers. Toast was like a rock mushrooms tasteless uncooked bacon - just not great. Would we go back? Definitely not. Would we recommend to anyone? Definitely not. Sorry but just not for us

02/11/2024: A superb little spot hidden away in quiet Collooney. We had fabulous breakfasts from full Irish to a vegetarian delight! Plenty of tasty option whatever dietary needs you have. It is a tiny restaurant, so not great for big groups, but for nice family breakfast- highly recommended.

14/11/2024: I went to the Bleeding Horse on a Tuesday night around 9.30pm. The band was finishing its performance and the pub was getting less busy but I still enjoyed the atmosphere.

11/11/2024: Excellent bar with a very good atmosphere. The live music was very entertaining and the decor is very pretty.

17/10/2024: We were walking around westport looking for a pint and a bit of grub before we got the bus to another town. And cosy joes was the only place with an open door. Walked in to smiles and a warm friendly atmosphere. The barman Fergus was full of chat and plenty of stories especially when he was told my fiancé is a chef. And we are engaged had plenty of knowledge about the local hotels and wedding spots. He recommended the burger which I have to say was amazing. I only wish we had more time. It was this stop that made our day in westport. And will definitely be letting head groomesmen and maid of honour know that it's a stag and hen spot.

26/10/2024: Just had to write a review to say what a fabulous place this is ,the staff are all just excellent ,from the owner Mary,to the staff at the bar and on the floor the service is top class, the food is absolutely gorgeous.The chefs are magicians with what they can do with gorgeous ingredients, Happy Halloween to you all 🎃👻🎃👻🎃

12/10/2024: Great location. Fantastic food. Brilliant service. Love the Whitehouse. Never had a bad meal. Also great ceoliac options which is rare these days. Also a great function room upstairs.

17/11/2024: Had a fantastic time at Buskers the other week. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the drinks were top-notch. A young blond bartender (I think he said he was from Cork) really stood out with his friendly and efficient service. He made the night even more enjoyable with his welcoming demeanor. I’ll definitely be back—highly recommend!

07/08/2024: What a fab place. Food was wonderful, we had a starter and main, and couldn't fit dessert too, as there was plenty of food. Good service, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Most definitely worth the awards they have received, and the reviews.

02/11/2024: I hadn't been at shells for a couple of years. Decided to give it a go for lunch today. Got seated fairly quickly then we were left 15 minutes waiting to order. I had to stand up to grab the attention of someone to take our order. I had Korean chicken & she had goats cheese salad and kids had cowboy burger and calamari and chips. Everyone else was served at the table and my dish never arrived. Waiting staff forgot about me. Once again had to stand up for a few minutes trying to get someones attention to give me my lunch. Korean chicken dish was like a chicken fillet roll from centra on a plate without the bread. The chicken fillet tasted like it went straight from the freezer into the fryer. Beautiful salad leaves destroyed by swamping them in gallons of mayonnaise. Couldn't finish it and feel sick after it. Goats cheese salad didn't come with pecan nuts or orange segments as described and no bread to accompany felt a bit cheap. The Calamari was burnt and the cowboy burger just meat and bread, no sauce. Kids meals looked incredibly unhealthy, no salads or vegetables. This place is a greasy spoon with burgers and chips thrown in the fryer and no real effort. Zero effort and zero customer service gets a Zero review from me.

28/10/2024: Food was excellent, portion size was on the small side (chips)(we got a takeaway) but couldn't fault it

29/09/2024: Great vibe and delicious food. Would recommend the Pesto Chicken Panini and the Sautéed Potatoes. Great Guinness too!

15/11/2024: Great cafe - very homely feel to the place. Food is great, big portions and prices very fairly. The staff are absolutely lovely - really friendly crew. Haven't been in for an evening meal, but I'll definitely be giving it a crack soon.
