10/08/2025: Always a good stop on way to Killarney. Not been over to Ireland for a few years and was pleased that Avoca does not appear to have suffered the post covid fate other similar tourist places. Still great food at great value upstairs and the store still has plenty to offer. Definitely worth a stop if you are out that way.

17/08/2025: I went here with the family for the October bank holiday. This place is a hidden gem tucked away above a car park. The narrow stairwell opens out into a large ballroom floor At the back. The decor gives for a great ambience. The menu was varied and good. There was a veggie option. #ramblingstampcollectors

24/07/2025: I normally enjoy the food, but I got the duck with the trio of sauces, the 3 sauces were too sweet and there was so much of the sauces that I had to ask for another plate so I could just eat the duck and the vegetables. It was impossible to eat it with the meat swimming in sauce.

25/08/2025: The location is, of course, fabulous, but the service, prices, and quality of the food make it a typical tourist trap for me. The receptionist was cold and disinterested, and our friendly waiter seemed stressed (tables are apparently reserved every 1.5 hours). The staff were generally rather untrained. We ordered stew and salmon, both of which were extremely mediocre, and the portions were really small. The cleanliness of the restrooms also didn't live up to the high standards they set for themselves. Long story short: great place, unfortunately undeservedly hyped. They could make something really great out of this place.

14/07/2025: grand little spot on innis oirr saved our morning in the downpours we sat back had a few cappuccinos tea cake and pink lemonades. lovely all round and we enjoyed our time here would recommend to all.

04/09/2025: Love the old school pub vibe here. Amazing food! We had cottage pie, potato and leek soup, the number nine pizza, and the spicy nachos. All were delicious and huge portions. You just walk in, find a table, and order food at the bar. We went Tuesday night at 7:30 and found lots of open tables and seating.

Very well located with bus stop right outside.. they have patty room as well where you can enjoy your personal events… food and ambiance is good either going for a family dinner or to watch a game… all good… new manu has arrived… and it’s still yummy

10/07/2025: ⸻ A very cosy and delicious place in Ballybofey! They always serve fresh, high-quality food — from hearty burgers to light salads. I really enjoyed the warm goat cheese salad with nuts, and the large plate with meats, veggies and mixed salads — everything was well prepared and beautifully presented. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back!

21/06/2025: A great local restaurant with super staff and beautiful food. I had a breakfast bagel which was really nice and the coffee is very good. Slightly hidden off the main street, it is well worth visiting.

08/08/2025: The nicest fish and chips we’ve had! We were passing through Ballybunion on our Wild Atlantic Way road trip and stopped at Namirs. He was closed but turned on the fryers for us and made us the best fish we’d ever had! Tasty beer batter and lovely fresh cod. Such a nice man. Highly recommend!

27/07/2025: Absolute hidden gem based within a bowling ally .We were very on the fence about eating here and only because we thought it might be just the usual burgers and chips joint however we were very wrong ,absolutely lovely food great service and you wouldn't even know you were in a bowling ally .Ate here twice while staying in the Clanree Hotel.

08/07/2025: Nos alojábamos en el castillo y decidimos cenar allí. Es difícil conseguir reservas incluso para los residentes, por lo que conviene reservar con antelación. Yo pedí trucha del Atlántico y mi compañero pidió solomillo. Pedimos un par de acompañamientos que también nos sirvieron en los platos. Afortunado. Ambos estaban realmente sabrosos. Lamentablemente no hay mucho de cada uno en el plato por el precio.

03/07/2025: Cenamos con amigos en el Dungeon. Nos lo pasamos todos genial. El personal de servicio fue eficiente y amable. Todos nuestros platos estaban deliciosos. Los precios, aunque caros, eran más razonables que los del restaurante George V del piso de arriba.
