Eco Douglas
Cork
13/05/2026: A busy restaurant, and therefore perhaps a bit overcrowded inside. But I wasn't bothered by other guests. I had the sirloin steak, which was fine. The accompanying vegetables didn't appeal to me as much, but that is a matter of personal taste. In short, the restaurant is worth a visit.
13/05/2026: Delicious food. We went two days in a row, had different foods each time, and everything was delicious! They have great options for gluten free GF, too. Highly recommend!

Montenotte Bistro
Cork
31/03/2026: Just had a wonderful break at the Montenotte, room was very comfortable and everything needed was available. Breakfast in the panorama lounge was delicious with beautiful views of the city. Drinks in the night overlooking the lights of Cork is wonderful. Staff are very attentive and friendly. The short walk downhill is easy to access the city and it's a very short uphill taxi back. We'll certainly return
25/03/2026: Off busy narrow street, so have a good navigation so you don't miss the entry like we did, as it was a bear to get back here. Otherwise, this has been the best hotel we have stayed while in Ireland so far. The staff and hotels attention to details are top notch. You should not be disappointed!

The Rusty Oven
07/07/2026: Very friendly service, good food, and a charming pub. Restaurant with table service until 9 pm, then pub with music. Highly recommended.
06/07/2026: If you are visiting the cliffs of Sliabh Liag this is a must- stop. The restaurant is very command welcoming. The staff is great. The food is hearty and delicious, and there’s usually a fire in the hearth.
We tried both a seafood stew and a beef stew. Both were great.

Cellar Bar
Galway
05/06/2026: Best choice in area for variety of real food. We had pasta and fish chips and pints of beer
05/06/2026: The place was nice and the waitresses were very friendly and helpful. I had a fish and chips that was huge, and the fries were good but the fish didn’t taste like much, and the batter wasn’t cooked enough, so it was a bit raw and soggy.

bridge st
Castlebar legal
31/01/2026: This is were all the cool kids go... of course I noticed it was the kids of the 90s. The best generation, But still cool nonetheless.
A great bar with some great cool hide away tables. This allows for decent chats and socialising, not provided by Bridge St, you have to bring your own.
Normally Irish bars have live bands, no shade as the kids say. But sometimes you want a bar with a great selection of drinks and to be able to speak to the people on your table. This is the place.
Staff are friendly and intuitive, not leaving you thirsty. Also there is a great outdoor area which allows for eating. There is even a food truck that parks right up to the outside tables. So there isn't much of a walk for a take away pint and meal. Also if you prefer other takeaway places, they all say that you can eat their food there too. The outside place is sheltered, but I wouldn't like to test it during a downpour.

The Black Wolf-Beer & Food Co
Dublin
22/06/2026: Booked a function room for a 30th Birthday Party and I’m extremely upset about how the evening went to the point I’m still receiving calls from family members advising me of more and more issues they had with the venue.
When we went to decorate the room a couple hours before the party began ,the wait staff were taking their break in the room and were eating and lying on the booths we were trying to decorate around them not once did they take the common decency to move to the unoccupied function room next door . I understand staff need breaks and this may very well be where they normally take them but a bit of professionalism and common sense would tell you to find somewhere else for the 20 minutes it took us to decorate .
We arrived later that evening and were informed the lift on the premises was out of order which was frustrating as we had some elderly family members with mobility issues who had to then struggle to climb the stairs to the function room.
From the outset of the party there was awful service I was constantly cleaning tables of glasses all evening and I was the only one for hours , there was never sufficient floor service to the point I didn’t see a single staff member cleaning glasses until after the restaurant closed at 9.30 or 10pm our booking began at 7pm and I spent the whole night clearing glasses and dropping drinks to tables myself. It’s extremely embarrassing and ruined the night for me and my partner who couldn’t enjoy his birthday party due to the ongoing complaints we were receiving from our guests.
We also paid for 5 platters of food that we were informed would comfortably feed 50 people , we had 40 guests and in all honesty the platters provided were more suited to 20 people (also no plates provided , I brought our own paper plates luckily ) I ordered 2 more platters and this still wasn’t enough . A family member asked the wait staff after clearing any leftover food (from platters on smaller tables of 2-3 people ) if we could send some home for a sick family member who couldn’t make it to which we were told the food had already been binned and they could pay an additional €20 for 4 slider burgers ( mind you the platters were €60 each )
What would have been more beneficial was for the staff to come to me and ask if they could clear them or ask if we wanted to keep the leftovers ,or if we wanted to relocate the platters with leftovers to more occupied tables who didn’t get nearly enough food.
I asked the manager on the night and the bar staff to ensure tables were being cleared 3 times because I was sick of doing it myself and each time nothing changed until the restaurant closed . I flagged all my issues with the manager Stephen and to be perfectly honest I didn’t receive a very positive response , I’m not looking for compensation or a refund of any form I just want it sufficiently acknowledged and an apology for the experience instead I was met with indifference and a defensive attitude . Everything I said was responded to with “ I’ll check the camera / speak to the manager on duty“ … “ your booking wasn’t until 7 the staff use that room when it’s not occupied “… “ the lift was working but we weren’t confident someone wouldn’t get stuck in it so for health and safety reasons we chose not to use it “ … I also informed the manager I would leave a negative review and his response was completely indifferent, honestly I wouldn’t have even left this if my negative experience was acknowledged.Somewhat out of the control of the venue it happened to be a very warm evening but the room was sweltering hot everyone was using paper plates to fan themselves , there really should be AC in the room as it’s connected to the kitchen ( they left the kitchen door open all night ) and the windows don’t open .The only positive was the lovely bar lady who did a great job servicing drinks all night and the waitress who was eventually allocated to the room late in the evening .
15/06/2026: Nice place good food but not to my taste
