15/04/2025: Went back recently for their steak night. I'd the ribeye, friend had the steak sandwich. Both were very well presented. Unfortunately my steak was over cooked nearly welldone when ordered medium rare, friend steak sandwich was actually cooked brilliantly, seems to be very hard to get a, steak cooked to requested temperature so a bit strange that there was such a difference.
The Peper sauce was amazing.
Atmosphere was very dead, it was early on in the evening but still felt very sterile and still.
I'll be back to give it another shot anyway
09/04/2025: Calls itself a Gatro pub, that’s a bit OTT, but very good pub grub.
Steak night on Wednesday, my ribeye had some tough gristle but overall was cooked to my liking.
Very good Guinness.

22/02/2025: Lovely evening, great food and great service. Highly recommended. Pat was attentive, and helpful throughout. For Starters we both had Goat cheese and onion tarts. Delicious. Butternut squash risotto was beautifully cooked and delicious, as was Beef cheeks. Desserts also fabulous, apple crumble and also Pavlova. Service throughout was exceptional. We will book here again for sure if we return.
01/12/2024: We had a family lunch for 14 people for a birthday & anniversary celebration. The restaurant manager Pat could not do enough for us. He was so welcoming, personable and fantastic with all the kids. The food was delicious and so reasonably priced. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon and making the occasion so special. I’m looking forward to my next meal there. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

17/03/2025: The Brewry had been reccomended and it didn't dissapoint. We were made very welcome and given a two table at the window. We were not really hungry and opted to share a chowder starter and the steak sandwich.
Service was very good from start to finish, would call again.

09/04/2025: Great place, the staff was professional and welcoming. Regarding the food, it was undoubtedly one of the best restaurants I have eaten in Ireland, but for Belgians or French people used to good restaurants back home, do not expect the same level for the price. The dishes are very tasty and the ingredients are top quality, some perhaps lack a little complexity given the price. In the end, the prices are perhaps a little high compared to the food, especially when you add the tens of euros of service charges calculated from the amount of the stub
05/04/2025: Not the most welcoming place. Google maps says they're open till 11:30pm. As soon as I walked in at 9pm the hostess was already shaking her head no. She had a really unfriendly attitude. She then said they stopped food service at 9pm. Huh? Why is 11:30pm the advertised closing time then?
You're a restaurant in Galway... not the most exclusive night club in the world. I've been to restaurants all over the world...never have I seen a restaurant stop service 2.5 hrs before their advertised closing time.
Will never make the mistake of attempting to have a meal at this place again.

17/04/2025: We had a really pleasant meal (1 pan fried fish,1 duck and 1 roast lamb) the staff were really cheerful and helpful. The environment has a vintage feel to it, hence the name of the resteraunt. I heard that they are in their 40th year, may they continue for some time.
14/02/2025: Warm welcome, Steven, Pat & Waitresses great hosts. Valentines menu spoilt for choice. Food excellent. Ambient music.

Service and food were good!
Drury buildings gets pretty busy on weekends so make sure you make a reservation if you’re planning to be many.
29/03/2025: Had a lovely meal here - the food was great but could have been a tiny bit hotter arriving to the table! Star of the show was the focaccia and black olive tapenade!

17/03/2025: Was happy with menu to begin with, staff then enformed us there was no beef available, 75% of the menu was beef so had very limited choice but still decided to give it a try there was one vegetarian option and we asked the staff about it she said there could do a pasta dish instead so placed our order. 5 minutes later our waiter was back out saying they can not do the pasta dish after been told by another staff not 5 mins prior that that dish was available. We canceled our order because of this. As leaving we could hear the staff in the kitchen laughing as the girl canceled our order over the incompetence of your staff. So a very poor experience would not recommend
03/03/2025: A home from home experience...it has to be on YOUR BUCKET LIST...BOOKING ahead is advisable but not always essential....but can be busy...get involved in the banter...sing song...sports on TV...News items....all the problems will be solved....you'd never know who actually might drop in...
