The Smugglers Rest in Clogherhead

First visit today for the new lunch menu. Service was great, food was excellent, and the decor was very cool. Lunch for three was reasonablly priced for the quality of the food. I’d definitely recommend to put this on the list. I’ll definitely be back! Also dog friendly into the left bar.

Such fresh seafood dishes, a lovely atmosphere, and a friendly, welcoming team. Highly recommend!

I recently visited the Smugglers in Clogherhead. I am and was highly impressed with the food and the chef. I have food sensitivity and am unable to digest fats. I am also allergic to certain fish. On hearing this the chef came personally to our table and worked out a delicious meal for me. He was so attentive and nothing was too much. I cannot praise him enough and I was able to eat with our family of seven. Everyone enjoyed their meal and would recommend the Snugglers to their friends. The new management are professional and friendly.

Wow. Very tasty food. The chowder was off the hook, loaded with seafood and the broth was to die for. Fish and chips best I've had in a while. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Beautiful fresh seafood. Lovely staff. Nice atmosphere! Chowder and fish pot are highly recommended

The staff at The Smuggler's Rest are absolutely excellent, delivering top-tier service from the moment you walk in. Pair that welcoming atmosphere with their menu, and you get what is probably the best seafood in the country, an absolute must.

Amazing food, cocktails and staff

Came in just for a few drinks… ended up having some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. We decided to grab something to eat while we were there and everything was incredible. Fresh, full of flavour and clearly made with real care. Great atmosphere, really friendly service and everything felt relaxed and welcoming. Definitely worth stopping by, even if you’re only planning on having a drink.
