14/11/2024: Typical Irish pub, very welcoming! The staff is quick and kind, the dishes are really delicious and plentiful, they offer a selection of typical dishes of their tradition (I recommend their stew!) including breakfast. The desserts and obviously their beers on tap are also tasty! Prices in line with other pubs in Dublin, I happened to eat there several times and I never found it too chaotic. I recommend it!!

04/11/2024: Had a lovely evening with my husband, staff were amazing. Young man behind the bar with a moustache is a credit to the establishment, very friendly and makes great cocktails. My husband loved his pints of Guinness and I treated myself to some wonderful cocktails. Will definitely return and try the food soon.

Service was not really friendly and absent, had to chaise them to get the bill... Floor was sticky everywhere, didn't feel comfortable to sit there.

01/11/2024: Very nice and partially informal environment. The restaurant is upstairs of a pub. Menu in line with other typical restaurants but the dishes are made with care. The fried calamari was excellent. Not at all chewy and the panko breading perfectly crunchy and not greasy. The ribeye steak cooked perfectly. The only partial flaw is the sensation that the mashed potatoes are made with an immersion blender because there are no pieces of potato and the consistency suggests excessive starch breakdown. Good wine list and excellent choice of beers and whiskeys.

08/09/2024: Here for our second night of our wedding, the bride was the refused entry after putter her sick father to bed, and refused to let her get her husband or contact them for her as her phone was inside even though the whole bar was the wedding party. Absolutely disgusting and ruined a wedding weekend. Would not recommend at all.

26/08/2024: called into this bar with 2 friends from America and 3 relatives from England Myself and my wife. this was at 4.45 pm.26/8/2024 went into the bar there was 7 of us wanting drinks. young lad in his twenties after telling us to wait a minute then totally ignored us leaving from behind the bar and going elsewhere. no other bartenders there. disgusted we left. The bar man ignored us competent. Very poor customer service.

01/09/2024: Explained to waitress that I needed to ensure everything eaten was gluten free. No problem for chef. Chose Salmon & he ensured that the meal was free from gluten.. Salmon with Dill Sauce, chips cooked in a separate fryer and salad 😋

28/10/2024: We went for dinner yesterday, and although it wasn't our first time at this restaurant, it was the first time we were negatively surprised. Such a beautiful place, with delicious food and above-average prices, naturally leads to the expectation of top-notch service. We ordered a bottle of wine, and the staff member simply placed it on the table and walked away without opening or serving it. I’ve never had to open a bottle and serve myself in any restaurant. Another point to mention: as we were almost finishing our meal, eating, talking, and taking pauses (placing the cutlery in the break position, which indicates we were still eating), a staff member asked if they could clear the plates. This was a bit surprising, as the cutlery clearly indicated otherwise. Overall, the experience was great, but I’d suggest that for a restaurant with such a strong reputation, it would be beneficial to invest a bit more in staff training. Additionally, when the bill is requested, it would be more convenient to bring the card machine to the table, making the experience even smoother. But the food is absolutely delicious and we strongly recommend the Feather blade.

18/09/2024: Accidentally came across this gem while touring the countryside. Very friendly reception with a smile and a chat. Fabulous sweets with out coffee. Thank you so much for hints on local area, especially Lough Gur.

04/11/2024: Lovely setting friendly staff. But Dublin City prices €13.50.fir a zero zero Peroni and a glass of Pino. Did not eat here as we had booked a Restaurant in Clifden for dinner. The setting is amazing and staff very friendly but it annoys me when you get overcharged for drinks .

03/11/2024: I ordered crab claws. Very small and quite tasteless, and I am not talking about the sauce or the recipe style, the meat had very little flavour itself. I am not an expert but they made me think they could have been frozen. Had much better ones, in flavour and size, in many other places around Ireland and for less money. They came with nothing on the plate aside a slice of lemon. Considering all this, 22 euros sounds to me like a total rip off. The crab salad my partner got, one of the specials, at 19 euros, was the same size of a starter you would get anywhere else for much less, and was the most simple in terms of flavours and ingredients. The other thing we ordered was a portion of chips, which looked and tasted like frozen oven chips. A good fast food chain would serve possibly better ones. Considering the many other incredible gastro pubs and fish restaurants Ireland offers everywhere nowadays, this is one I would not recommend. Total tourists trap in my opinion.
