11/04/2026: Big restaurant right off the water. Big selection of craft brews and delicious food. Friendly wait staff as well. The bangers and mash was delicious!

17/05/2026: A lovely time at this restaurant after our walk along the coast :). So lucky to have this location to recharge our batteries, with a varied menu and right next to the bus stop for heading back to Dublin. Thank you!

20/12/2025: Sometimes when I'm taking public transport between Limerick and Kilkenny, the bus is late arriving into clonmel; meaning id have to wait around town for a few hours. Usually I would be mad about this, but having an excuse to visit this café always almost leaves me excited to miss my bus

11/05/2026: I would highly recommend Bobby Byrne's .We had a group for a hen recently. Niall in particular and staff were fantastic. The carvery was delicious with very good portions. Guinness also great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere .fab music.lovely clientele.will definitely go again.Thank you for making our weekend very special. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

11/05/2026: Had a hen party in Bobbys during the river fest weekend , staff couldn’t have been nicer even though they were so busy , carvery was unreal and great buzz here, would highly recommend !!

08/06/2026: Everything was great except, for the price of the room, we expected a bottle of water in the room.

04/06/2026: The food was really poor quality and a low standard. We couldn’t eat it because it was so over cooked. Service was very good but it’s such a shame about the food as we typically love it

27/05/2026: We were there yesterday, there was no live music that evening (it was a Tuesday night) and the pub was rather empty. The pub is definitely even better with live music! Nevertheless, we had a wonderful evening and stayed for about five hours. The bartender was very friendly, approachable, always ready with a joke, and told us lots of things and explained a great deal. We also met other tourists, and it was a truly fantastic evening that we will certainly remember forever! Many thanks to the staff! ❤️

17/05/2026: The bartender took my drink order and then set down a Guinness (which is what I ordered) right in front of me. A random man BEHIND me came up to me and said "hey that's mine" to which I responded "oh, sorry, are you sure?" he said"yes". I (as a woman) looked to the bartender (also a woman) and said "Sorry, is this his or mine?" she responded "His"... I think? (it was very very loud in there). I said "sorry what?" to which she responded "It. is. his.", in a very rude and exacerbated tone. I said "Sorry I didn't know, just wanted to confirm" . She continued to patronize me and I again said "I'm sorry it was his, I just wanted to make sure" she rolled her eyes at me and continued to talk down to me, over-explaining how I should know it is someone else's drink when I was shoulder to shoulder with other people at the bar in an atmosphere where I had to yell to the person next to me in order for them to hear me . She continued to say how I should know it was his and I said "How was I supposed to know that?" I apologized to the man behind me and he said "no worries, it's all good" (the bar tender saw all of this). I apologized to him again. Bartender looked at me and said "obviously it's his because I wouldn't make your beer that fast, it has to set first" and then a few seconds later slammed my beer down in front of me.

22/05/2026: Every course was so beautifully presented and thoughtful. There were some creative combinations which were incredibly delicious and we’ve never seen them anywhere else. Plus the team work so well together and are so knowledgeable - it made the experience really pleasant, thank you!

23/03/2026: A wonderful experience with friends. The quality and finesse of the dishes were remarkable. Cooking and flavors were perfectly executed. The wine pairing was excellent value. The dessert was outstanding, as was the mushroom and langoustine appetizer.

12/06/2026: This place makes you feel like you are part of the family. We had an amazing experience. The food was great, the staff was extremely friendly and share great recommendations. The dessert was perfect. I had the bread and butter pudding...wow!!!

22/10/2025: Location was wonderful. the staff was very kind and tried to be as helpful as possible… Rooms were very outdated, extremely dusty/musty, beds very uncomfortable, Wi-Fi didn’t work half the time & AC was broken with inability to be fixed. The room also smelled terribly of a nursing home which did not dissipate at all with our windows open for two days.

21/10/2025: Such a great spot! I was visiting Galway for a few days with my family, and we could not have picked a better location. All the staff were so kind. Henrique at reception in particular was incredibly helpful and very fun to converse with.

04/05/2026: We ordered 2 large portions of chicken wings and the portion was smaller than a small portion of wings. I raise this with the waitress and she said she placed a large order, she has no control of the portions… then I saw the next table order a large portion and I knew they messed up our order.. 18€ per portion mind you.. I’m just upset I didn’t take a photo of it.. we also ordered prawns pil pil.. 19€ for this.. pizza is 19€ for an average pizza.. the pub is good for pints but make sure you eat before you go…

04/05/2026: This pub in Blanchardstown village has a lot of character! 🍻 The atmosphere was truly unique (thou PETA activist beware). While the breaded Brie was a bit simple for what they charged, and a small charge mix-up happened, the seafood linguine, beef & Guinness pie, and noodles were wonderful. 😋 I want to definitely return try their carvery! 🍽️
