28/02/2025: Comimos aquí dos veces. Una vez en persona y otra con servicio de habitaciones. Primero cenando. El restaurante es absolutamente hermoso. Cada persona que trabaja aquí es profesional, pero también amable y una alegría para hablar. Nos hicieron sentir tan especiales y también como si fuéramos amigos. Como nota complementaria rápida, en el bar, el joven que trabaja allí también es una joya. Dromoland Castle es una suerte tener un personal tan encantador. Para nuestra comida, nos trajeron pan y mantequilla. Se sirve frío. Preferimos el pan caliente, pero el pan frío era lo normal en los restaurantes que visitábamos. Para empezar tuvimos el tartar de atún y la sopa Tom, se nos olvidó todo el nombre. Ambos eran tan buenos. El atún sabía fresco y la sopa estaba caliente y muy bueno. Para la red, pedimos el filete de angus y la olla pollo asado. El filete era tierno y sabroso. El pollo servido no era lo que figuraba en el menú. En el menú no hay menciones de setas o pasta y se enumera como una comida sin gluten. Lo que se sacó fue pollo con pasta y hongos. No dije nada, solo aparté la pasta y los hongos del pollo, comiendo solo la carne. El pollo estaba perfectamente cocinado y era bueno. Para el postre, pedimos el helado de vainilla y sorbete, delicioso y ligero. La noche siguiente pedimos servicio de habitaciones. Intentamos pedir el filete de nuevo, pero nos dijeron que no estaba en el menú. Así que pedimos el tartar de atún (de nuevo) y la costilla corta de angus negro. Los caballeros que trajeron nuestra comida lo preparó tan agradable y de nuevo fueron geniales. El atún estaba tan bueno como la noche anterior. Las costillas cortas estaban tiernas, pero mi marido prefería el filete de la noche anterior, solo su gusto personal. En conjunto, este es un restaurante maravilloso con buena comida y gente encantadora.

15/02/2025: Absolutely beautiful Valentine’s Day dinner here ♥️ I got the oysters, chicken and strawberry dessert. My partner loved his crab gnocchi, venison and pecan dessert ✨ Amuse bouche and complimentary sweet treats to top it all off! On top of a lovely rose and chocolates as a Valentine’s Day treat 💘 Thanks so much to Ian, Eric, Lily and the whole team for taking care of us from start to finish! Also absolutely beautiful harp playing 🎼 I loved it and highly recommend for your special occasions

22/05/2025: This restaurant always manages to serve top class satisfying meals and I can’t resist their excellent desserts!. I often buy their apple or berry tarts to take away as they are unique for taste and perfect for a special occasion. The staff is always pleasantly attentive and the chef/cook knows all about presenting lovely tasty meals. Well done to the Country Market team for very high standards in value and great flavors.

03/04/2025: Beautiful coffee shop/restaurant country style, and colourful. Many original fixtures very nicely decorated. Food was very nice and fresh 😋 nice portions. Healthy and vegetarian options are available. I will definitely comeback again

17/05/2025: This restaurant serves sumptuous meals! ❤️ It was our first time to be in this part of Cork. It is a bit of a distance from the city where we usually go and eat. It was kind of late lunch at 1500 and we never thought of finding a gem restaurant in Kanturk. We ordered chicken curry, catch of the day (seabass) and goujons for my Lo. I can't stop telling my husband how delicious their food was, left no crumbs. The ambiance is so relaxing and cozy. . . Everyone should try to dine in here. 😉 Not to mention the gentleman in the reception. ❤️

17/04/2025: We had a really pleasant meal (1 pan fried fish,1 duck and 1 roast lamb) the staff were really cheerful and helpful. The environment has a vintage feel to it, hence the name of the resteraunt. I heard that they are in their 40th year, may they continue for some time.

17/05/2025: Have not been in here in a long long time. I had fillet steak and it was lovely. Blue cheese sauce was gorgeous. Will be back in again.

18/05/2025: Just had the most amazing Sunday roast, tender succulent meat, vegetables cooked to perfection, friendly staff very attentive but not too much all for under 40 euro. We'll be back, would love to stay overnight.

14/05/2025: I popped into La Marine yesterday for a quick lunch before tackling a long walk on the beach (and that's another story..!). A very helpful waitress found me a table very quickly. I only wanted a light lunch so I had the Seafood Chowder. It was very tasty and came with some really nice brown bread and sourdough. Service was great, the Guinness was lovely and it was very good value.

21/02/2025: We had lunch in the restaurant after a fantastic morning in the spa. Couldn't fault the restaurant. The staff were so friendly and really engaging with the customers. They accommodated our food request. Several people checked on us throughout our meal which was lovely. Our orders arrived very promptly and the food was delicious. I couldn't fault it. So nice to visit a restaurant where the staff are so well trained and friendly.

14/04/2025: What an amazing host and chef Namir is. So inviting and sociable. Food was outstanding super value for money. Great with the teens and kids if our group. Will be returning and booking in the summer!!!!

07/04/2025: Best small cosy boutique Reastraunt in de middle of de town, Namirs n Kay are brilliant hosts, very Accommodating special if something a family wit kids want, "I can do soups toasties salads" no rubbish as a cheap alternative!! etc great quality food n veg. Love his fresh fish n salad wit chips. Love to visit regular

25/05/2025: Traditional Irish food warmed our belly and spirits. Seafood chowder and cottage pie were very rich and delicious. Excellent coffee. Ate and watched the pouring rain outside, grateful for great food, warmth, and service. Would highly recommend.

18/02/2025: Lovely small restaurant situated on the edge of the bay. Food is varied and delicious. Prices are reasonable with very friendly and pleasant staff

15/02/2025: The food here is lovely but the toilets leave a lot to be desired. Dirty underside of toilet seat, urine on toilet pan, pedal bin not working, no hand towels, encrusted dirt and scum in the corners and on the skirting, no hygiene chart. It's a really simple thing to keep clean. If the toilets are this unsanitary how dirty is the kitchen? I won't come back.

01/06/2025: 13 of us went to have a family dinner to remember my brother who died earlier in the year. The service was efficient and friendly. The room cool to the point of uncomfortable. The food very poor and overpriced. My started salmon pretty basic and uninteresting. Breads were nice but had to keep asking for more butter. Lamb for main was just okay sauce and gravy not nice, mustard grained mashed potato not nice and unseasoned. Strawberry pavlova was actually meringue not pavlova, the cream appeared not to be real cream far too sweet, a scattering of strawberries. All very disappointing for circa €70 a head. I would not recommend at all and won’t be returning

18/05/2025: A regular at tge Shelbourne but a big treat to step into The Saddle Room. A must do. Everything was just perfect.

26/05/2025: Been here so many times and have to say the food is always fresh and hot and served quickly. Portions are a good size the place is spotless and staff friendly this really is a great example of how to do things right.

13/04/2025: Lovely spot for a lovely meal. Very clean and the beef melted in your mouth. If I had to find fault it would be there were no roast potatoes with the beef dinner.

21/05/2025: Dated menu, too expensive for what it is. The toilets are falling apart , tap broken since last time I called in as well as toilet dispenser . The drinks menu prices is wrong so we got charged extra.
