08/10/2025: Had some high expectations visiting Kai. The food was okay, but I wouldn't say Michelin star worthy. The fish was very salty. Staff was very distant and we didn't feel welcome. Won't come back again.

03/10/2025: So looking forward to this night in Galway, however we were somewhat disappointed with the overall service. We have given the food a generous 3 stars. Pork chop was nearly cold and the Steak although cooked to a beautiful medium rare was tough to chew, not what you would expect given the recent reviews. We did not feel any connection with the staff, almost dismissed of any connection . I don’t think we will be returning. Price in this case did not match the overall expectations of Kai Galway

10/07/2025: ⸻ A very cosy and delicious place in Ballybofey! They always serve fresh, high-quality food — from hearty burgers to light salads. I really enjoyed the warm goat cheese salad with nuts, and the large plate with meats, veggies and mixed salads — everything was well prepared and beautifully presented. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back!

19/10/2025: I couldn't get good review from google about this place. Most food photos were lunch or breakfast. I was looking for to have dinner there. I went and gave them a try. Absolutely delicious food. Served all day. Staff working there nice ,polite and smiling. I go back there again when im around. Well done Bailey and staff 👏!!!!

20/09/2025: We had a nice evening at The Saddleroom. The front areas of the restaurant are creatively decorated and very inviting, but the main dining room where we were seated lacked character by comparison. The private room next door also had a much warmer, more charming atmosphere. We started with two appetizers—the quail and the scallops—which were good but not great. The main dishes, however, really stood out. My husband ordered the center-cut filet, perfectly cooked and served with a flavorful sauce, tender mushrooms, and potatoes. I had the fish, which came in a creamy, unforgettable butter and leek sauce with perfectly cooked shrimp. Both entrées were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

28/09/2025: from the wooden floors to the tables with cast iron legs to the color scheme of the interior to the way this beautiful stone cottage is nestled into the moss-covered rock behind it: everything is just lovely! with a breathtaking view! unlike other cafes or restaurants with an exceptional location, where you oftentimes get low quality for high prices (because they can), here, you have slightly higher prices (probably city level: 5.40 for a Matcha Latte / 7.95 for a Lemon Curd Cake & 6.95 for a gluten-free Chocolate Roll - which is unusually low in price) you get large portions (my boyfriend couldn’t finish his Lemon Cake, that amateur) and top notch quality! you can taste the love and care that goes into their products. same goes for the shop which has a beautiful selection and high quality. all in all one of the best stops we made!
