18/03/2025: Carrig House is a beautiful place. The scenery is out of this World, the minute you step inside the door, you get a sense of calm, the beautiful welcome from Claire and Kevin gives permission to switch off from your busy life & let us take care of you! I'd 2 thoroughly enjoyable days at Carrig. The service was impeccable. The food is one of the highlights. We went for a lake view room. So happy we did. Switched my phone off for the entire stay and sat in nature, I listened to the birds from my room while overlooking the lake.Carrig House has been on my destination list for over a decade, finally made it and it exceeded my expectations.

26/06/2024: Very tasty fish and chips! No finished goods, everything fresh. Other pubs or restaurants can get involved. Only the ambience is not nice, even for a snack bar. The owner is very friendly!

31/03/2025: My wife and I and our 2 old dogs had the pleasure of visiting this lovely bar twice during our week in Loughanure. On both occasions the food and service was first class and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back

15/04/2025: We were there on Sunday 13th March 2025 for a family meal. From the very moment we walked through the door we were greeted and made feel very welcome. The waitress serving us was so patient and had a laugh or smile for every one placing orders even those to changed their minds at last moment, Food was absolutely delicious and portions were huge. Unfortunately Our 2 year grandson had a seizure during the meal and staff ( everyone of them including manager, waiting staff and first aiders) were absolutely amazing and helped in every possible way even wanting to call and ambulance or drive the child and his parents to wherever they needed to go. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I've never seen such friendly, compassionate or helpful staff such as those in Lisdoo. Thank you so so much for your amazing help in every possible way.

31/03/2025: Few people at day time, big tasty food, but espresso without water😆. Can’t say that it’s a very clean place, but with its atmosphere.

05/02/2025: Rooms were so big and well equipped. We ate at the hotels pub and the food was lovely and also very big portions. Plenty of choice at breakfast too. I would go back

15/03/2025: Very overpriced for pub food. Garlic mushrooms are €9.95 for three regular sized mushrooms, which is dreadful for the price. Waitress was lovely but management staff very curt and unwelcoming.

28/03/2025: Saoirse was absolutely amazing, the service she provided was 10/10. The place looked super clean and tidy which was amazing to see. The burrito I got was very fresh tasting and lovely and warm. Overall this was the best experience I have had in the whole of the shop so far. Very friendly and professional staff and very accommodating. Saoirse made it very easy to order as she explained what everything was, what she herself would usually get and provided some amazing options. Will 100% be returning again!!!

28/02/2025: Comimos aquí dos veces. Una vez en persona y otra con servicio de habitaciones. Primero cenando. El restaurante es absolutamente hermoso. Cada persona que trabaja aquí es profesional, pero también amable y una alegría para hablar. Nos hicieron sentir tan especiales y también como si fuéramos amigos. Como nota complementaria rápida, en el bar, el joven que trabaja allí también es una joya. Dromoland Castle es una suerte tener un personal tan encantador. Para nuestra comida, nos trajeron pan y mantequilla. Se sirve frío. Preferimos el pan caliente, pero el pan frío era lo normal en los restaurantes que visitábamos. Para empezar tuvimos el tartar de atún y la sopa Tom, se nos olvidó todo el nombre. Ambos eran tan buenos. El atún sabía fresco y la sopa estaba caliente y muy bueno. Para la red, pedimos el filete de angus y la olla pollo asado. El filete era tierno y sabroso. El pollo servido no era lo que figuraba en el menú. En el menú no hay menciones de setas o pasta y se enumera como una comida sin gluten. Lo que se sacó fue pollo con pasta y hongos. No dije nada, solo aparté la pasta y los hongos del pollo, comiendo solo la carne. El pollo estaba perfectamente cocinado y era bueno. Para el postre, pedimos el helado de vainilla y sorbete, delicioso y ligero. La noche siguiente pedimos servicio de habitaciones. Intentamos pedir el filete de nuevo, pero nos dijeron que no estaba en el menú. Así que pedimos el tartar de atún (de nuevo) y la costilla corta de angus negro. Los caballeros que trajeron nuestra comida lo preparó tan agradable y de nuevo fueron geniales. El atún estaba tan bueno como la noche anterior. Las costillas cortas estaban tiernas, pero mi marido prefería el filete de la noche anterior, solo su gusto personal. En conjunto, este es un restaurante maravilloso con buena comida y gente encantadora.

My partner loved his crab gnocchi, venison and pecan dessert ✨ Amuse bouche and complimentary sweet treats to top it all off! On top of a lovely rose and chocolates as a Valentine’s Day treat 💘 Thanks so much to Ian, Eric, Lily and the whole team for taking care of us from start to finish! Also absolutely beautiful harp playing 🎼 I loved it and highly recommend for your special occasions

22/03/2025: It’s a while since we’ve eaten here but have to say the food and service this evening was absolutely top notch. The broccoli soup was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the sea bass and prawn tempura. As good as any much more expensive Dublin restaurant. The welcome and attentiveness of the staff was brilliant. Well done folks. We only live 15 minutes away and will be coming more often.
