21/07/2025: Beautiful hotel! The room was comfortable and clean, the staff was welcoming and very hospitable, and the food at the on-site restaurant was great. It is a bit isolated, but if you're staying for a night or two, it's absolutely perfect. Plus, many of the rooms have a balcony - a very nice touch!

21/07/2025: Beautiful hotel. Spacious room, lovely setting. Easy check in. Friendly staff. Super clean, even the tv remote was in a plastic protector!! Used the leisure centre which was relaxing. Evening meal was gorgeous. Lovely spacious areas to sit and relax on all floors. Can not fault our stay.

19/04/2026: We had a fabulous time at the Beleek Castle. The desk clerk explained about the castle and signed us up for a guided tour. Tickets were reasonable. Our guide was a school teacher and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the castle. It is richly decorated with antiques and is popular with people planning weddings. The best 2 areas were the room of Jurassic fossils and the room of ancient weapons and armor.

05/04/2026: So I am incredibly sad to give such a low star rating for the food and castle but there are significant points of difference if you are interested in the environment and you subscribe to their “garden to table” ethos. Firstly, the food was amazing and the staff were absolutely lovely. That said the cheese course was poor (and I’m sure the grapes weren’t local 🤣) but I think there were supply issues so the dish wasn’t as per the menu. The Castle claims to have a walk to table philosophy versus miles for ingredients so I was surprised to see asparagus on the menu at the beginning of April. I asked the question to the waitress in terms of how they managed to have asparagus at this time of year. The lovely lady didn’t know but asked the kitchen and apparently they have “a very good gardener”. I will take that as a horticulturalist with a pinch of salt given the weather conditions. The only thing that is absolutely unforgivable is that they burn peat, the carbon sink of the planet and the most precious resource known to man. Peat sale is banned in Ireland unless you have Turbary rights (local family’s use of peat for fuel but can’t be sold under law) but sadly I have seen that Airbnb’s and hotels that do not need to rely on cheap peat fuel as they are profiteering from people staying and they don’t seem to meet the Turbary right rules. They are not rural communities struggling with the cost of fuel crisis. I have been absolutely dumbfounded by the Irish’s approach to peat, it is heartbreaking 💔.

21/04/2026: Downstairs felt cozy. Everyone was friendly and service was great. Absolutely loved the toasty!

16/04/2026: Delicious traditional comfort food in Galway The old architecture and ambience are very charming and the good was served rather quickly and felt homemade. I recommend to try some Irish meals.

02/01/2026: Top notch pub experience. Food is brilliant in the pub and in the restaurant upstairs too. Live music, darts, sports on tv, the whole vibe.

21/09/2025: every time my family go to cavan we always go to dinner here!! the staff are so lovely and attentive and we’ve never had any problems with our food. They also offer gluten free and can cater to other options. Definitely recommend this place!! :)

07/04/2026: Really disappointing experience unfortunately. We popped in for lunch after visiting the gaol but it was very substandard quality. The fish and chips was inedible - it was sloppy and slimy inside, and the batter was thick and soft. The chicken goujons are squidgy reformed with orange breadcrumbs...like kids food from a frozen fopd shop. The toastie and burgers were ok. All in in considering the price charged for meals, the quality of food is completely unacceptable and I would avoid for anything other than drinks.

09/12/2025: Went there to see a band. Great night had. Great pub, good service

29/10/2025: Good atmosphere! The resident cocktail maker was not present but the fella behind the bar did his best and produced some top quality cocktails for us. Staff are incredibly sound.

08/04/2026: Stop by here today I can only say how lovely Irene was at reception she was so accommodating to us showed us the dinning room and gardens, she was so welcoming to myself and my husband, she is a gem to to this place makes you feel so welcoming, we will definitely be back after this experience. 04/04/2026: We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the lovely Hunters Hotel just before Easter. A small, understated hotel with a really interesting history, the real standout is the exceptional service - friendly, confident and provided with ease. Highly recommended.

21/03/2025: Esta es la segunda vez que he estado en Locks... Siempre iré aquí cuando esté en Dublín. La ubicación en lo que parece ser una zona residencial tranquila cerca de un arroyo o pequeño río es agradable. El restaurante está en un espacio genial y acogedor. El menú no es enorme, pero la comida es deliciosa.

30/12/2025: Nice atmosphere with all the Christmas shoppers in and out. Friendly service and very clean bathroom.

14/12/2025: Great turkey and ham dinner. The mash especially was delicious!
