I was here for lunch on a wet cold day. The Strand is cosy. The fire was lit. The service was excellent. Choice on the menu is ideal. The food and desserts are amazing, plus great quality. Highly recommended. On the plus side, the beach is right beside the hotel. So a little walk afterwards finished the evening off nicely.

Wow what a find. Randomly decided to choose here to celebrate an occasion with friends recently & we all fell in love. You now have returning customers. Staff are amazing. Food is delicious. Rooms were so comfortable & clean. The view of the water from the rooms were fab.

Stayed at The Strand with girlfriends for dinner B&B on 6th January (Nollag na mBan) and it was wonderful, the food, the service the welcome let alone the creac! Thank you Catherine and all the team for making our stay so memorable. Ruth Daly

Pure bliss... what more could you want. Literally sitting beside the sea. Great atmosphere and lovely staff willing to please at every turn. A cosy fire providing warmth. Cold winters afternoon and between us we had soup and seafood chowder and both dishes were very tasty. Will be returning. The toilets were also spotless as was the bar and restaurant. I could not find fault.

The Spinnaker

24/01/2024: A tranquil, chic restaurant with small discounts. Unfortunately, it was only after visiting the restaurant that I noticed that there must have been some kind of resin (cleaning agent?) on my chair. Because my pants suddenly had sticky spots that couldn't be easily removed. The food was quite good, even if it was very expensive in relation to the portion: on recommendation, my companion ordered a fish plate. But this portion was so small that he was still hungry when he left the restaurant.
13/11/2023: Taking an art class and never being here before, I walked in not knowing reservations were being taken for dinner. Even so, I was escorted to a nice table and waited on by a wonderful waitress who presented me with great service and the fish and chips were delicious. Her service was refreshing and gleaned a nice tip from me!
