A tranquil, chic restaurant with small discounts. Unfortunately, it was only after visiting the restaurant that I noticed that there must have been some kind of resin (cleaning agent?) on my chair. Because my pants suddenly had sticky spots that couldn't be easily removed. The food was quite good, even if it was very expensive in relation to the portion: on recommendation, my companion ordered a fish plate. But this portion was so small that he was still hungry when he left the restaurant.
Taking an art class and never being here before, I walked in not knowing reservations were being taken for dinner. Even so, I was escorted to a nice table and waited on by a wonderful waitress who presented me with great service and the fish and chips were delicious. Her service was refreshing and gleaned a nice tip from me!
Really nice pub with great outdoor section but reducing by 2 stars for the following:
The diavola pizza was awful. Premade base with chilli flakes lashed all over it instead of fresh chilli peppers( or even chilli peppers out of a jar) would be ok!
I was coughing the whole time I was eating it due to inhaling all the chilli dust/flakes and I order diavolas everywhere all the time and this is probably the most expensive and worst tasting Ive had.
Would be ok if it was cheap but €17 is taking the absolute pistachio compared to other top pizza joints charging less for better quality
Also service was not great. Staff did not seem to be trained up and didn't have a clue what to do. Were getting flustered at taking simple orders and seemed to have to ask each other committee style what to do.
Needs to improve on the food front....
