Many years coming to Dunmore East and first time to eat in The Spinnaker - OMG Food Quality, Service, Value, Portions all first class - highly recommend visiting - go there hungry as will really enjoy

Steak was tough, sinewy and not seasoned. Had to leave half behind and fill up on chips. Need to get a new supplier if going to change €37. Don’t mean to moan but table was sticky from excessive use of disinfectant, suggest wash down with water only from time to time. Shame we can’t recommend as venue and staff are 1st class

Had a delicious meal here while on holiday. The Dunmore East seafood pie was out of this world- incredible flavours. A lovely relaxed atmosphere with impeccable service. Highly recommended!

Looked quiet from outside but nice and busy inside with a nice buzz. Had the mackerel and it was fantastic . Calamari a little over cooked . Mussels fab also . Staff friendly and attentive

The Strand Inn

28/05/2026: Visited with my family for food and drinks only, not the hotel stay. The location and views are absolutely beautiful β€” on a sunny day it genuinely felt more like being somewhere in Spain than Ireland. The atmosphere and seaside setting are definitely the highlight of this place. Unfortunately, the food and service did not match the location. The prices were quite high for the quality received β€” for example, the fish of the day with chips was €23 and quite disappointing. We also had to ask twice for additional drinks and the order was still ignored, which made the experience frustrating. Overall, a lovely place for the views and atmosphere, but the food and service need improvement.
18/05/2026: Right by the sea. Excellent breakfast spot.Very accomodating staff.
