22/03/2025: Had an amazing stay over the weekend at Kilcoolys! The staff, food and vibe in their pub was immaculate! Have stayed here before, it is only a very short walk to the beautiful beach, will definitely be back again!

17/03/2025: Had a great stay. Gorgeous room, great location for getting down to the beach and going for nice walks and the staff were fantastic. Will be coming back for sure!

11/03/2025: Lounge area is very nice since the renovation, drink prices are reasonable too. Food is very average, nothing special. Servers aren't very attentive from multiple experiences here, usually have had to come up to the bar to order another drink. Bartenders are friendly.

21/04/2025: We had a lovely dinner. It's one of the best fish and chips we have had. I had the gluten-free one, and it was amazing. They were very nice and friendly to book a table via email. Danilo was very attentive and the waitresses as well. Thank you guys.

05/11/2024: We call into The Cozy when heading for Dublin from Donegal, you simply won't beat it!!. It's home from home but better 😀 home cooked classics & delicious deserts as well as a lovely warm welcome each time from the girls 🫶🤙

19/03/2025: Arrived at the door with my girlfriend, asked for id as standard procedure and after verifying and accepting her passport and taking a look at mine i was told that I needed Irish id and that I looked too young in my Passport photo to be let in. This whole situation could have been easily prevented by simply allowing me to enter with my valid id but no they insisted on making ignorant comments about my nationality honestly disgusted and didn’t think this low of Brady’s as this is NOT my first time being here but it WILL be my last

29/03/2025: We pulled up in our boat at the jetty. We had two dogs with us so we wanted to get take away. The service was incredibly efficient and getting delicious food to take away was not a problem. The portions were HUGE!!! And the food was beautiful, highly recommend for lovely location and food

18/04/2025: We have always enjoyed our breakfast at Bakestone. We’ve been happy and satisfied customers here for many years. However, today was different. Dreadful and upsetting experience here this morning. Went to Bakestone, as we have done for a long time, to meet friends for breakfast. We arrived ahead of our friends and ordered coffee from the server while we waited for our friends. We told the server that we would order our food once they had arrived. At this point in time another member of staff, who was manning the till, arrived and advised the staff member that there were clearing tables. We were asked to go ahead and order our coffee. This we did. At the till, an extremely rude and somewhat aggressive member of staff demanded that we return to the order area as we didn’t have a table number. We politely informed her that we were asked to go to the till by the other member of staff. She became very animated and very sharp with us. Her tone with us was totally unacceptable. She mentioned something about a leaking roof and she didn’t have any tables. We responded that we were asked to go and order our coffee at the till. The person on the till continued to be rude and very confrontational with us. We asked the initial server if we could speak with a manager. We were advised that the person on the till was the manager. We were then told we could sit outside with our coffee. We make the decision to have our coffee outside as advised and wait for our friends. We decided not to order any food and when our friends arrive advised them not to order food. We would go elsewhere for breakfast. Dreadful customer service and could not recommend this establishment. I can see from the reviews that there is a pattern of poor reviews here.

20/03/2025: Bakerstone Café is absolutely delightful! The Eggs Benedict with spinach sandwich is scrumptious—flavorful and satisfying. The apple pie and cheesecake are both incredibly yummy and make for the perfect sweet treat. The staff is friendly and always serving with a smile, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, including the restrooms. It’s a lovely spot for a delicious meal and a pleasant experience all around!

20/03/2025: A very nice pub with a friendly host. The food is excellent, and the staff is great at helping you choose the right drink (whisky), and you can even get a taste of the right one.

08/03/2025: Our family ate here a few times now and have not been disappointed. Very friendly staff, the pizzas are amazing, one of the best in town....definitely recommend.....

16/04/2025: Staff are so friendly and always remember you with a lil hello even when its not their table. New manager is lovely aswell, attention to detail is superb even when busy. Nice atmosphere on Sat morning for brekkie which is delicious. Fave go to meal is chicken curry half n half never fails. Nice touch with the giant popadoms.

20/03/2025: Very tasty food, e.g., steamed pike with rice and seafood sauce. Finally, some fish that wasn't fried in beer batter and served with French fries.

02/01/2025: The food was good & solid. Starters: Chowder tasty, little bit thick though (personal choice) with nice homemade brown bread. Fish & chips were three fish goujons, which were too small for a portion. Very tasty homemade tartare & nicely dressed salad. Chips were frozen - I would recommend they use different. Would help distinguish the place from rest. Dessert was homemade sticky toffee & was tasty. Coffee ok. Service was very good and attentive. Food came out quickly. Price wise not expensive & reasonable enough. Would recommend 👌
