Eva's Bar & Restaurant
Cahirciveen
28/04/2026: The food was excellent, didn’t stay in the accommodation but would highly recommend for a lovely meal. The sizzling prawns and pan fried hake was beautiful.
03/04/2026: The most delicious food you will get in Cahersiveen is in Eva’s restaurant! If you want flavoursome and classic dishes cooked to perfection, go here ! We had the fish and chips (beautiful hake with lovely light batter), lemon creamy chicken, and spaghetti prawns. Oh my god we licked the plates !

Glendine inn
Kilkenny
18/06/2026: I don't understand how anyone can give such an establishment 5 stars.
Apart from the free parking and its location 2 km from the castle, nothing justifies the price.
Room number 10 was unsanitary, and the breakfast was disastrous.
I strongly advise against staying at this hotel.
06/06/2026: Food is a joke, not recommend, you will eat better food at local takeaway..

The Central Bar
Navan (an uaimh)
26/05/2026: Good stuff 👏
A huge thank you to Aoife Sean and Conor for the birthday wishes!!! It was so sweet 🥰😍
Listen up, everyone!!! This restaurant makes amazing seabass with green beans and baked baby potatoes. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and that's so wonderful and so important for everyone!
Delicious passion fruit dessert.
19/05/2026: I am a local and have been in The Central multiple times and have always had a great experience, whether its been a family dinner, birthday party, drinks with friends, karaoke or musical bingo. The staff are so friendly, attentive and helpful. So many fun nights, days and yummy food. I am vegan and there are always options for me which is a bonus. Whether you're after a relaxing coffee, a cosy pint, dinner or lunch or a fun night with friends, every occasion is covered. Highly recommend 👌

MJ's Diner
Tralee
13/03/2026: Great food, staff are very professional.
06/02/2026: This was my second time ordering the flame dog. The first time was just before closing time so the lack of tortilla chips supposed to with hot dog was missing. So today I went back at 5 pm. I ordered the flame dog again. This time the amount of taco sauce was laughable, a bare bit on one corner, and again no tortilla chips. The taco mince was lukewarm which i didn't figure until after I went back and said it about the sauce and tortilla chips, they gave me more taco sauce but said they had no tortilla chips, which the hotdog needs for texture to an otherwise mushy dish. How do they not have tortilla chips on a Friday at 5pm. Or are the tortilla chips non existent? I'm sure they are apart of the 8.50 price. So if they're not giving you what is advertising they need to either reduce the price or remove the tortilla from the menu. The chef looked like he didn't care when he was told. The waitress was no bother.

Tatler Jack
Killarney
10/06/2026: Fabulous location
Lovely food
Nice room
Great atmosphere in the bar.
09/06/2026: Tatler Jack was great. We stayed two nights and the room was cozy and fit our needs. The pub had great food (especially the included breakfast) and the drinks were plentiful and priced right. The nightly music was fun and surprisingly not too loud in the room above. The location can't be beat and is close to everything.
If you want a fun spot in the heart if Killarney, Tatler Jack is a fine option.

21/03/2026: We met for lunch. The food was excellent, cooked fresh and served with a smile. The staff were lovely; very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
16/03/2026: Very disappointed with our meal here. After getting a recommendation, we decided to have Sunday lunch here. We were told that no tables were available until 16:30, so we booked for then.
We duly turned up at that time, and they tried to seat us in the wrong part. After pointing this out, we were taken to find a virtually empty restaurant. So, why having to wait until 16:30 for lunch?
The young staff ignored us for a while until we called one of them over. We chose the Sunday roast, which was a very limited menu (2 starters, 4 mains, 2 desserts).
We ordered, only to be told that they had run out of lamb. Have you been around Donegal? What is there a lot of? Sheep!
The chowder was rather thin and the vegetable soup uninspiring.
The mains were OK (just), although the Yorkshire puddings looked like Aunt Bessie's and were tepid.
I chose the crumble for dessert and asked for it, and the custard, to be very hot.
So, of course, when it arrived it was stone cold (not even warm). That got sent back...
Overall - very poor quality and we won't be returning.
